यशायाह 39

1 उसी समय बाबेल के राजा बलादन के पुत्र मेरोदाख-बलादान ने हिज़किय्याह के लिए पत्र तथा एक उपहार भेजा, क्योंकि उन्हें यह समाचार मिला, कि हिज़किय्याह अस्वस्थ था तथा अब वह ठीक है.

At that time Marduk-Baladan son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a gift to Hezekiah; for he had heard that Hezekiah had been sick and had recovered.

2 हिज़किय्याह उनकी बातें ध्यान से सुनता रहा, फिर उनका स्वागत करते हुए उसने उन्हें अपना सारा खजाना, सोना-चांदी और सभी मसाले, कीमती तेल, अपना हथियार घर और अपने भंडार घर की सारी वस्तुएं दिखा दीं; यानी सभी कुछ, जो उसके खजानों में जमा था. उसके घर में या उसके सारी राज्य में ऐसा कुछ न था, जो उसने उन्हें न दिखाया हो.

Hezekiah was pleased by these things; he showed the messengers his storehouse of valuable things—the silver, the gold, the spices and precious oil, the storehouse of his weapons, and all that was found in his storehouses. There was nothing in his house, nor in all his kingdom, that Hezekiah did not show them.

3 यह होने के बाद भविष्यद्वक्ता यशायाह राजा हिज़किय्याह से भेंट करने गए और उससे कहा, “क्या कह रहे हैं ये लोग, कहां से आए थे?” “हिज़किय्याह ने उत्तर दिया, वे एक दूर देश से—बाबेल से मेरे पास आए थे.”

Then Isaiah the prophet came to King Hezekiah and asked him, “What did these men say to you? Where did they come from?” Hezekiah said, “They came to me from the distant country of Babylon.”

4 भविष्यद्वक्ता यशायाह ने राजा से पूछा, “क्या-क्या देखा उन्होंने आपके घर का?” हिज़किय्याह ने उत्तर दिया, “जो कुछ मेरे घर में है, वे सभी कुछ देख गए हैं, मेरे खजाने में ऐसा कुछ भी नहीं है, जो उन्होंने न देखा हो.”

Isaiah asked, “What have they seen in your house?” Hezekiah answered, “They have seen everything in my house. There is nothing among my valuable things that I have not shown them.”

5 यह सुन यशायाह ने हिज़किय्याह से कहा, “याहवेह का संदेश सुनिए:

Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Listen to the word of Yahweh of hosts:

6 ‘यह देख लेना कि वे दिन आ रहे हैं, जब वह सभी कुछ, जो आपके घर में है, वह सब, जो आपके पूर्वजों द्वारा आज तक इकट्ठा किया गया है, बाबेल को ले जाया जाएगा—कुछ भी बाकी न रह जाएगा,’ यह याहवेह का संदेश है.

'Look, the days are about to come when everything in your palace, the things that your ancestors stored away until this present day, will be carried to Babylon. Nothing will be left, says Yahweh.

7 तुम्हारे ही अपने पुत्रों में से कुछ को, जो तुम्हारे अपने पुत्र होंगे उन्हें बंधुआई में ले जाया जाएगा. वे बाबेल के राजा के राजघराने में नपुंसक बना दिए जाएंगे.”

The sons born from you, whom you yourself have fathered—they will take them away, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.'”

8 तब हिज़किय्याह ने यशायाह से कहा, “याहवेह का वचन जो तुमने कहा वह भला ही है,” फिर कहा, “कम से कम मेरे जीवनकाल में तो शांति एवं सुरक्षा बनी रहेगी.”

Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “The word of Yahweh that you have spoken is good.” For he thought, “There will be peace and stability in my days.”
