यशायाह 21
1 समुद्र किनारे की मरुभूमि के विरुद्ध भविष्यवाणी: जिस प्रकार दक्षिण के भूमि में आंधी आती है, उसी प्रकार बंजर भूमि से, अर्थात् आतंक का देश से निकलकर आक्रमणकारी आ रहा है.
The burden of the wilderness of the sea. As whirlwinds in the South sweep through, it cometh from the wilderness, from a terrible land.
2 मुझे एक दर्शन मिला जो दुःख का था कि: विश्वासघाती विश्वासघात करता है और नाशक नाश करता है. हे एलाम, चढ़ाई करो! हे मेदिया, सबको घेर लो! मैं उन सबके दुःख को खत्म कर दूंगा जो उसके कारण हुए हैं.
A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam; besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have I made to cease.
3 इस कारण मेरे शरीर में दर्द है, मैं इतना घबरा गया हूं, कि मुझे सुनाई नहीं देता; मैं इतना डर गया हूं, कि मुझे दिखाई नहीं देता.
Therefore are my loins filled with anguish; pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman in travail: I am pained so that I cannot hear; I am dismayed so that I cannot see.
4 मेरा हृदय कांपता है, डर ने मुझे घेर लिया है; वह शाम जिसकी मुझे चाह थी वह डर में बदल गई है.
My heart panteth, horror hath affrighted me: the twilight that I desired hath been turned into trembling unto me.
5 भोजन की तैयारी हो गई और मेहमानों को बिठाया जा रहा है, शासकों उठो, ढालों पर तेल लगाओ!
They prepare the table, they set the watch, they eat, they drink: rise up, ye princes, anoint the shield.
6 प्रभु ने मुझसे कहा है: “जाओ, एक पहरेदार को खड़ा करो और जो कुछ वह देखे उसे बताने दो.
For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, set a watchman; let him declare what he seeth:
7 जब घोड़ों, गधों और ऊंटों पर सवारी आता देखे तब उन पर खास दे.”
and when he seeth a troop, horsemen in pairs, a troop of asses, a troop of camels, he shall hearken diligently with much heed.
8 तब वह पहरेदार सिंह के समान गुर्राते हुए कहेगा, “हे स्वामी, मैं दिन भर खड़ा पहरा देता रहता हूं; और पूरी रात जागता हूं.
And he cried as a lion: O Lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the day-time, and am set in my ward whole nights:
9 और देखो रथ में एक आदमी आता है, दो-दो घोड़ों के रथ में सवार होकर आ रहे हैं. उसने कहा: ‘गिर गया, बाबेल गिर गया! सभी मूर्तियां गिरकर चूर-चूर हो गई हैं!’”
and, behold, here cometh a troop of men, horsemen in pairs. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods are broken unto the ground.
10 हे मेरे कुचले गए पुत्र, हे मेरे खलिहान के पुत्र सर्वशक्तिमान याहवेह इस्राएल के परमेश्वर ने, मुझसे जो कुछ कहा, वह मैंने तुम्हें बता दिया.
O thou my threshing, and the corn of my floor: that which I have heard from the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you.
11 दूमाह के विरोध में भविष्यवाणी: सेईर से मुझे कोई बुला रहा है, “हे पहरेदार, रात की क्या ख़बर है?”
The burden of Dumah. One calleth unto me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?
12 पहरेदार ने कहा, “सुबह होती है, और रात भी. और जो कुछ आप पूछना चाहते हैं, पूछिए; और पूछने के लिये आईये.”
The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will inquire, inquire ye: turn ye, come.
13 अराबिया के खिलाफ़ एक भविष्यवाणी: ददान के यात्री संघो, अराबिया के बंजर भूमि में तुम रात बिताओगे,
The burden upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye travelling companies of Dedanites.
14 तेमा देश के लोगों को पानी पिलाओगे; भागे हुओं को खाना दो.
Unto him that was thirsty they brought water; the inhabitants of the land of Tema did meet the fugitives with their bread.
15 क्योंकि वे युद्ध से भागे हुए हैं, और तलवार और धनुष के सामने से भागे हुए हैं.
For they fled away from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war.
16 क्योंकि प्रभु ने मुझसे ऐसा कहा है: “मज़दूर के अनुसार एक ही वर्ष में, केदार की शान खत्म हो जाएगी.
For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of an hireling, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail:
17 केदार के तीर चलानेवालों की गिनती कम हो जाएगी.” यह याहवेह, इस्राएल के परमेश्वर, का वचन है.
and the residue of the number of the archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be few: for the LORD, the God of Israel, hath spoken it.
