होशे 7

1 जब मैं इस्राएल को चंगा करूंगा, एफ्राईम के पाप और शमरिया के अपराध प्रगट किए जाएंगे. वे धोखा देते हैं, चोर घरों में चोरी करते हैं, लुटेरे गलियों में लूटमार करते हैं;

When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief cometh in, [and] the troop of robbers spoileth without.

2 पर वे यह नहीं समझते कि मैं उनके सब बुरे कामों को याद रखता हूं. उनके पाप उन्हें पूरी तरह खा जाते हैं; उनके काम हमेशा मेरी दृष्टि में बने रहते हैं.

And they consider not in their hearts [that] I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.

3 “वे राजा को अपनी दुष्टता, और राजकुमारों को अपने झूठी बातों से खुश रखते हैं.

They make the king glad with their wickedness, and the princes with their lies.

4 वे सबके सब व्यभिचारी हैं, एक जलते हुए चूल्हे के समान जिसकी आग को रोटी बनानेवाला तब तक तेज नहीं करता जब तक वह आटा गूंधकर पकाने के लिए तैयार नहीं कर लेता.

They [are] all adulterers, as an oven heated by the baker, [who] ceaseth from raising after he hath kneaded the dough, until it be leavened.

5 हमारे राजा के त्योहार के दिन राजकुमार दाखमधु पीकर उत्तेजित होते हैं, और वह हंसी उड़ानेवालों के साथ शामिल होता है.

In the day of our king the princes have made [him] sick with bottles of wine; he stretched out his hand with scorners.

6 उनके ह्रदय एक चूल्हे के समान हैं; वे उसके पास षड़्‍यंत्र रचकर जाते हैं. उनकी लालसा रात भर सुलगती रहती है; और सुबह यह आग की ज्वाला की तरह भभक उठती है.

For they have made ready their heart like an oven, whiles they lie in wait: their baker sleepeth all the night; in the morning it burneth as a flaming fire.

7 वे सबके सब चूल्हे के समान गर्म हैं; वे अपने शासकों को भस्म कर देते हैं. उनके सब राजा मारे जाते हैं, पर उनमें से कोई भी मुझे नहीं पुकारता.

They are all hot as an oven, and have devoured their judges; all their kings are fallen: [there is] none among them that calleth unto me.

8 “एफ्राईम अन्य राष्ट्रों के लोगों के साथ घुल-मिल जाता है; एफ्राईम उस रोटी के समान है, जिसे पकाते समय पलटा नहीं गया है.

Ephraim, he hath mixed himself among the people; Ephraim is a cake not turned.

9 परदेशी उसकी शक्ति का शोषण करते हैं, पर वह इसे समझ नहीं पाता है. उसके बाल पकते जा रहे हैं, पर वह ध्यान नहीं देता है.

Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth [it] not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not.

10 इस्राएल का अहंकार उसके विरुद्ध गवाही देता है, पर इन सबके बावजूद वह याहवेह अपने परमेश्वर के पास लौटकर नहीं आता या उसकी खोज नहीं करता.

And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the LORD their God, nor seek him for all this.

11 “एफ्राईम एक पेंडुकी की तरह है, जो आसानी से धोखा खाता है और निर्बुद्धि है— उन्होंने सहायता के लिए मिस्र को पुकारा, अब अश्शूर की ओर जाते हैं.

Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart: they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria.

12 जब वे जाते हैं, तब मैं उन पर अपना जाल डालूंगा; मैं उन्हें आकाश के पक्षियों के समान नीचे गिरा दूंगा. जब मैं सुनूंगा कि वे एक साथ झुंड में इकट्ठा हो रहे हैं, तो मैं उन्हें पकड़ लूंगा.

When they shall go, I will spread my net upon them; I will bring them down as the fowls of the heaven; I will chastise them, as their congregation hath heard.

13 उन पर हाय, क्योंकि वे मुझसे अलग हो गये हैं! सर्वनाश हो उनका, क्योंकि उन्होंने मेरे विरुद्ध विद्रोह किया है! मैं उन्हें छुड़ाने की इच्छा रखता हूं पर वे मेरे बारे में झूठ बोलते हैं.

Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me.

14 वे मुझे अपने हृदय से नहीं पुकारते पर अपने बिछौने पर पड़े विलाप करते हैं. अनाज और नई दाखमधु के लिये वे अपने देवताओं से याचना करते हुए अपने आपको घायल करते हैं, पर वे मुझसे दूर रहते हैं.

And they have not cried unto me with their heart, when they howled upon their beds: they assemble themselves for corn and wine, [and] they rebel against me.

15 मैंने उन्हें प्रशिक्षित किया और उनकी सेना को सशक्त किया, पर वे मेरे ही विरुद्ध षड़्‍यंत्र रचते हैं.

Though I have bound [and] strengthened their arms, yet do they imagine mischief against me.

16 वे सर्वोच्च परमेश्वर की ओर नहीं फिर रहे हैं; वे त्रुटिपूर्ण धनुष के समान हैं. उनके अगुएं घमंड से भरी बातों के कारण तलवार से मारे जाएंगे. इसी कारण से उन्हें मिस्र देश में ठट्ठों में उड़ाया जाएगा.

They return, [but] not to the most High: they are like a deceitful bow: their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this [shall be] their derision in the land of Egypt.
