होशे 5

1 “हे पुरोहितो, यह बात सुनो! हे इस्राएलियो, ध्यान दो! राज घरानो, सुनो! यह न्याय तुम्हारे विरुद्ध है: तुम मिज़पाह में एक फंदा बन गये हो, ताबोर में बिछाये गये एक जाल हो.

Hear this, priests! Attend, Israelites! Listen, royal family! For you is the judgment: a snare you have become at Mizpeh, and a net spread out on Tabor,

2 विद्रोहियों ने घोर नरसंहार किया है, मैं उन सबको अनुशासित करूंगा.

the rebels are deep in slaughter, but I will discipline all.

3 मैं एफ्राईम के बारे में सब कुछ जानता हूं; इस्राएल की बात मुझसे छिपी नहीं है. हे एफ्राईम, तुम वेश्यावृत्ति में लिप्‍त हो; इस्राएल भ्रष्‍ट हो गया है.

I know Ephraim, Israel is not hidden from me, for you, Ephraim, have committed prostitution and Israel is defiled.

4 “उनके काम उन्हें अपने परमेश्वर की ओर लौटने नहीं देते. वेश्यावृत्ति की आत्मा उनके दिल में है; वे याहवेह को नहीं मानते हैं.

Their deeds do not permit them to return to their God. For the spirit of prostitution is within them, they do not know the Lord.

5 इस्राएल का घमंड उसी के विरुद्ध गवाही देता है; इस्राएली, और तो और एफ्राईम भी अपने पापों में लड़खड़ाते हैं; यहूदिया भी उनके साथ लड़खड़ाता है.

Israel’s arrogance testifies against them, Israel, even Ephraim, stumble in their sin, and Judah also stumbles with them.

6 जब वे अपनी भेड़-बकरी और गाय-बैल के झुंड को लेकर याहवेह की खोज में जाते हैं, तो याहवेह उन्हें नहीं मिलते हैं; क्योंकि उन्होंने अपने आपको उनसे अलग कर लिया है.

With their sheep and their cattle they will go to seek the Lord but they will not find him, he has withdrawn from them,

7 उन्होंने याहवेह के साथ विश्वासघात किया है; वे अवैध बच्‍चे पैदा करते हैं. जब वे नये चांद के भोज का उत्सव मनाएंगे, तो वह उनके खेतों को निगल जाएगा.

for they have been untrue to the Lord, their children are strangers. Their new moon festivals will soon destroy them and their fields.

8 “गिबियाह नगर में तुरही बजाओ, रामाह नगर में नरसिंगा फूंको. बेथ-आवेन में युद्ध की घोषणा ऊंची आवाज में करो; हे बिन्यामिन, हमारी अगुवाई करो.

Blow the trumpet in Gibeah, the clarion in Ramah! Raise the alarm in Beth-aven: we are with you, Benjamin!

9 हिसाब करने के दिन एफ्राईम बेकार हो जाएगा. इस्राएल के गोत्रों के बीच मैं उसी बात की घोषणा करूंगा, जिसका होना निश्चित है.

Ephraim will become a desolation in the day of punishment, concerning the tribes of Israel I make known what is certain.

10 यहूदिया के अगुए उनके जैसे हैं जो सीमा के पत्थरों को हटाते हैं. उन पर मैं अपना कोप पानी के बाढ़ की तरह उंडेलूंगा.

The princes of Israel have become like thieves who move boundary stones. On them I will pour out my wrath like a flood.

11 एफ्राईम सताया जाता है, न्याय में कुचला गया है, क्योंकि उसने मूर्तियों के पीछे जाने की ठानी है.

Ephraim will be oppressed, crushed by judgment, for they are determined to go after vanity.

12 मैं एफ्राईम के लिए कीड़े के समान, और यहूदाह के लोगों के लिए एक सड़न के जैसा हूं.

So I am like a moth to Ephraim, like rottenness to the house of Judah.

13 “जब एफ्राईम ने अपनी बीमारी, और यहूदिया ने अपने घाव को देखा, तब एफ्राईम अश्शूर की तरफ गया, और बड़े राजा से सहायता की याचना की. परंतु वह तुम्हें न तो चंगा कर सकता है, और न ही तुम्हारे घावों को ठीक कर सकता है.

For when Ephraim saw their sickness and Israel their wound, Ephraim turned to Assyria, to its patron king. But he cannot heal you nor relieve you of your wound.

14 क्योंकि एफ्राईम के लिए मैं एक सिंह के जैसा, और यहूदाह के लिए एक बड़े सिंह के जैसा हो जाऊंगा. मैं उन्हें फाड़कर टुकड़े-टुकड़े कर दूंगा और चला जाऊंगा; मैं उन्हें उठाकर ले जाऊंगा, और उन्हें छुड़ाने वाला कोई न होगा.

For I myself will be like a lion to Ephraim, like a young lion to the house of Judah. I, yes I, will rend and go my way, I will carry off and none will rescue.

15 जब तक वे अपने अपराध को मान नहीं लेते और मेरी ओर लौट नहीं आते मैं अपने स्थान में नहीं लौटूंगा; अपनी दुर्गति के समय वे मन लगाकर मेरी खोज करेंगे.”
