होशे 14

1 हे इस्राएल, याहवेह अपने परमेश्वर के पास लौट आओ. तुम्हारा पाप ही तुम्हारे पतन का कारण है!

O Israel, come back to the Lord your God; for your evil-doing has been the cause of your fall.

2 याहवेह की बातों को मानो और उसके पास लौट आओ. उससे कहो: “हमारे सब पापों को क्षमा करें, और अनुग्रहपूर्वक हमें ग्रहण करें, कि हम अपने मुंह से धन्यवाद रूपी बलि चढ़ा सकें.

Take with you words, and come back to the Lord; say to him, Let there be forgiveness for all wrongdoing, so that we may take what is good, and give in payment the fruit of our lips.

3 अश्शूर हमारा उद्धार नहीं कर सकता; हम युद्ध के घोड़ों पर नहीं चढ़ेंगे. हम अपने हाथों से बनाये चीज़ों को फिर कभी न कहेंगे ‘हमारे ईश्वर,’ क्योंकि अनाथ को आपसे ही करुणा मिलती है.”

Assyria will not be our salvation; we will not go on horses; we will not again say to the work of our hands, You are our gods; for in you there is mercy for the child who has no father.

4 “मैं उनकी बेवफ़ाई को दूर करूंगा, और स्वछंद रूप से उन्हें प्रेम करूंगा, क्योंकि मेरा क्रोध उनके ऊपर से हट गया है.

I will put right their errors; freely will my love be given to them, for my wrath is turned away from him.

5 मैं इस्राएल के लिये ओस के समान होऊंगा; वह कुमुदिनी के फूल के समान खिलेगा. लबानोन के देवदार वृक्ष के समान उसकी जड़ें नीचे दूर-दूर तक फैलेंगी;

I will be as the dew to Israel; he will put out flowers like a lily, and send out his roots like Lebanon.

6 उसके कोमल अंकुर बढ़ेंगे. उसका वैभव एक जैतून के पेड़ जैसा होगा, और उसकी सुगंध लबानोन के देवदार के समान होगी.

His branches will be stretched out, he will be beautiful as the olive-tree and sweet-smelling as Lebanon.

7 लोग फिर से उसकी छाया में निवास करेंगे; वे अन्‍न की तरह उन्‍नति करेंगे, वे अंगूर की लता की तरह बढ़ेंगे, इस्राएल की प्रसिद्धि लबानोन के दाखमधु की तरह होगी.

They will come back and have rest in his shade; their life will be made new like the grain, and they will put out flowers like the vine; his name will be like the wine of Lebanon.

8 हे एफ्राईम, मूर्तियों से अब मेरा और क्या काम? मैं उसे उत्तर दूंगा और उसका ध्यान रखूंगा. मैं बढ़ते हुए सनोवर पेड़ के समान हूं; तुम्हारा फलवंत होना मेरे कारण होता है.”

As for Ephraim, what has he to do with false gods any longer? I have given an answer and I will keep watch over him; I am like a branching fir-tree, from me comes your fruit.

9 बुद्धिमान कौन है? उन्हें इन बातों का अनुभव करने दो. समझदार कौन है? उन्हें समझने दो. याहवेह के रास्ते सही हैं; धर्मी उन पर चलते हैं, परंतु विद्रोही उन पर ठोकर खाकर गिरते हैं.

He who is wise will see these things; he who has good sense will have knowledge of them. For the ways of the Lord are straight, and the upright will go in them, but sinners will be falling in them.
