होशे 1

1 याहवेह का वह संदेश, जो बएरी के पुत्र होशिया के पास यहूदिया के राजा उज्जियाह, योथाम, आहाज़ और हिज़किय्याह के शासनकाल में, और इस्राएल के राजा यहोआश के पुत्र यरोबोअम के शासनकाल में आया:

THE WORD of the LORD that came unto Hosea the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.

2 अपनी बात को शुरू करते हुए याहवेह ने होशिया से यह कहा, “जाओ, और किसी वेश्या से शादी कर लो और उससे बच्‍चे पैदा करो, क्योंकि एक व्यभिचारी पत्नी की तरह यह देश याहवेह से विश्वासघात करने का अपराधी है.”

When the LORD spoke at first with Hosea, the LORD said unto Hosea: 'Go, take unto thee a wife of harlotry and children of harlotry; for the land doth commit great harlotry, departing from the LORD.'

3 अतः होशेआ ने दिबलायिम की बेटी गोमर से शादी की, और वह गर्भवती हुई और उसने एक पुत्र को जन्म दिया.

So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; and she conceived, and bore him a son.

4 तब याहवेह ने होशेआ से कहा, “उसका नाम येज़्रील रखो, क्योंकि शीघ्र ही येज़्रील में किए नरसंहार के लिये, मैं येहू के घराने को दंड दूंगा, और मैं इस्राएल के राज्य का अंत कर दूंगा.

And the LORD said unto him: 'Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will visit the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel.

5 उस दिन मैं येज़्रील के घाटी में इस्राएल की सैन्य-शक्ति का अंत कर दूंगा.”

And it shall come to pass at that day, that I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.'

6 गोमेर फिर गर्भवती हुई और उसने एक बेटी को जन्म दिया. तब याहवेह ने होशेआ को कहा, “तुम उसका नाम लो-रुहामाह रखो, क्योंकि अब मैं इस्राएल के प्रति कोई प्रेम नहीं दिखाऊंगा, और उन्हें किसी प्रकार से क्षमा नहीं करूंगा.

And she conceived again, and bore a daughter. And He said unto him: 'Call her name Lo-ruhamah; for I will no more have compassion upon the house of Israel, that I should in any wise pardon them.

7 किंतु मैं यहूदिया पर अपना प्रेम दिखाऊंगा; और उन्हें बचाऊंगा—यह बचाव न तो धनुष, तलवार या युद्ध के द्वारा, या घोड़ों और घुड़सवारों के द्वारा होगा, पर मैं, याहवेह उनका परमेश्वर उनको बचाऊंगा.”

But I will have compassion upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, nor by horses, nor by horsemen.'

8 गोमेर ने लो-रुहामाह का दूध छुड़ाने के बाद एक और बेटे को जन्म दिया.

Now when she had weaned Lo-ruhamah, she conceived, and bore a son.

9 तब याहवेह ने कहा, “उसका नाम लो-अम्मी रखो, क्योंकि तुम मेरे लोग नहीं हो, और मैं तुम्हारा परमेश्वर नहीं हूं.

And He said: 'Call his name Lo-ammi; for ye are not My people, and I will not be yours.'

10 “फिर भी इस्राएलियों की संख्या समुद्रतट के बालू के जैसे होगी, जिन्हें न तो नापा जा सकता है और न ही गिना जा सकता है. जिस स्थान पर उनसे यह कहा गया था, ‘तुम मेरी प्रजा नहीं हो,’ उसी स्थान पर वे ‘जीवित परमेश्वर की संतान’ घोषित किए जाएंगे.

Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass that, instead of that which was said unto them: 'Ye are not My people', it shall be said unto them: 'Ye are the children of the living God.'

11 यहूदिया के लोग और इस्राएल के लोग एक साथ इकट्ठा होंगे; वे मिलकर अपने लिए एक नेता ठहराएंगे और वे देश से निकल आएंगे, क्योंकि येज़्रील का वह दिन एक महान दिन होगा.

And the children of Judah and the children of Israel shall be gathered together, and they shall appoint themselves one head, and shall go up out of the land; for great shall be the day of Jezreel.
