हबक्कूक 3

1 हबक्कूक भविष्यद्वक्ता की एक प्रार्थना. शिगयोनोथ की शैली में.

A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet upon Shigionoth.

2 हे याहवेह, मैंने आपके प्रसिद्धि के बारे सुना है; हे याहवेह, मैं आपके कामों को देखकर भय खाता हूं. हमारे दिनों में उन कामों को फिर से करिये, हमारे समय में उन कामों को हमें बताईये; अपने कोप में भी हम पर अपनी कृपादृष्टि बनाए रखिए.

O LORD, I have heard thy speech, [and] was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.

3 परमेश्वर तेमान से आये, परम पवित्र का आगमन पारान पर्वत से हुआ. उसकी महिमा से आकाश ढंक गया और उसकी स्तुति से पृथ्वी भर गई.

God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. (Selah) His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.

4 उनकी शोभा सूर्योदय के समान थी; उनके हाथ से किरणें निकलती थी, जहां उनका सामर्थ्य छिपा हुआ था.

And [his] brightness was as the light; he had horns [coming] out of his hand; and there [was] the hiding of his power.

5 उनके आगे-आगे महामारी चलती थी; तथा पीछे-पीछे घातक रोग.

Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at his feet.

6 खड़े होकर उन्होंने पृथ्वी को हिला दिया; उन्होंने देखा, और जाति-जाति के लोग कांप उठे. पुराने पर्वत टुकड़े-टुकड़े होकर गिर गये और पुरानी पहाड़ियां ढह गईं, पर वे हमेशा से ही आगे बढ़ते रहते हैं.

He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways [are] everlasting.

7 मैंने कूशान के तंबुओं में रहनेवालों को कष्ट में, और मिदियान के रहनेवालों को बहुत पीड़ा में देखा.

I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction: [and] the curtains of the land of Midian trembled.

8 हे याहवेह, क्या आप नदियों पर क्रोधित हुए थे? क्या आपका कोप पानी के सोतों पर था? क्या आप समुद्र पर क्रोधित हुए जब आपने जय पाने के लिये अपने घोड़ों और अपने रथों पर सवारी की?

Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? [was] thy anger against the rivers? [was] thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thy horses, [and] thy chariots of salvation?

9 आपने अपने धनुष को खोल से निकाला, आपने बहुत सारे तीरों को मंगाया. आपने नदियों के द्वारा पृथ्वी को बांट दिया;

Thy bow was made quite naked, [according] to the oaths of the tribes, [even thy] word. (Selah) Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers.

10 पर्वत आपको देखकर थर्रा उठे. पानी का तेज प्रवाह होने लगा; गहरे समुद्र गरज उठे और उसमें से ऊंची-ऊंची लहरें उठने लगी.

The mountains saw thee, [and] they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, [and] lifted up his hands on high.

11 आपके उड़ते हुए तीरों के चमक से, आपके चमकते भाले के तेज से सूर्य और चंद्रमां आकाश में स्थिर हो गए.

The sun [and] moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thy arrows they went, [and] at the shining of thy glittering spear.

12 क्रोध में आप धरती पर पैर पटकते हुए निकल गए और गुस्से में आपने जाति-जाति के लोगों को रौंद दिया.

Thou didst march through the land in indignation, thou didst thresh the heathen in anger.

13 आप अपने लोगों के छुटकारे, और अपने अभिषिक्त जन को बचाने के लिये बाहर निकले. आपने दुष्ट राष्ट्र के अगुआ को कुचल दिया, और उसको सिर से लेकर पांव तक नंगा कर दिया.

Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, [even] for salvation with thy anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by uncovering the foundation to the neck. (Selah)

14 आपने उसी के भाले से उसके सिर को छेदा है, जब उसके योद्धा हमें तितर-बितर करने के लिये हम पर टूट पड़े, वे ऐसे घूर रहे थे मानो छिपे हुए दुष्ट लोगों को नष्ट करनेवाले हों.

Thou didst strike through with his staffs the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing [was] as to devour the poor secretly.

15 आपने पानी के बड़े भंडार को मथते हुए समुद्र को अपने घोड़ों से रौंदा.

Thou didst walk through the sea with thy horses, [through] the mire of great waters.

16 मैंने सुना और मेरे दिल के टुकड़े-टुकड़े हो गये, उस आवाज को सुनकर मेरे ओंठ कांपने लगे; मेरी हड्डियां सड़ने लगीं, और मेरे पैर कांपने लगे. फिर भी मैं धीरज के साथ उस जाति के लोगों पर विपत्ति के दिन के आने का इंतजार करूंगा जो हम पर आक्रमण कर रहे हैं.

When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he cometh up to the people, he will invade them with his troops.

17 चाहे अंजीर के पेड़ में कलियां न खिलें और दाखलता में अंगूर न फलें, चाहे जैतून के पेड़ में फल न आएं और खेतों में कोई अन्‍न न उपजे, चाहे भेड़शाला में कोई भेड़ न हो और गौशाला में कोई पशु न हो,

Although the fig-tree shall not blossom, neither [shall] fruit [be] in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no food; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and [there shall be] no herd in the stalls:

18 फिर भी मैं याहवेह में आनंद मनाऊंगा, मैं अपने उद्धारकर्ता परमेश्वर में आनंदित रहूंगा.

Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

19 परम याहवेह मेरे बल के स्रोत हैं; वे मेरे पांवों को हिरण के पांवों के समान चपलता देते हैं, वे मुझे ऊंचाइयों पर चलने के योग्य बनाते हैं.

The Lord GOD [is] my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' [feet], and he will make me to walk upon my high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.
