1 एसाव (अर्थात् एदोम) के वंशज इस प्रकार है:

2 एसाव ने कनान देश की ही कन्याओं से विवाह कर लिया. हित्ती एलोन की पुत्री अदाह, अनाह की पुत्री तथा हिव्वी ज़िबेओन की पौत्री ओहोलिबामाह थे.
Esau took wyues of the douytris of Canaan, Ada, the douytir of Elom Ethey, and Oolibama, the douyter of Ana, sone of Sebeon Euey; also Bathsemath,
3 इसके अलावा उन्होंने इशमाएल की पुत्री नेबाइयोथ की बहन बसेमाथ से भी विवाह किया था.
the douytir of Ismael, the sistir of Nabioth.
4 एसाव से अदाह ने एलिफाज़ को जन्म दिया तथा बसेमाथ ने रियुएल को जन्म दिया,
Forsothe Ada childide Elifath; Batsemath childide Rahuel; Oolibama childide Hieus,
5 ओहोलिबामाह ने योउश, यालम तथा कोराह को जन्म दिया. कनान देश में ही एसाव के ये पुत्र पैदा हुए.
and Hielon, and Chore. These weren the sones of Esau, that weren borun to hym in the lond of Canaan.
6 इसके बाद एसाव अपनी पत्नियों, पुत्र-पुत्रियों, अपने संपूर्ण घर-परिवार, अपने पशु, तथा अपनी समस्त संपत्ति को लेकर, जो उसने कनान देश में पाई थी, अपने भाई याकोब से दूर देश में जाकर रहा.
Sotheli Esau took hise wyues, and sones, and douytris, and ech soule of his hows, and catel, and scheep, and alle thingis whiche he `myyte haue in the lond of Canaan, and yede into anothir cuntrey, and departide fro his brother Jacob; for thei weren ful riche,
7 उन दोनों की संपत्ति इतनी अधिक थी कि दोनों का एक साथ रहना मुश्किल था; वह भूमि दोनों परिवारों के पोषण के लिए काफ़ी नहीं थी. उनके पास अत्यधिक पशु थे.
and thei miyten not dwelle to gidere, and the erthe of her pilgrymage susteynede not hem, for the multitude of flockis.
8 इसलिये एसाव (अर्थात् एदोम) सेईर के पर्वतीय क्षेत्र में रहने लगे.
And Esau dwellide in the hil of Seir; he is Edom.
9 सेईर के पर्वतीय क्षेत्र में बसे हुए एदोमियों के वंश एसाव की पीढ़ियां इस प्रकार हैं.
Forsothe these weren the generaciouns of Esau, fader of Edom,
10 एसाव के पुत्र थे: एसाव की पत्नी अदाह से जन्मे एलिफाज़, एसाव दूसरी की पत्नी बसेमाथ का पुत्र रियुएल.
in the hil of Seir, and these weren the names of hise sones. Elifath, sone of Ada, `wijf of Esau; also Rahuel sone of Bathsemath, `wijf of hym.
11 एलिफाज़ के पुत्र: तेमान, ओमर, ज़ेफो, गाताम तथा केनाज़ थे.
And the sones of Elifath weren, Theman, Emath, Sephu, and Gathan, and Ceneth, and Chore.
12 एसाव के पुत्र एलिफाज़ की दासी का नाम तिम्ना था, जिसने एलिफाज़ से अमालेक को जन्म दिया. ये एसाव की पत्नी अदाह की संतान हैं.
Forsothe Tanna was the secundarie wijf of Elifath, `sone of Esau, whiche Tanna childide to hym Amalech. These weren the sones of Ada, `wijf of Esau.
13 रियुएल के पुत्र थे: नाहाथ, ज़ेराह, शम्माह तथा मिज्जाह. ये एसाव की पत्नी बसेमाथ द्वारा पैदा हुए थे.
Forsothe the sones of Rahuel weren, Naath, and Zara, and Semna, and Meza. These weren the sones of Bathsemath, `wijf of Esau.
14 अनाह की पुत्री, ज़िबेओन की पौत्री, एसाव की पत्नी ओहोलिबामाह के पुत्र योउश, यालम तथा कोराह थे.
And these weren the sones of Oolibama, douyter of Ana, sone of Sebeon, `wijf of Esau, whiche sche childide to hym; Hieus, and Hielon, and Chore.
15 एसाव के पुत्रों में प्रमुख ये थे: एसाव के बड़े बेटे एलिफाज़ के पुत्र: तेमान, ओमर, ज़ेफो, केनाज़,
These weren the dukis of the sones of Esau; the sones of Elifath first gendrid of Esau, duk Theman, duyk Omar,
16 कोराह, गाताम, अमालेक. एदोम देश में एलिफाज़ के ये पुत्र थे; ये सभी अदाह वंश के थे.
duk Sephua, duyk Ceneth, duyk Chore, duyk Dathan, duyk Amalech. These weren the sones of Eliphat, in the lond of Edom, and these weren the sones of Ada.
17 एसाव के पुत्र रियुएल के पुत्र: नाहाथ, ज़ेराह, शम्माह, मिज्जाह. ये वे प्रधान हैं, जो एदोम देश में रियुएल द्वारा जन्मे थे—ये वे हैं, जो एसाव की पत्नी बसेमाथ से पैदा हुए थे.
Also these weren the sones of Rahuel, `sone of Esau, duyk Naath, duyk Zara, duyk Senna, duyk Meza; forsothe these duykis weren of Rahuel in the lond of Edom. These weren the sones of Bathsamath, `wijf of Esau.
18 एसाव की पत्नी ओहोलिबामाह से पुत्र हैं: योउश, यालम, कोराह. ये एसाव की पत्नी अनाह की पुत्री ओहोलिबामाह के द्वारा जन्मे हैं.
Forsothe these weren the sones of Oolibama, `wijf of Esau; duyk Hieus, duyk Hielon, duyk Chore; these weren duykis of Oolibama, douytir of Ana, `wijf of Esau.
19 ये एसाव (अर्थात् एदोम) के पुत्र तथा उनके प्रधान हैं.
These weren the sones of Esau, and thei weren duykis of hem; he is Edom.
20 ये उस देश के होरी सेईर के पुत्र हैं: लोतन, शोबल, ज़िबेओन, अनाह,
These weren the sones of Seir Horrei, enhabiteris of the lond; Jothan, and Sobal, and Sebeon,
21 दिशोन, एज़र तथा दिशान. ये सभी एदोम देश के वे प्रधान हैं. जो होरियों के वंश के सेईर के पुत्र हैं.
and Anam, and Dison, and Eser, and Disan; these duikis weren of Horrey, sone of Seir, in the lond of Edom.
22 लोतन के पुत्र: होरी तथा होमाम, तथा तिम्ना लोतन की बहन थी.
Forsothe the sones of Jothan weren maad, Horrey, and Theman; sotheli the sistir of Jothan was Tanna.
23 शोबल के पुत्र थे: अलवान, मानाहाथ, एबल, शेफो तथा ओनम.
And these weren the sones of Sobal; Aluan, and Maneeth, and Ebal, Sephi, and Onam.
24 ज़िबेओन के पुत्र ये है: अइयाह तथा अनाह (यह वही अनाह है, जिसने निर्जन देश में, अपने पिता ज़िबेओन के गधों को चराते हुए गर्म पानी के झरने की खोज की थी.)
And these weren the sones of Sebeon; Achaia, and Ana; this is Ana that foonde hoote watris in wildirnesse, whanne he kepte the assis of Sebeon, his fadir;
25 अनाह की संतान हैं: दिशोन तथा ओहोलिबामाह, जो अनाह की पुत्री थी.
and he hadde a sone Disan, and a douytir Oolibama.
26 दिशोन के पुत्र: हेमदान, एशबान, इथरान तथा चेरन.
And these weren the sones of Disan; Amadan, and Jesban, and Jethran, and Charan.
27 एज़र के पुत्र: बिलहान, त्सावन और आकन.
Also these weren the sones of Heser; Baalan, and Zeuan, and Acham.
28 दिशान के पुत्र: उज़ और अरान.
And Disan hadde sones, Hus, and Haran.
29 वे प्रधान, जो होरियों वंश के, ये है: लोतन, शोबल, ज़िबेओन, अनाह,
These weren the duykis of Horreis; duyk Jothan, duyk Sobal, duyk Sebeon, duyk Ana, duyk Dison, duyk Heser, duik Disan;
30 दिशोन, एज़र तथा दिशान. सेईर देश में होरी जाति के लोग प्रधान बने.
these weren the duykis of Horreis, that weren lordis in the lond of Seir.
31 इसके पहले कि इस्राएल पर किसी राजा का शासन होता, एदोम देश पर राज्य करनेवाले राजा ये थे:

32 बेओर का पुत्र बेला एदोम का राजा बना, तथा उसके द्वारा शासित नगर का नाम था दिनहाबाह.
Balach, the sone of Beor, and the name of his citee was Deneba.
33 बेला के मरने के बाद, उसके स्थान पर बोज़राहवासी ज़ेराह का पुत्र योबाब राजा बना.
Forsothe Balach diede, and Jobab, sone of Sara of Bosra, regnede for hym.
34 योबाब के मरने के बाद, उसके स्थान पर तेमानियों के देश का व्यक्ति हुशम राजा बना.
And whanne Jobab was deed, Husam of the lond of Themayns regnede for hym.
35 हुशम के मरने के बाद, उसके स्थान पर बेदद का पुत्र हदद राजा बना. उसने मोआब देश में मिदियानी सेना को हरा दिया. उसके द्वारा शासित नगर का नाम था आविथ.
And whanne he was deed, Adad, the sone of Badadi, that smoot Madian in the lond of Moab, and the name of his citee was Abyuth, `regnede for him.
36 हदद के मरने के बाद, उसके स्थान पर मसरेकाह का सामलाह राजा बना.
And whanne Adad was deed, Semla of Maseracha regnede for hym.
37 सामलाह के मरने के बाद, फरात नदी पर बसे रेहोबोथ का निवासी शाऊल उनके स्थान पर राजा बना.
And whanne he was deed, Saul of the flood Robooth ragnede for hym.
38 शाऊल के मरने के बाद, उसके स्थान पर अखबोर का पुत्र बाल-हनन राजा बना.
And whanne he was deed, Balanam, the sone of Achobor, was successour in to the rewme.
39 अखबोर के पुत्र बाल-हनन के मरने के बाद, उसके स्थान पर हदद राजा बना. उस नगर का नाम पाऊ था तथा उसकी पत्नी का नाम मेहेताबेल था. वह मातरेद की पुत्री, और मातरेद मेत्साहब की पुत्री थी.
And whanne this was deed, Adad regnede for hym, and the name of the citee of Adad was Phau, and the name of his wijf was clepid Meezabel, the douyter of Mathrect, douyter of Mesaab.
40 एसाव के वंश में जो प्रधान थे उनके नाम: तिम्ना, अलवाह, यथेथ,
Therfor these weren the names of duykis of Esau, in her kynredis, and places, and names; duyk Thanna, duyk Alua,
41 ओहोलिबामाह, एलाह, पिनोन,
duyk Jetech, duyk Oolibama, duyk Ela,
42 केनाज़, तेमान, मिबज़ार,
duyk Phinon, duyk Ceneth, duik Theman,
43 मगदिएल, इराम. ये सभी एदोम देश के प्रधान हुए. एक प्रदेश में जो रहा, उस प्रदेश का नाम भी वही था जो उनका पारिवारिक नाम था. यह एसाव, जो एदोमियों का गोत्रपिता था, उसका परिवार है.
duyk Mabsar, duyk Madiel, duyk Iram; these weren the duykis of Edom, dwelleris in the lond of hys lordschip; he was Esau, the fadir of Ydumeis.
