एज्रा 3
1 इस समय सारा इस्राएल अपने-अपने ठहराए गए नगर में बस चुका था. सातवें महीने वे सभी येरूशलेम इकट्ठे हो गए.
And the seventh month comes, and the sons of Israel [are] in the cities, and the people are gathered, as one man, to Jerusalem.
2 तब योज़ादक के पुत्र येशुआ तथा उसके भाइयों ने, जो पुरोहित थे, शिअलतिएल के पुत्र ज़ेरुब्बाबेल तथा उसके भाइयों ने मिलकर इस्राएल के परमेश्वर के लिए उस वेदी को बनाया, जिस पर होमबलि चढ़ाई जानी थी, जैसा की परमेश्वर के जन मोशेह की व्यवस्था में लिखा है.
And Jeshua son of Jozadak rises, and his brothers the priests, and Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and his brothers, and they build the altar of the God of Israel, to cause to ascend on it burnt-offerings, as it is written in the Law of Moses, the man of God.
3 उन्होंने उसी की नींव पर इस वेदी को बनाया, क्योंकि उन्हें पास वाले देशों के लोगों का बहुत डर था. उन्होंने इस वेदी पर याहवेह को होमबलि चढ़ाई-सुबह को होमबलि और शाम को होमबलि.
And they establish the altar on its bases, because of the fear on them of the peoples of the lands, and he causes burnt-offerings to ascend on it to YHWH, burnt-offerings for the morning and for the evening.
4 उन्होंने झोंपड़ियों का उत्सव लिखी हुई विधि के अनुसार मनाया तथा हर रोज़ उन्होंने ठहराई गई संख्या में होमबलियां चढ़ाईं, जैसा की हर रोज़ के लिए इस संबंध में नियम था.
And they make the Celebration of the Shelters as it is written, and the burnt-offering of the day daily in number according to the ordinance, the matter of a day in its day;
5 इसके बाद, होमबलि नित्य चढ़ाए जाने लगे; उसी प्रकार नए चांद के उत्सवों में तथा याहवेह के लिए ठहराए गए पवित्र उत्सवों में तथा हर एक के लिए याहवेह को स्वेच्छा बलि चढ़ाने में भी. नए चांद के उत्सवों में, याहवेह के लिए ठहराए गए उत्सवों में, जो पवित्र किए गए थे, तथा हर एक के लिए, जो याहवेह को स्वेच्छा बलि चढ़ाना चाहता था, नित्यत आ गए.
and after this a continual burnt-offering, and for new moons, and for all appointed times of YHWH that are sanctified; and for everyone who is willingly offering a willing-offering to YHWH.
6 सातवें महीने के पहले दिन से ही उन्होंने याहवेह के लिए होमबलि चढ़ाना शुरू कर दिया था, किंतु याहवेह के भवन की नींव नहीं रखी गई थी.
From the first day of the seventh month they have begun to cause burnt-offerings to ascend to YHWH, and the temple of YHWH has not been founded,
7 इसलिये उन्होंने राजमिस्त्रियों एवं कारीगरों को सिक्के, सीदोनियों एवं सोरियों को खाने-पीने की वस्तुएं और तेल दिया, कि वे फारस के राजा कोरेश की अनुमति के अनुसार लबानोन के समुद्रतट पर स्थित योप्पा तक लकड़ी पहुंचा दें.
and they give money to hewers and to craftsmen, and food, and drink, and oil to Zidonians and to Tyrians, to bring in cedar-trees from Lebanon to the Sea of Joppa, according to the permission of Cyrus king of Persia concerning them.
8 उनके येरूशलेम में परमेश्वर के भवन को पहुंचने के दूसरे वर्ष के दूसरे महीने में शिअलतिएल के पुत्र ज़ेरुब्बाबेल तथा योज़ादक के पुत्र येशुआ ने तथा उनके सारे पुरोहित भाइयों तथा लेवियों ने तथा उन सभी ने, जो बंधुआई से येरूशलेम आ चुके थे, काम शुरू कर दिया. उन्होंने याहवेह के भवन को दोबारा बनाने के काम के लिए ऐसे लेवियों को चुना, जिनकी आयु बीस वर्ष से अधिक थी.
And in the second year of their coming to the house of God, to Jerusalem, in the second month, began Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua son of Jozadak, and the remnant of their brothers the priests and the Levites, and all those coming from the captivity to Jerusalem, and they appoint the Levites from a son of twenty years and upward, to overlook the work of the house of YHWH.
9 इसके बाद येशुआ ने अपने पुत्रों तथा रिश्तेदारों के साथ मिलकर कदमिएल तथा उसके पुत्र के साथ, यहूदाह के पुत्रों के साथ तथा हेनादाद, उसके पुत्रों तथा रिश्तेदारों के साथ मिलकर, जो लेवी थे, परमेश्वर के भवन के कारीगरों की निगरानी की जवाबदारी ले ली.
And Jeshua stands, [and] his sons, and his brothers, Kadmiel and his sons, sons of Judah together, to overlook those doing the work in the house of God; the sons of Henadad, [and] their sons and their brothers the Levites.
10 जब राजमिस्त्रियों ने याहवेह के भवन की नींव डाल दी, तब पुरोहित अपने कपड़ों में शोफ़ार नरसिंगे लेकर खड़े हो गए, लेवी तथा आसफ के पुत्र झांझें लेकर इस्राएल के राजा दावीद द्वारा बताई गई विधि के अनुसार याहवेह की स्तुति करने के लिए तैयार हो गए.
And those building have founded the temple of YHWH, and they appoint the priests, clothed, with trumpets, and the Levites, sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise YHWH, by means of [the instruments of] David king of Israel.
11 जब याहवेह के भवन की नींव रखी गई तब उनकी स्तुति का विषय था, “याहवेह भले हैं; तथा इस्राएल पर उनका अपार प्रेम सदाकाल का है.” उन्होंने अपने गीतों में स्तुति और आभार प्रकट किए. उपस्थित सारे समुदाय ने उनके गीतों पर बहुत ही ऊंचे शब्द में याहवेह का जय जयकार किया.
And they respond in praising and in giving thanks to YHWH, “For [He is] good, for His kindness [is] for all time over Israel!” And all the people have shouted [with] a great shout in giving praise to YHWH, because the house of YHWH has been founded.
12 जबकि वे बूढ़े व्यक्ति, जिन्होंने पहले के भवन को देखा था, अनेक पुरोहित, लेवी एवं मुख्य प्रधान, इस भवन की नींव के रखे जाने पर उसे देखकर ऊंची आवाज में रो रहे थे जबकि कुछ खुशी से जय जयकार कर रहे थे.
And many of the priests, and the Levites, and the heads of the fathers, the aged men who had seen the first house—in this house being founded before their eyes—are weeping with a loud voice, and many with a shout, in joy, lifting up the voice;
13 परिणामस्वरूप रोने की आवाज और खुशी की आवाज में अंतर पहचानना असंभव हो गया; क्योंकि लोग बहुत ही ऊंची आवाज में जय जयकार कर रहे थे. यह आवाज दूर तक सुनाई दे रही थी.
and the people are not discerning the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people, for the people are shouting [with] a great shout, and the noise has been heard to a distance.
