यहेजकेल 9
1 तब मैंने उसे ऊंची आवाज में यह कहते हुए सुना, “उनको मेरे पास लाओ, जिनको शहर के लोगों का न्याय करने के लिये ठहराया गया है, और उनमें से हर एक के हाथ में हथियार हो.”
And he criede in myn eeris with greet vois, and seide, The visityngis of the citee han neiyed, and ech man hath in his hond an instrument of sleyng.
2 और मैंने देखा कि उत्तर की तरफ खुलनेवाले ऊपरी द्वार की दिशा से छः पुरुष चले आ रहे हैं, और उनमें से हर एक के हाथ में एक-एक घातक हथियार है. उनमें से एक व्यक्ति मलमल का कपड़ा पहने हुए था, जिसके बगल में लेखन सामग्री का एक झोला था. वे भीतर आए और कांस्य-वेदी के बाजू में खड़े हो गए.
And lo! sixe men camen fro the weie of the hiyere yate, that biholdith to the north, and the instrument of deth of ech man was in his hond; also o man in the myddis of hem was clothid with lynnun clothis, and a pennere of a writere at hise reynes; and thei entriden, and stoden bisidis the brasun auter.
3 तब करूबों के ऊपर रहनेवाला इस्राएल के परमेश्वर का तेज, वहां से ऊपर उठा और मंदिर के डेवढ़ी में आ गया. तब याहवेह ने मलमल कपड़ा पहने उस व्यक्ति को पुकारा, जिसके बगल में लेखन सामग्री का झोला था.
And the glorie of the Lord of Israel was takun vp fro cherub, which glorie was on it, to the threisfold of the hous; and the Lord clepide the man that was clothid with lynun clothis, and hadde a pennere of a writere in hise leendis.
4 उससे कहा, “पूरे येरूशलेम शहर में जाओ और उन सब लोगों के माथे पर एक चिन्ह लगाओ, जो शहर में हो रहे सब घृणित कामों से दुःखी हैं और शोक मनाते हैं.”
And the Lord seide to hym, Passe thou bi the myddis of the citee, in the myddis of Jerusalem, and marke thou Thau on the forhedis of men weilynge and sorewynge on alle abhomynaciouns that ben doon in the myddis therof.
5 जैसे कि मैंने सुना, उसने दूसरों से कहा, “उसके पीछे-पीछे पूरे शहर में जाओ और बिना दया या सहानुभूति दिखाये लोगों को जान से मारते जाओ.
And he seide to hem in myn heryng, Go ye thorouy the citee, and sue ye hym, and smytte ye; youre iye spare not, nether do ye merci.
6 बूढ़े, जवान युवक और युवती, मां और बच्चे सबको मार डालना, परंतु किसी भी ऐसे व्यक्ति को न छूना, जिसमें चिन्ह लगा हो. मेरे पवित्र स्थान से शुरू करना.” अतः उन्होंने उन बूढ़े लोगों से शुरू किया, जो मंदिर के सामने थे.
Sle ye til to deth, an eld man, a yong man, and a virgyn, a litil child, and wymmen; but sle ye not ony man, on whom ye seen Thau; and bigynne ye at my seyntuarie. Therfore thei bigunnen at the eldere men, that weren bifore the face of the hous.
7 तब उसने उनसे कहा, “मंदिर को अशुद्ध कर देना और मारे गये लोगों से आंगनों को भर देना. जाओ!” अतः वे बाहर निकले और पूरे शहर में लोगों को मारने लगे.
And he seide to hem, Defoule ye the hous, and fille ye the hallis with slayn men; go ye out. And thei yeden out, and killiden hem that weren in the citee.
8 जब वे मार रहे थे और मैं अकेला रह गया, तब मैं मुंह के बल गिरा और चिल्लाकर कहा, “हे परम प्रधान याहवेह, हाय! क्या आप येरूशलेम पर अपने भयंकर कोप में आकर इस्राएल के सब बचे हुओं को नाश कर देंगे?”
And lo! whanne the sleyng was fillid, Y was left. And Y felle doun on my face, and Y criede, and seide, Alas! alas! alas! Lord God, therfor whether thou schalt leese alle remenauntis of Israel, and schalt schede out thi stronge veniaunce on Jerusalem?
9 तब उसने मुझे उत्तर दिया, “इस्राएल और यहूदाह के लोगों का पाप बहुत ही ज्यादा है; सारा देश रक्तपात से और शहर अन्याय से भरा हुआ है. वे कहते हैं, ‘याहवेह ने तो देश को त्याग दिया है; याहवेह नहीं देखते.’
And he seide to me, The wickidnesse of the hous of Israel and of Juda is ful greet, and the lond is fillid of bloodis, and the citee is fillid with turnyng awei; for thei seiden, The Lord hath forsake the lond, and the Lord seeth not.
10 इसलिये मैं उन पर दया दृष्टि नहीं करूंगा या उन्हें नहीं छोड़ूंगा, पर मैं उनके कामों को उन्हीं पर डाल दूंगा.”
Therfor and myn iye schal not spare, nether Y schal do merci; Y schal yelde the weie of hem on the heed of hem.
11 तब वह व्यक्ति, जो मलमल का कपड़ा पहने अपने बगल में लेखन सामग्री लिये हुए था, वापस आकर कहा, “आपने जैसा आदेश दिया था, मैंने वैसा कर दिया है.”
And lo! the man that was clothid in lynun clothis, that hadde a pennere in his bak, answeride a word, and seide, Y haue do, as thou comaundidist to me.
