1 “सूची में लिखे गोत्रों के नाम ये हैं: “उत्तरी सीमांत पर दान का एक भाग होगा; यह हेथलोन के मार्ग से लेबो हामाथ के बाद होगा; हाज़ार-एनान और हामाथ से लगा दमेशेक की उत्तरी सीमा इसकी सीमा का भाग होगा, जो पूर्व तरफ से पश्चिम तरफ होगा.

“Here is a list of the tribes of Israel [and the territory that each tribe is to receive]: [The tribe of] Dan will be allotted land at the northern boundary [of Israel]: It will extend east from the Mediterranean Sea east to Hethlon [city], then from there to Hamath Pass, and on to [the town of] Hazar-Enan south of Damascus, between Damascus and Hamath. The tribe of Dan will receive land on the northern border [of Israel] from the eastern end [of the country] west to the [Mediterranean] Sea.

2 आशेर का एक भाग होगा; इसकी सीमा पूर्व से पश्चिम तक दान के क्षेत्र से लगी होगी.

South of their land will be the territory [for the tribe] of Asher.

3 आशेर की सीमा से लगकर पूर्व से पश्चिम तक नफताली का एक भाग होगा.

South of their land will be the territory [for the tribe] of Naphtali.

4 नफताली की सीमा से लगकर पूर्व से पश्चिम तक मनश्शेह का एक भाग होगा.

South of their land will be the territory [for the tribe] of Manasseh.

5 मनश्शेह की सीमा से लगकर पूर्व से पश्चिम तक एफ्राईम का एक भाग होगा.

South of their land will be the territory [for the tribe] of Ephraim.

6 एफ्राईम की सीमा से लगकर पूर्व से पश्चिम तक रियूबेन का एक भाग होगा.

South of their land will be the territory [for the tribe] of Reuben.

7 रियूबेन की सीमा से लगकर पूर्व से पश्चिम तक यहूदाह का एक भाग होगा.

South of their land will be the territory [for the tribe] of Judah.

8 “यहूदाह की सीमा से लगकर पूर्व से पश्चिम एक भाग होगा, जिसे तुम्हें एक विशेष भेंट के रूप में देना है. इसकी चौड़ाई लगभग तेरह किलोमीटर, और पूर्व से लेकर पश्चिम तक इसकी लंबाई दूसरे गोत्र को दिये गए भाग की लंबाई के बराबर होगी; पवित्र स्थान इसके बीच में होगा.

South of their land will be an area set apart for special use. The temple will be in the center of that area.

9 “जो विशेष भाग, तुम्हें याहवेह को अर्पण करना है, उसकी लंबाई लगभग तेरह किलोमीटर और चौड़ाई लगभग पांच किलोमीटर होगी.

It must be (8.3 miles/13.3 km.) long and (6.7 miles/10.6 km.) wide.

10 पुरोहितों के लिये यह पवित्र भाग होगा. उत्तर की तरफ इसकी लंबाई लगभग तेरह किलोमीटर, पश्चिम की तरफ इसकी चौड़ाई लगभग पांच किलोमीटर, चौड़ा अंश पुरोहितों के लिए होगा. इसके बीच में याहवेह का पवित्र स्थान होगा.

For the priests, there must be a strip of land (8.3 miles/13.3 km.) long and (3.3 miles/5.3 km.) wide. The temple will be in the center of that area.

11 यह भाग सादोक के वंश के उन पवित्र किए हुए पुरोहितों के लिये होगा, जो मेरी सेवा करने में विश्वासयोग्य थे और उन लेवियों की तरह भटके नहीं, जो इस्राएलियों के भटकने पर वे भी भटक गए.

That area is for the priests who are descendants of Zadok. They are ones who served me faithfully and did not turn away from me, like most of the descendants of Levi and the other Israeli people did.

12 यह देश के पवित्र भाग से उनके लिये एक विशेष भेंट होगी, एक परम पवित्र भाग, जो लेवियों की सीमा से लगा होगा.

When the land is distributed, that area must be given to the priests; it is land that is very sacred. It will be next to the land that will be given to the other descendants of Levi.

13 “पुरोहितों के क्षेत्र से लगा हुआ एक भाग लेवियों के लिये होगा, जो लगभग तेरह किलोमीटर लंबा और लगभग पांच किलोमीटर चौड़ा होगा. इसकी पूरी लंबाई लगभग तेरह किलोमीटर और चौड़ाई लगभग पांच किलोमीटर होगी.

The land that will be allotted to the [other] descendants of Levi will be the same size as the land allotted to the priests. So together, those two portions of land will be (8.3 miles/13.3 km.) long and (6.6 miles/10.6 km.) wide.

14 वे इसे न तो बेचें और न ही इसका कोई भाग अदला-बदली करें. यह देश का सबसे अच्छा भाग है और किसी भी हालत में इसे दूसरे के हाथों में न दिया जाए, क्योंकि यह याहवेह के लिये पवित्र है.

None of this special land will ever be permitted to be sold or traded or used by other people, because it belongs to me, Yahweh. It is set apart for me.

15 “बचा हुआ लगभग ढाई किलोमीटर चौड़ा और लगभग तेरह किलोमीटर लंबा क्षेत्र शहर के साधारण उपयोग के लिये होगा, जिसमें घर और चरागाह होंगे. शहर इसके बीच में होगा

The rest [of that sacred area, a strip of land] (8.3 miles/13.3 km.) long and (1.7 miles/2.65 km.) wide will be allotted for other people to use. It will be land where they will be permitted to build homes and have pasturelands. There will be a city at the center.

16 और इसकी नाप इस प्रकार होगा: उत्तर की तरफ लगभग सवा दो किलोमीटर, दक्षिण की तरफ लगभग सवा दो किलोमीटर, पूर्व की तरफ लगभग सवा दो किलोमीटर, पश्चिम की तरफ लगभग सवा दो किलोमीटर.

The city will be square, (1.5 miles/2.4 km.) on each side.

17 शहर के लिये चरागाह के लिये भूमि उत्तर की ओर लगभग सवा सौ मीटर, दक्षिण की ओर लगभग सवा सौ मीटर, पूर्व की ओर लगभग सवा सौ मीटर, और पश्चिम की ओर लगभग सवा सौ मीटर होगी.

Around the city there will be an area for farming, that will be (150 yards/135 meters) in each direction.

18 पवित्र भाग के सीमा से लगा जो बचा हुआ भाग होगा और पवित्र भाग के लंबाई की तरफ होगा, वह पूर्व की ओर लगभग पांच किलोमीटर और पश्चिम की ओर लगभग पांच किलोमीटर होगा. इसकी उपज से शहर के श्रमिक भोजन प्राप्‍त करेंगे.

Outside the city, to the east and to the west, there will be a farming area. It will extend (3 miles/4.8 km.) to the east and (3 miles/4.8 km.) to the west. [Men who work there] will produce food for the people who work in the city.

19 शहर के जो श्रमिक इसमें खेतीबाड़ी करेंगे, वे इस्राएल के सारे गोत्रों में से होंगे.

[Some of] those who come from the various Israeli tribes to work in the city may also work on the farmland.

20 यह पूरा भाग वर्गाकार होगा, हर तरफ लगभग तेरह किलोमीटर. एक विशेष भेंट के रूप में पवित्र भाग को, तुम शहर की संपत्ति के साथ अलग रखना.

That entire special area, including the sacred lands and the city, will be a square that is (8.3 miles/13.3 km.) on each side.

21 “पवित्र भाग से बने हुए क्षेत्र के दोनों तरफ जो भाग बच जाता है, वह और शहर की संपत्ति राजकुमार की होगी. यह लगभग तेरह किलोमीटर पूर्वी सीमा की ओर और लगभग तेरह किलोमीटर पश्चिमी सीमा की ओर फैली होगी. ये दोनों क्षेत्र राजकुमार के होंगे, जो गोत्र के भागों के लंबाई में होंगे, और इनके बीच पवित्र भाग के साथ मंदिर का पवित्र स्थान होगा.

The areas to the east and to the west of the sacred area and the city will belong to the king. One area will extend east to the eastern boundary of Israel and the other will extend west to the Mediterranean Sea. The sacred area in which the temple is located will be in the middle.

22 इस प्रकार लेवियों की संपत्ति और शहर की संपत्ति उस क्षेत्र में होगी, जो राजकुमार की होगी. राजकुमार का क्षेत्र यहूदाह की सीमा और बिन्यामिन की सीमा के बीच होगा.

The area that belongs to the king will be between the land [of the tribe] of [to the north] and the land [of the tribe] of Benjamin [to the south].

23 “बाकी गोत्रों के लिए भाग इस प्रकार होगा: “पूर्व की ओर से पश्चिम की ओर एक भाग बिन्यामिन का होगा.

South of that special area, each of the other tribes must be allotted one portion of land that extends from the eastern [boundary of Israel] west [to the Mediterranean Sea]. [Beginning at the north] will be land for [the tribe of] Benjamin.

24 बिन्यामिन के क्षेत्र की सीमा से लगकर पूर्व से पश्चिम की ओर एक भाग शिमओन का होगा.

South of their land will be the territory for [the tribe of] Simeon.

25 शिमओन के क्षेत्र की सीमा से लगकर पूर्व से पश्चिम की ओर एक भाग इस्साखार का होगा.

South of their land will be the territory for [the tribe of] Issachar.

26 इस्साखार के क्षेत्र की सीमा से लगकर पूर्व से पश्चिम की ओर एक भाग ज़ेबुलून का होगा.

South of their land will be the territory for [the tribe of] Zebulun.

27 ज़ेबुलून के क्षेत्र की सीमा से लगकर पूर्व से पश्चिम की ओर एक भाग गाद का होगा.

South of their land will be the territory for [the tribe of] Gad.

28 गाद की दक्षिणी सीमा दक्षिण की ओर तामार से मेरिबाह-कादेश के पानी के सोते तक जाएगी, तब मिस्र की नदी से होते हुए भूमध्य सागर तक होगी.

The southern boundary of [the tribe of] Gad will extend south from Tamar to the springs at Meribah-Kadesh, and from there [to the west] along the dry riverbed at the border of Egypt to the Mediterranean Sea.

29 “यह देश तुम इस्राएल के गोत्रों को एक उत्तराधिकार के रूप में देना, और ये उनके भाग होंगे,” परम प्रधान याहवेह की घोषणा है.

That is the land that you must allot to the tribes of Israel, to belong to them permanently. [That is what I], Yahweh the Lord, declare.”

30 “ये शहर के निकास होंगे: “उत्तर की तरफ से शुरू होकर, जिसकी लंबाई लगभग ढाई किलोमीटर है,

These will be the exits from the city: On the north side, which will be (1.5 miles/2.4 km.) long,

31 शहर के द्वारों को इस्राएल के गोत्रों के नाम दिये जाएंगे. उत्तर की तरफ तीन द्वारों के नाम—रियूबेन का द्वार, यहूदाह का द्वार और लेवी का द्वार होगा.

there must be three gates; each one will have the name of one of the tribes of Israel. The first one will be named for Reuben, the next for Judah, the next for Levi.

32 पूर्व की तरफ, जिसकी लंबाई लगभग ढाई किलोमीटर है, तीन द्वार होंगे: योसेफ़ का द्वार, बिन्यामिन का द्वार और दान का द्वार.

On the east side, [also] (1.5 miles/2.4 km.) long, will be gates named for Joseph, Benjamin, and Dan.

33 दक्षिण की तरफ, जिसकी लंबाई लगभग ढाई किलोमीटर है, तीन द्वार होंगे: शिमओन का द्वार, इस्साखार का द्वार और ज़ेबुलून का द्वार.

On the south side, [also] (1.5 miles/2.4 km.) long, will be gates named for Simeon, Issachar, and Zebulun.

34 पश्चिम की तरफ, जिसकी लंबाई लगभग ढाई किलोमीटर है, तीन द्वार होंगे: गाद का द्वार, आशेर का द्वार और नफताली का द्वार.

On the west side, [also] (1.5 miles/2.4 km.) long, will be gates named for Gad, Asher, and Naphtali.

35 “सब तरफ की दूरी लगभग दस किलोमीटर होगी. “और उस समय से इस नगर का नाम होगा, ‘याहवेह शाम्मा’ अर्थात् याहवेह वहां है.”

[So] the distance around the city will thus be (6 miles/9.6 km.). And from that time on, the name of the city will be ‘Yahweh Is There’.’
