1 हमारे बंधुआई के पच्चीसवें वर्ष के प्रारंभ ही में, माह के दसवें दिन, जो नगर के पतन के बाद का चौदहवां वर्ष था; उसी दिन याहवेह का हाथ मेरे ऊपर था और वह मुझे वहां ले गए.

In the twenty-fifth year of our captivity at the beginning of the year on the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city was captured—on that same day, the hand of Yahweh was upon me and he took me there.

2 परमेश्वर के इस दर्शन में वह मुझे इस्राएल के देश में ले गए और मुझे एक बहुत ऊंचे पर्वत पर खड़ा कर दिया, जिसके दक्षिण ओर कुछ भवन थे, जो एक शहर की तरह दिखता था.

In visions from God he brought me to the land of Israel. He brought me to rest on a very high mountain; to the south were what appeared to be buildings of a city.

Then he brought me there. Behold, a man! His appearance was like the appearance of bronze. A linen cord and a measuring stick were in his hand, and he stood in the city gate.

4 उस व्यक्ति ने मुझसे कहा, “हे मनुष्य के पुत्र, ध्यान से देखो और पास जाकर सुनो और जो कुछ मैं तुम्हें दिखाने जा रहा हूं, उन सब पर ध्यान दो, क्योंकि उसी लिये तुम्हें यहां लाया गया है. हर एक चीज़ जो तुम देखते हो, वह इस्राएल के लोगों को बताओ.”

The man said to me, “Son of man, look with your eyes and listen with your ears, and fix your mind on all that I am revealing to you, for you were brought here so I could reveal them to you. Report everything that you will see to the house of Israel.”

There was a wall surrounding the temple area. The length of the measuring stick in the man's hand was six long cubits. Each long cubit was a cubit and a handbreadth in length. So he measured the wall, and it was one measuring stick thick and one rod high.

6 तब वह उस पूर्व द्वार के पास गया. वह उसकी सीढ़ियां चढ़कर द्वार के चौखट को नापा, जिसकी चौड़ाई एक डंडा भर थी;

Then he went to the temple gate that faced east. He went up its steps and measured the threshold of the gate—one stick in depth.

The guard chambers were each one stick in length and one stick in width; there were five cubits between any two of the chambers, and the threshold of the temple gate by the temple portico was one stick deep.

He measured the portico of the gate; it was one stick in length.

He measured the portico of the gate. It was one stick deep. The doorposts were two cubits in width. This was the portico of the gate facing the temple.

10 पूर्वी द्वार के भीतर दोनों तरफ तीन-तीन पहरेवाली कोठरियां थी; तीनों की नाप एक समान थी, और दोनों तरफ की दीवारों की नाप भी एक समान थी.

There were three guard chambers on either side of the east gate, and each of them had the same measurement, and the walls that separated them had the same measurement.

11 तब उसने प्रवेश द्वार की चौड़ाई नापी, जो लगभग पांच मीटर थी तथा इसकी लंबाई लगभग साढ़े छः मीटर थी.

Then the man measured the width of the gateway entrance—ten cubits; and he measured the length of the gateway entrance—thirteen cubits.

12 हर एक पहरेवाली कोठरी के सामने आधा मीटर ऊंची दीवार थी, और पहरेवाली कोठरियां तीन वर्ग मीटर की थी.

He measured the wall that was bordering the front of the chambers—one cubit high. The chambers measured six cubits on each side.

13 तब उसने एक पहरेवाली कोठरी के पीछे के दीवार के शिखर से दूसरे तरफ के शिखर तक द्वार को नापा; एक तरफ की ऊंची दीवार से लेकर दूसरी तरफ की ऊंची दीवार तक उसकी दूरी लगभग साढ़े बारह मीटर थी.

Then he measured the gateway from the roof of one chamber to that of the next chamber—twenty-five cubits, from the entrance of the first chamber to that of the second.

14 उसने द्वार के भीतर पूरे दीवारों को नापा, जो लगभग तीस मीटर थी. उसने मंडप तक नापा, जो आंगन की ओर था.

Then he measured the wall that went between the guard chambers—sixty cubits in length; he measured as far as the gate's portico.

15 प्रवेश द्वार से लेकर इसके मंडप के अंतिम छोर तक की दूरी लगभग सत्ताईस मीटर थी.

The entrance from the front of the gate to the other end of the gate's portico was fifty cubits.

16 पहरेवाली कोठरियों और द्वार के भीतर चारों ओर दीवारों पर संकरी खिड़कियां थी, उसी प्रकार मंडप भी था. ये खिड़कियां भीतर की ओर खुलती थी. दीवारों पर खजूर के पेड़ों की आकृति बनाकर सजाया गया था.

There were closed windows toward the chambers and toward their pillars within the gates all around; and likewise for the porches. The were windows all around the inside, and each jamb was decorated with palm trees.

17 तब वह मुझे बाहर के आंगन में ले आया. वहां मैंने कुछ कमरे और ईंट से बना एक पैदल मार्ग देखा, जो आंगन के चारों तरफ बना हुआ था; पैदल मार्ग के साथ तीस कमरे थे.

Then the man brought me to the outer courtyard of the temple. Behold, there were rooms, and there was pavement in the courtyard, with thirty rooms next to the pavement.

18 यह द्वार के किनारे से मिला हुआ था और इसकी लंबाई और चौड़ाई बराबर थी; यह नीचे का पैदल मार्ग था.

The pavement went up to the side of the gates, and its width was the same as the gates' length. This was the lower pavement.

19 तब उसने निचले द्वार के भीतर से लेकर भीतरी आंगन के बाहर तक की दूरी नापी; यह दूरी पूर्व की तरफ और साथ में उत्तर की तरफ लगभग तिरपन मीटर थी.

Then the man measured the distance from the front of the lower gate to the front of the inner gate; it was one hundred cubits on the east side, and the same on the north side.

20 तब उसने उत्तरी द्वार की लंबाई और चौड़ाई को नापा, जो बाहरी आंगन की ओर जा रहा था.

Then he measured the length and width of the gate that was at the north of the outer court.

21 द्वार के दोनों ओर तीन-तीन पहरेवाली कोठरियां थी; इनसे लगे हुए दीवार और इसके मंडप की नाप ठीक पहले द्वार के समान थी. यह लगभग पच्चीस मीटर लंबा और साढ़े बारह मीटर चौड़ा था.

There were three chambers on either side of that gate, and the gate and its portico measured the same as the main gate—fifty cubits in total length and twenty-five cubits in width.

22 इसकी खिड़कियों, इसके मंडप और इसके खजूर पेड़ के सजावट की नाप उस द्वार के समान ही थी, जो पूर्व की ओर था. इसके ऊपर जाने के लिए सात सीढ़ियां थी, और इसका मंडप उनके सामने था.

Its windows, portico, chambers, and its palm trees corresponded to the gate that faced east. Seven steps went up to it and to its portico.

23 भीतरी आंगन में भी एक द्वार था, जो उत्तरी के सामने था, जैसा कि वहां पूर्व की ओर भी था. उसने एक द्वार से लेकर सामने के द्वार की दूरी को नापा; जो लगभग पचास मीटर था.

There was a gate to the inner courtyard in front of the gate facing north, just as also there was a gate to the east; the man measured from one gate to the other gate—one hundred cubits in distance.

24 तब वह मुझे दक्षिण की ओर ले गया और मैंने दक्षिणी द्वार को देखा. उसने इसकी चौखटों और मंडप को नापा, और उनकी नाप दूसरों की ही तरह थी.

Next the man brought me to the gate of the southern entrance, and its walls and portico measured the same as the other outer gates.

25 द्वार और इसके मंडप के चारों तरफ संकरी खिड़कियां थी, जो दूसरों के समान ही थी. इसकी लंबाई लगभग पच्चीस मीटर और चौड़ाई लगभग साढ़े बारह मीटर थी.

There were closed windows in the gateway and its portico just as at that gate. The south gate and its portico measured fifty cubits in length and twenty-five cubits in width.

26 इसके ऊपर जाने के लिए सात सीढ़ियां थी, और इसका मंडप उनके सामने था; इसके दोनों ओर की दीवारों को खजूर पेड़ की आकृति से सजाया गया था.

There were seven steps up to the gate and its portico, and there were carvings of palm trees on the walls on either side.

27 भीतरी आंगन का भी एक द्वार था, जो दक्षिण की ओर था, और उसने इस द्वार से लेकर दक्षिण के बाहरी द्वार तक नापा; इसकी दूरी लगभग पचास मीटर थी.

There was a gate to the inner courtyard on the southern side, and the man measured from that gate to the gate of the south entrance—one hundred cubits in distance.

28 तब वह मुझे दक्षिणी द्वार से भीतरी आंगन में ले आया, और उसने दक्षिणी द्वार को नापा; इसकी नाप भी दूसरों की तरह ही थी.

Then the man brought me to the inner courtyard by way of its southern gate, which had the same measurements as the other gates.

29 इसकी पहरेवाली कोठरियों, इसके जुड़े हुए दीवार और इसके मंडप की नाप भी दूसरों की ही समान थी. द्वार और इसके मंडप के चारों ओर खिड़कियां थी. यह लगभग पच्चीस मीटर लंबा और लगभग साढ़े बारह मीटर चौड़ा था.

Its chambers, walls, and porticos measured the same as the other gates; there were windows all around in the portico. The inner gate and its portico measured fifty cubits in length and twenty-five cubits in width.

30 (भीतरी आंगन के चारों ओर द्वारों के मंडप लगभग साढ़े बारह मीटर चौड़े और लगभग ढाई मीटर गहरे थे.)

There were also porticos all around the inner wall; these were twenty-five cubits in length and five cubits in width.

31 इसका मंडप बाहरी आंगन की ओर था; इसके चौखटों को खजूर के पेड़ की आकृतियां से सजाया गया था, और इसके ऊपर जाने के लिये आठ सीढ़ियां थी.

This portico faced the outer courtyard with carved palm trees on its walls and eight steps going up to it.

32 तब वह मुझे पूर्व की ओर के भीतरी आंगन में ले आया, और उसने द्वार को नापा; इसकी नाप भी दूसरों की ही तरह थी.

Then the man brought me to the inner courtyard by the eastern way and measured the gate, which had the same measurements as the other gates.

33 इसकी पहरेवाली कोठरियों, इसके जुड़े हुए दीवार और इसके मंडप की नाप भी दूसरों के ही समान थी. द्वार और इसके मंडप के चारों ओर खिड़कियां थी. यह लगभग पच्चीस मीटर लंबा और लगभग साढ़े बारह मीटर चौड़ा था.

Its chambers, walls, and portico measured the same as the other gates, and there were windows all around. The inner gate and its portico measured fifty cubits in length and twenty-five cubits in width.

34 इसका मंडप बाहरी आंगन की ओर था; दोनों तरफ इसके चौखटों को खजूर के पेड़ की आकृतियां से सजाया गया था, और इसके ऊपर जाने के लिये आठ सीढ़ियां थी.

Its portico faced the outer courtyard; it had palm trees on either side of it and eight steps going up it.

35 तब वह मुझे उत्तरी द्वार पर ले आया और उसे नापा. इसकी नाप भी दूसरों की ही तरह थी,

Next the man brought me to the northern gate and measured it; it measured the same as the other gates.

36 वैसे ही इसके पहरेवाली कोठरियां, इसके लगे हुए दीवार और इसका मंडप था, और इसके चारों ओर खिड़कियां थी. यह लगभग पच्चीस मीटर लंबा और लगभग साढ़े बारह मीटर चौड़ा था.

Its chambers, walls, and portico measured the same as the other gates, and there were windows all around. The gateway and its portico measured fifty cubits in length and twenty-five cubits in width.

37 इसका मंडप बाहरी आंगन की ओर था; दोनों तरफ इसके चौखटों को खजूर के पेड़ की आकृतियां से सजाया गया था, और इसके ऊपर जाने के लिये आठ सीढ़ियां थी.

Its portico faced the outer courtyard; it had palm trees on either side of it and eight steps going up it.

38 हर एक भीतरी द्वार के मंडप के बाजू में एक दरवाजे वाला एक कमरा था, जहां होमबलिदान को धोया जाता था.

There was a room with a door by each of the inner gateways. This was where they rinsed the burnt offerings.

39 द्वार के मंडप में दोनों तरफ दो-दो मेजें थी, जिन पर होमबलि, पापबलि एवं दोष बलि के पशुओं का वध किया जाता था.

There were two tables on each side of each portico, on which the burnt offering was slaughtered, and also the sin offering and the guilt offering.

40 द्वार के मंडप के बाहरी दीवार के किनारे, उत्तरी प्रवेश द्वार के पास दो मेजें थी, और सीढ़ियों के दूसरी ओर भी दो मेजें थी.

By the wall of the courtyard, going up to the gate to the north, there were two tables. Also on the other side there were two tables at the gate's portico.

41 इस प्रकार द्वार के एक तरफ चार मेजें और दूसरी तरफ चार मेजें थी—कुल आठ मेजें थी, जिन पर बलिदान के पशुओं का वध किया जाता था.

There were four tables on either side by the gate; they slaughtered animals on the eight tables.

42 होमबलिदान के लिये तराशे गये पत्थरों से बनी चार मेजें थी, इनमें से हर एक लगभग अस्सी सेंटीमीटर लंबी, अस्सी सेंटीमीटर चौड़ी और लगभग त्रेपन सेंटीमीटर ऊंची थी. इन पर वे उपकरण या बर्तन रखे गये थे, जिनका उपयोग होमबलिदान और दूसरे बलिदानों में किया जाता था.

There were four tables of cut stone for the burnt offerings, one and a half cubits in length, one and a half cubits in width, and one cubit tall. On them they laid the tools with which they slaughtered the burnt offerings for the sacrifices.

43 दीवार के चारों ओर दोहरी दांतेदार कांटे लगाये गए थे, जिसमें से हर एक की लंबाई लगभग नौ सेंटीमीटर थी. ये मेजें बलिदान किए गए पशुओं के मांस रखने के लिये थी.

Two-pronged hooks a handbreadth in length were fastened in the portico all around, and the flesh of the offerings would be put on the tables.

44 भीतरी द्वार के बाहर, भीतरी आंगन के अंदर दो कमरे थे, एक उत्तरी द्वार के तरफ था, जो दक्षिण की ओर खुलता था, और दूसरा दक्षिणी द्वार के तरफ था, जो उत्तर की ओर खुलता था.

On the outside of the inner gate, within the inner courtyard, were singers' chambers, one on the north side facing south, and the other on the south side facing north.

45 उसने मुझसे कहा, “जो कमरा दक्षिण की ओर खुलता है, वह उन पुरोहितों के लिये है, जो मंदिर की पहरेदारी करते हैं,

Then the man said to me, “This room facing south is for the priests who are on duty in the temple.

46 और वह कमरा जो उत्तर की ओर खुलता है, वह उन पुरोहितों के लिए है, जो वेदी की पहरेदारी करते हैं. ये सादोक के संतान हैं, और ये ही सिर्फ वे लेवी हैं जो याहवेह के पास जाकर उसके सामने सेवा टहल करें.”

The room facing north is for the priests on duty at the altar. These are the sons of Zadok who come near to Yahweh to serve him; they are among the sons of Levi.”

47 तब उसने आंगन को नापा: यह वर्गाकार था—लगभग पच्चास मीटर लंबा और लगभग पच्चास मीटर चौड़ा. और वेदी मंदिर के सामने थी.

Next he measured the courtyard—one hundred cubits in length and one hundred cubits in width in a square, with the altar in front of the house.

48 तब वह मुझे मंदिर के मंडप में ले आया और उसने मंडप के चौखटों को नापा; ये दोनों तरफ लगभग ढाई-ढाई मीटर चौड़े थे. प्रवेश की चौड़ाई लगभग सात मीटर और इससे लगे दीवारों की चौड़ाई दोनों तरफ लगभग डेढ़-डेढ़ मीटर थी.

Then the man brought me to the portico of the house and measured its doorposts—they were five cubits thick on either side. The entryway itself was fourteen cubits in width, and the walls on each side of it were three cubits in width.

49 मंडप लगभग दस मीटर चौड़ा था, और सामने से लेकर पीछे तक लगभग छः मीटर था. उस पर चढ़ने के लिए सीढ़ियां थी, और दोनों तरफ के चौखटों के बाजू में खंभे थे.

The length of the portico was twenty cubits, and its depth was eleven cubits. There were steps that went up to it and columns that stood on either side of it.
