व्यवस्था विवरण 6

1 तुम्हारे परमेश्वर द्वारा दिए गए आदेश, नियम और विधियां इस प्रकार हैं, जिनकी शिक्षा तुम्हें देने का आदेश याहवेह, तुम्हारे परमेश्वर ने मुझे दिया है, कि उनका अनुपालन तुम उस देश में कर सको, तुम जिसका अभिग्रहण करने के उद्देश्य से जा रहे हो.

This, then is the commandment—[namely] the statutes and the regulations, which Yahweh your God hath commanded to teach you, —that ye may do them in the land whither ye are passing over to possess it:

2 यह इसलिये, कि तुम, तुम्हारी संतान और उनकी भी संतान, याहवेह तुम्हारे परमेश्वर के प्रति श्रद्धा और भय बनाए रखें, मेरे द्वारा लाए गए नियम और आदेशों का जीवन भर पालन करते रहें, और तुम लंबी आयु के हो जाओ.

that thou mayest revere Yahweh thy God, [so as] to keep all his statutes and his commandments which I am commanding thee, thou and thy son and thy sons’ son, all the days of thy life, —and that thy days may be prolonged.

3 इस्राएलियो, ज़रूरी है कि तुम इसे बड़े यत्न से सुनो और इसका पालन करने के विषय में सावधान रहो, कि उस देश में, जहां दूध और मधु की बहुतायत है तुम्हारा भला हो, तुम्हारा वंश बहुत बढ़ जाए; ठीक जैसी याहवेह, तुम्हारे पूर्वजों के परमेश्वर ने तुमसे प्रतिज्ञा की है.

Therefore shalt thou hear, O Israel, and shalt observe to do, that it may be well with thee, and that ye may multiply greatly, as Yahweh the God of thy fathers hath spoken to thee, in a land flowing with milk and honey.

4 सुनो, इस्राएलियो! याहवेह हमारे परमेश्वर अद्वितीय याहवेह हैं.

Hear, O Israel: Yahweh, is our God, —Yahweh alone.

5 तुम याहवेह तुम्हारे परमेश्वर से अपने सारे हृदय, सारे प्राण, सारे मस्तिष्क तथा सारी शक्ति से प्रेम करो.

Thou shalt therefore love Yahweh thy God, —with all thy heart and with all thy soul, and with all thy might;

6 ये आदेश, जो आज मैं तुम्हारे सामने स्पष्ट कर रहा हूं, तुम्हारे हृदय में बैठ जाए.

so shall these words which I am commanding thee to-day, be upon thy heart;

7 तुम ये आदेश अपनी संतान को सिखाया करना. जब तुम अपने घर में बैठे हुए हो, तब तुम इनका उल्लेख करोगे, जब तुम मार्ग में आगे बढ़ रहे हो, और जब तुम विश्राम के लिए लेटोगे या जब तुम नींद से उठोगे.

and thou shalt impress them upon thy sons, and shalt speak of them, —when thou sittest in thy house and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down and when thou risest up;

8 तुम इन्हें अपने हाथ पर चिन्ह के रूप में बांध लोगे, ये तुम्हारे माथे पर टीका होंगे.

and thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thy hand, —and they shall serve for bands between thine eyes;

9 तुम उन्हें अपने घर की चौखटों पर और अपने द्वारों पर लिखोगे.

and thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house and within thy gates.

10 तब याहवेह, तुम्हारे परमेश्वर जब तुम्हें उस देश में ले आएंगे, जिसके विषय में उन्होंने तुम्हारे पूर्वजों अब्राहाम, यित्सहाक और याकोब से प्रतिज्ञा की थी, कि वह तुम्हें यह देश देंगे, जिस देश में विशाल और भव्य नगर हैं, जिनका निर्माण तुम्हारे द्वारा नहीं किया गया,

So shall it be, when Yahweh thy God shall bring thee into the land, which he sware to thy fathers—to Abraham to Isaac and to Jacob to give unto thee, —into cities great and goodly, which thou didst not build;

11 जहां घर उत्तम वस्तुओं से भरे होंगे जो तुम्हारे द्वारा इकट्ठा नहीं की गई होंगी, पत्थरों में खोदकर बनाए गए कुंड; जिनको तुमने नहीं बनाया होगा, अंगूर के बगीचे और ज़ैतून के पेड़; जिन्हें तुमने नहीं लगाया, जिनको खाकर तुम बहुत तृप्‍त होगे,

and houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and hewn cisterns which thou hewedst not, vineyards and oliveyards which thou plantedst not, —and shalt eat and be full,

12 तब सावधान रहना, कि तुम उन याहवेह को, जो तुम्हें मिस्र देश से, दासत्व के जीवन से, निकालकर लाए हैं, भुला न दो.

take heed unto thyself, lest thou forget Yahweh, —who brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt out of the house of servants.

13 श्रद्धा तुम सिर्फ याहवेह, तुम्हारे परमेश्वर के प्रति रखोगे, तुम आराधना सिर्फ उनकी करोगे, और शपथ उन्हीं की लिया करोगे.

Yahweh thy God, shalt thou revere And him, shalt thou serve, —And by his name, shalt thou swear.

14 तुम पराए देवताओं का अनुगमन नहीं करोगे; तुम्हारे पड़ोसी राष्ट्रों के किसी भी देवता का;

Ye shall not go after other gods, —of the gods of the peoples who are surrounding you;

15 क्योंकि याहवेह, तुम्हारे परमेश्वर, जिनकी उपस्थिति तुम्हारे बीच में है, जलन रखनेवाले परमेश्वर हैं; नहीं तो याहवेह, तुम्हारे परमेश्वर का कोप तुम्हारे विरुद्ध भड़क उठेगा और वह तुम्हें पृथ्वी पर से मिटा डालेंगे.

for a jealous GOD, is Yahweh thy God in thy midst, —lest the anger of Yahweh thy God kindle upon thee, and so he destroy thee from off the face of the ground.

16 तुम याहवेह, अपने परमेश्वर को न परखना; जैसा तुमने मस्साह में किया था.

Ye shall not put Yahweh your God to the proof, —as ye put him to the proof in Massah [that is, "The place of proving"].

17 चाहिए कि तुम याहवेह, अपने परमेश्वर द्वारा दिए आदेशों, घोषणाओं और नियमों का पालन सावधानीपूर्वक करो.

Ye shall, keep, the commandments of Yahweh your God and his testimonies and his statutes which he hath commanded thee;

18 तुम वही करोगे, जो याहवेह की दृष्टि में सही और उचित है, कि इसमें तुम्हारा भला हो और तुम जाकर उत्तम देश पर अधिकार करो, जिसे देने की प्रतिज्ञा याहवेह ने तुम्हारे पूर्वजों से की थी.

so shalt thou do what is right and what is pleasing in the eyes of Yahweh, —that it may be well with thee, and thou mayest enter in and possess the good land, which Yahweh sware unto thy fathers;

19 यह तुम याहवेह के आदेश के अनुसार अपने सभी शत्रुओं को अपने सामने से खदेड़ने के द्वारा करोगे.

to thrust out all thine enemies from before thee, —As spake Yahweh.

20 भविष्य में जब तुम्हारी संतान तुमसे यह प्रश्न करे: “क्या मतलब है इन घोषणाओं, नियमों और विधियों का, जो याहवेह, हमारे परमेश्वर द्वारा दिए गए हैं?”

When thy son shall ask thee in time to come, saying, —What mean the testimonies and the statutes and the regulations, which Yahweh our God commanded you?

21 तब उनके लिए तुम्हारा उत्तर होगा, “मिस्र देश में हम फ़रोह के दास थे, तब याहवेह ने हमें अपनी सामर्थी भुजा के द्वारा मिस्र देश से निकाल लिया.

Then shalt thou say unto thy son, Servants, were we unto Pharaoh in Egypt, —and Yahweh brought us forth out of Egypt with a firm hand;

22 इसके अलावा याहवेह ने हमारे सामने मिस्र, फ़रोह और उसके सारे परिवार के विरुद्ध अद्भुत और विपत्ति भरे चिन्हों और चमत्कारों को दिखाया.

and Yahweh put forth signs and wonders great and sore upon Egypt upon Pharaoh and upon all his household before our eyes;

23 उन्होंने हमें वहां से निकाल लिया, कि हमें उस देश में प्रवेश कराएं, जिस देश की प्रतिज्ञा उन्होंने हमारे पूर्वजों से की थी.

but he brought us forth from thence, —that he might bring us in, to give unto us the land, which he sware unto our fathers.

24 तब याहवेह ने इन सभी नियमों को पालन करने का आदेश दिया और हम हमारे परमेश्वर से डरें कि हमारा भला हो और हम जीवित रहें, जैसा कि अभी भी दिखता ही है.

So then Yahweh commanded us to do all these statutes, to revere Yahweh our God, —for our good, all the days, to preserve us alive (as at this day);

25 यदि हम सावधानीपूर्वक इन आदेशों का पालन करते रहें, ठीक जैसा उन्होंने आदेश दिया है, तो हम याहवेह अपने परमेश्वर के सामने निर्दोष रहेंगे.”

and righteousness, shall it be to us, —when we take heed to do all this commandment, before Yahweh our God, as he commanded us.
