व्यवस्था विवरण 5
1 फिर मोशेह ने सारे इस्राएल को बुलाकर कहा: सुनो, इस्राएल, आज मैं तुम्हारे सामने ये विधियां और नियम इस उद्देश्य से पेश कर रहा हूं, कि तुम इन्हें सुनकर कर सावधानीपूर्वक इनका पालन करें.
And Moses called to all Israel, and said to them, Hear, Israel, the statutes and the ordinances that I speak in your ears this day, and learn them, and keep them to do them.
2 होरेब पर्वत पर याहवेह, हमारे परमेश्वर ने हमसे वाचा बांधी थी.
Jehovah our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.
3 यह वाचा याहवेह ने हमारे पूर्वज से नहीं, बल्कि हम सभी के साथ, जो आज यहां जीवित हैं, बांधी है.
Not with our fathers did Jehovah make this covenant, but with us, [even] us, those [who are] here alive all of us this day.
4 उस पर्वत पर याहवेह ने आग में होकर तुमसे आमने-सामने बातें की.
Face to face on the mountain from the midst of the fire Jehovah spoke with you
5 उस अवसर पर मैं याहवेह और तुम्हारे बीच खड़ा हुआ था. तुम तो निकट आने के विचार से ही डर गए थे, तब मैं तुम्हारे लिए याहवेह की बातों को स्पष्ट करते हुए घोषित करता जा रहा था. आग के भय से तुम ऊपर नहीं जाना चाह रहे थे. याहवेह ने कहा था:
(I stood between Jehovah and you at that time, to declare to you the word of Jehovah; for ye were afraid by reason of the fire, and went not up to the mountain), saying,
6 “मैं ही हूं याहवेह, तुम्हारा परमेश्वर, जिसने तुम्हें मिस्र देश के बंधन से छुड़ाया.
I am Jehovah thy God who have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
7 “मेरे अलावा तुम किसी दूसरे को ईश्वर नहीं मानोगे.
Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
8 तुम अपने लिए न तो आकाश की, न पृथ्वी की, और न जल की किसी वस्तु की मूर्ति बनाना.
Thou shalt not make thyself any graven image, any form of what is in the heavens above, or what is in the earth beneath, or what is in the waters under the earth:
9 न इनमें से किसी को दंडवत करना और न उसकी आराधना करना; मैं, याहवेह, जो तुम्हारा परमेश्वर हूं, जलन रखनेवाला परमेश्वर हूं, जो मुझे अस्वीकार करते हैं, मैं उनके पापों का प्रतिफल उनके बेटों, पोतों और परपोतों तक को दूंगा,
thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them; for I, Jehovah thy God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons, and upon the third and upon the fourth [generation] of them that hate me,
10 किंतु उन हजारों पीढ़ियों पर, जिन्हें मुझसे प्रेम है तथा जो मेरे आदेशों का पालन करते हैं, अपनी करुणा प्रकट करता रहूंगा.
and shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.
11 तुम याहवेह, अपने परमेश्वर के नाम का गलत इस्तेमाल नहीं करोगे, क्योंकि याहवेह उस व्यक्ति को बिना दंड दिए नहीं छोड़ेंगे, जो याहवेह का नाम व्यर्थ में लेता है.
Thou shalt not idly utter the name of Jehovah thy God; for Jehovah will not hold him guiltless that idly uttereth his name.
12 शब्बाथ को पवित्र दिन के रूप में मानना, जैसा कि याहवेह, तुम्हारे परमेश्वर का आदेश है.
Keep the sabbath day to hallow it, as Jehovah thy God hath commanded thee.
13 छः दिन मेहनत करते हुए तुम अपने सारे काम पूरे कर लोगे,
Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work;
14 मगर सातवां दिन याहवेह तुम्हारे परमेश्वर का शब्बाथ है; इस दिन तुम कोई भी काम नहीं करोगे; तुम, तुम्हारे पुत्र-पुत्रियां, तुम्हारे पुरुष अथवा महिला सेवक न तुम्हारे गधे अथवा तुम्हारे सारे पशु अथवा तुम्हारे यहां रहनेवाले विदेशी, कि तुम्हारे सेवक-सेविकाएं भी तुम्हारे समान विश्राम कर सकें.
but the seventh day is the sabbath of Jehovah thy God: thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy bondman, nor thy handmaid, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy sojourner that is within thy gates; that thy bondman and thy handmaid may rest as well as thou.
15 तुम्हें याद रखना है कि तुम खुद मिस्र देश में दास थे और याहवेह, तुम्हारे परमेश्वर ने तुम्हें वहां से अपनी बलवंत भुजा बढ़ाकर निकाला है; इसलिये याहवेह, तुम्हारे परमेश्वर ने तुम्हें आदेश दिया है, कि शब्बाथ दिवस का पालन किया जाए.
And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and that Jehovah thy God brought thee out thence with a powerful hand and with a stretched-out arm; therefore Jehovah thy God hath commanded thee to observe the sabbath day.
16 याहवेह, अपने परमेश्वर के आदेश के अनुसार अपने पिता अपनी माता का आदर करना, कि तुम लंबी आयु के हो जाओ और उस देश में तुम्हारा भला हो, जो याहवेह, तुम्हारे परमेश्वर तुम्हें दे रहे हैं.
Honour thy father and thy mother, as Jehovah thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may be well with thee in the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee.
17 तुम मानव हत्या नहीं करना.
Thou shalt not kill.
18 तुम व्यभिचार नहीं करना.
Neither shalt thou commit adultery.
19 तुम चोरी नहीं करना.
Neither shalt thou steal.
20 तुम अपने पड़ोसी के विरुद्ध झूठी गवाही नहीं देना.
Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbour.
21 तुम अपने पड़ोसी की पत्नी का लालच नहीं करना, और न तुम अपने पड़ोसी के घर का, उसके खेत का, न किसी सेवक, सेविका का; अथवा उसके बैल अथवा गधे का; उसकी किसी भी वस्तु का लालच नहीं करना.”
Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbour's wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbour's house, his field, nor his bondman, nor his handmaid, his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbour's.
22 यह सब याहवेह ने उस पर्वत पर आग, बादल और गहरे अंधकार में से ऊंचे शब्द में तुम सभी से, अर्थात् इकट्ठी हुई महासभा से, कहे थे, इसमें उन्होंने और कुछ भी नहीं जोड़ा. इसके बाद उन्होंने यह सब दो पट्टियों पर उकेर कर मुझे दे दिया.
These words Jehovah spoke to all your congregation on the mountain from the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the obscurity, with a great voice, and he added no more; and he wrote them on two tables of stone, and gave them to me.
23 और फिर, जब तुमने उस तमस में से वह स्वर सुना, जब वह पर्वत आग में धधक रहा था, तब तुम सभी गोत्रपिता और प्रधान मेरे पास आ गए,
And it came to pass, when ye heard the voice from the midst of the darkness, and the mountain burned with fire, that ye came near to me, all the heads of your tribes, and your elders;
24 और तुमने मुझसे विनती की, “सुनिए, याहवेह, हमारे परमेश्वर ने हम पर अपना तेज, अपनी प्रभुता दिखा दी है, हमने आग के बीच से उनकी आवाज भी सुन ली है; आज हमने साक्षात देख लिया है, कि परमेश्वर मनुष्य से बातचीत करते हैं, फिर भी मनुष्य जीवित रह जाता है.
and ye said, Behold, Jehovah our God has shewn us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice from the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God talks with man, and he lives.
25 मगर अब, क्या यह ज़रूरी है कि हमारी मृत्यु हो? क्योंकि यह प्रचंड आग हमें चट करने पर है; अब यदि हमें याहवेह, हमारे परमेश्वर का स्वर और अधिक सुनना पड़ जाए, तो हमारी मृत्यु तय है.
And now, why should we die? for this great fire will consume us. If we hear the voice of Jehovah our God any more, we shall die.
26 क्योंकि, क्या यह कभी भी सुना गया है, कि किसी मनुष्य ने उस आग के बीच से जीवित परमेश्वर की आवाज सुनी हो, जिस प्रकार हमने सुनी और जीवित रह गया हो?
For who is there of all flesh, that has heard the voice of the living God speaking from the midst of the fire, as we, and has lived?
27 आप ही पास जाकर सुन लीजिए, कि याहवेह हमारे परमेश्वर क्या कह रहे हैं; इसके बाद यहां लौटकर हमारे सामने वह बात दोहरा दीजिए, जो याहवेह हमारे परमेश्वर ने आपसे वहां कही है, हम वह सब सुनकर उसका पालन करेंगे.”
Come thou near, and hear all that Jehovah our God will say; and speak thou to us all that Jehovah our God will speak to thee; and we will hear it, and do it.
28 याहवेह ने तुम्हारे द्वारा मेरे सामने रखा प्रस्ताव सुना, तब याहवेह ने मुझसे कहा, “मैंने इन लोगों द्वारा भेजा प्रस्ताव सुन लिया है, जो उन्होंने तुम्हारे सामने प्रस्तुत किया है. उनकी यह बात सही है.
And Jehovah heard the voice of your words, when ye spoke to me; and Jehovah said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people that have spoken to thee: they have well spoken all that they have spoken.
29 सही होगा कि उनमें ऐसी सच्चाई हो कि उनके हृदय में मेरे प्रति भय बना रहे, और वे हमेशा ही मेरे आदेशों का पालन करते रहें, कि उनका और उनकी संतान का सदा-सर्वदा भला ही होता रहे!
Oh that there were such a heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments continually, that it might be well with them and with their sons for ever!
30 “जाकर उन्हें आदेश दो, अपने-अपने शिविरों में लौट जाओ.
Go, say unto them, Get you into your tents again.
31 मगर तुम यहां मेरे ही पास खड़े रहो, कि मैं तुम्हारे सामने वे सभी आदेश, नियम और विधियां स्पष्ट कर सकूं, जिनकी तुम्हें उन्हें शिक्षा देनी है, कि वे इनका उस देश में जाकर पालन कर सकें, जिस देश मैं उन्हें अधिकार करने के लिए दे रहा हूं.”
But as for thee, stand thou here by me, and I will speak unto thee all the commandments, and the statutes, and the ordinances, which thou shalt teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it.
32 तब तुम सावधानीपूर्वक उन सभी आदेशों का पालन करोगे, जिसका आदेश याहवेह, तुम्हारे परमेश्वर ने दिया है; न तो तुम दाएं मुड़ोगे, न बाएं.
Take heed then to do as Jehovah your God hath commanded you: turn not aside to the right hand or to the left.
33 जो मार्ग याहवेह, तुम्हारे परमेश्वर ने तुम्हें दिखाया है, तुम सिर्फ उसी पर आगे बढ़ते जाओगे, कि तुम जीवित रह सको और तुम्हारा भला हो, कि तुम जिस देश पर अधिकार करोगे, उसमें तुम लंबी आयु के होते जाओ.
In all the way that Jehovah your God hath commanded you shall ye walk, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.
