व्यवस्था विवरण 29

1 याहवेह ने होरेब पर्वत पर दी हुई वाचा के अलावा मोआब देश में इस्राएलियों के साथ जिस वाचा की स्थापना का आदेश मोशेह को दिया था, उसका विस्तार यह है.

These are the words of the covenant which the LORD commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, besides the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.

2 मोशेह ने सारी इस्राएल का आह्वान कर उनसे कहा: याहवेह ने मिस्र देश में फ़रोह, उसके परिचारकों और पूरे देश के साथ जो कुछ किया, तुम उसके गवाह हो.

Moses called to all Israel, and said to them, You have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land;

3 खुद तुमने उन भीषण विपत्तियों को देखा है, वे अद्भुत चिन्ह और वे अलौकिक काम भी.

the great trials which your eyes saw, the signs, and those great wonders:

4 फिर भी आज तक याहवेह ने तुम्हें न तो समझने का मन, न देखने वाली आंखें और न सुनने के कान प्रदान किए हैं.

but the LORD has not given you a heart to know, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, to this day.

5 फिर भी याहवेह कहते हैं, “मैं तुम्हें चालीस साल तक इस निर्जन प्रदेश में साथ लेकर चलता रहा हूं, इस अवधि में न तो तुम्हारे वस्त्र पुराने हुए और न ही तुम्हारे जूते.

I have led you forty years in the wilderness. Your clothes have not worn out on you, and your shoes have not worn out on your feet.

6 आहार के लिए तुम्हें रोटी प्राप्‍त न हुई और न ही पेय के लिए अंगूरों का रस अथवा दाखमधु, कि तुम यह समझ सको कि मैं याहवेह ही तुम्हारा परमेश्वर हूं.”

You have not eaten bread, neither have you drunk wine or strong drink; that you may know that I am the LORD your God.

7 जब तुम इस स्थान तक पहुंचे, तब हेशबोन का राजा सीहोन और बाशान का राजा ओग, हमसे युद्ध के लक्ष्य से आ गए; मगर हमने उन्हें हरा दिया.

When you came to this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, came out against us to battle, and we struck them:

8 हमने उनका साम्राज्य अपने अधिकार में करके वह भूभाग रियूबेन गोत्र को, गाद गोत्र को और मनश्शेह गोत्र को मीरास में दे दिया.

and we took their land, and gave it for an inheritance to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half-tribe of the Manassites.

9 इसलिए इस वाचा के मर्म का पालन करने का ध्यान रखना, कि तुम अपने सारे कामों में समृद्ध होते चले जाओ.

Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that you may prosper in all that you do.

10 तुम सभी आज याहवेह अपने परमेश्वर की उपस्थिति में खड़े हुए हो—तुम्हारे प्रधान, तुम्हारे गोत्र, तुम्हारे पुरनिए और तुम्हारे अधिकारी और, पूरे इस्राएल की प्रजा,

You stand this day all of you before the LORD your God; your heads, your tribes, your elders, and your officers, even all the men of Israel,

11 तुम्हारे बालक, तुम्हारी पत्नियां और तुम्हारी छावनी में ठहरे विदेशी प्रवासी भी, जो तुम्हारे प्रयोग के लिए लकड़ी काटता है, और वह, जो तुम्हारे लिए जल भरता है.

your little ones, your wives, and your foreigner who is in the midst of your camps, from the one who cuts your wood to the one who draws your water;

12 आज तुम याहवेह अपने परमेश्वर के साथ वाचा स्थापित कर सको, उनकी प्रतिज्ञा में संयुक्त हो सको, जो याहवेह तुम्हारे परमेश्वर आज तुम्हारे साथ स्थापित कर रहे हैं,

that you may enter into the covenant of the LORD your God, and into his oath, which the LORD your God makes with you this day,

13 कि वह आज तुम्हें अपनी प्रजा के रूप में प्रतिष्ठित कर सके, कि वह तुम्हारे परमेश्वर हो सकें, ठीक जैसा वह तुम पर प्रकट कर चुके हैं, और जैसी प्रतिज्ञा वह तुम्हारे पूर्वज अब्राहाम, यित्सहाक और याकोब से कर चुके हैं.

so that he may establish you today as his people, and that he may your God, as he spoke to you and as he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

14 मैं आज यह वाचा की स्थापना और यह शपथ सिर्फ तुम्हीं से नहीं कर रहा हूं,

Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath,

15 बल्कि दोनों ही से, जो आज यहां याहवेह हमारे परमेश्वर की उपस्थिति में खड़े हुए हैं और उनसे भी, जो आज यहां उपस्थित नहीं हैं.

but with him who stands here with us this day before the LORD our God, and also with him who is not here with us this day

16 क्योंकि तुम्हें तो यह मालूम ही है कि मिस्र देश में हमारा जीवन किस प्रकार का था, और हम किस प्रकार के राष्ट्रों के बीच से होकर यहां पहुंचे हैं.

(for you know how we lived in the land of Egypt, and how we came through the midst of the nations through which you passed;

17 तुम तो उनकी घृणित प्रथाएं और उनकी उन मूर्तियों को देख चुके हो, जो लकड़ी, पत्थर, चांदी और सोने की हैं. वे उनकी जीवनशैली का अंग थी.

and you have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them);

18 ऐसा न हो कि तुम्हारे बीच कोई स्त्री, कोई पुरुष, कोई परिवार अथवा कोई गोत्र ऐसा है, जिसका हृदय याहवेह हमारे परमेश्वर से दूर हो उन राष्ट्रों के देवताओं की ओर लग चुका है. संभाल जा, कि तुम्हारे बीच में विषैले फल के वृक्ष नागदौन के मूल का अंकुरण न हो जाए.

lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turns away this day from the LORD our God, to go to serve the gods of those nations; lest there should be among you a root that bears gall and wormwood;

19 जब इस प्रकार का व्यक्ति इस शाप के विवरण पर विचार करेगा, वह अपने हृदय में खुद को बधाई देते हुए विचार करेगा, “मैं तो मनमानी करते हुए भी सुरक्षित ही रहूंगा!” इसके द्वारा वह व्यक्ति सिंचित भूमि और सूखी भूमि, दोनों ही पर विनाश ले आएगा.

and it happen, when he hears the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, "I shall have peace, though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart, to destroy the moist with the dry."

20 याहवेह उसे कभी भी क्षमा करना न चाहेंगे, परंतु याहवेह का कोप और उनकी जलन उस व्यक्ति के प्रति भड़क उठेगी और इस अभिलेख में लिखित हर एक शाप उस व्यक्ति पर प्रभावी हो जाएगा और याहवेह उस व्यक्ति का नाम ही आकाश के नीचे से मिटा देंगे.

God will not be willing to forgive him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy will burn against that man, and every curse that is written in this book shall rest on him, and the LORD will blot out his name from under heaven.

21 तब याहवेह इस्राएल के सारे गोत्रों में से सिर्फ उसे उन शापों के अनुसार, जो विधियां अभिलेख में लिखी हैं, आपदा के लिए नामित कर देंगे.

The LORD will set him apart to evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that is written in this book of the law.

22 तब वह पीढ़ी जो भावी है, तुम्हारी वह सन्तति, जो तुम्हारे बाद अस्तित्व में आएगी, और सुदूर देश के प्रवासी विदेशी जब इस देश पर आई हुई आपदाओं और व्याधियों को, जिन्हें याहवेह ने उन पर लायें हैं, देखेंगे.

The generation to come, your children who shall rise up after you, and the foreigner who shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses with which the LORD has made it sick;

23 पूरा देश गंधक और लवण में परिणत हो चुका है. यह अब प्रज्वलित उजाड़ क्षेत्र रह गया है. न इसमें रोपण किया जा सकता है, न इसमें किसी प्रकार की उपज की संभावना है, और न इस भूमि पर घास ही उगती है, ठीक सोदोम और अमोराह, अदमाह और ज़ेबोईम के विध्वंस के समान, जिनका विनाश याहवेह ने अपने कोप और आक्रोश में किया था.

and that the whole land of it is sulfur, salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor bears, nor any grass grows in it, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:

24 सारी जनताओं के सामने यही प्रश्न होगा: “क्यों किया है याहवेह ने यह सब इस देश के साथ? क्या कारण है इस कोप के उद्वेग का?”

even all the nations shall say, "Why has the LORD done thus to this land? What does the heat of this great anger mean?"

25 तब लोग उत्तर देंगे, “उन्होंने याहवेह, उनके पूर्वजों के परमेश्वर से स्थापित वाचा भंग कर दी थी, जिसकी स्थापना याहवेह ने उस अवसर पर की थी, जब उन्होंने इस्राएलियों को मिस्र देश से निर्गत किया था.

Then men shall say, "Because they forsook the covenant of the LORD, the God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt,

26 उन्होंने विमुख होकर परकीय देवताओं की सेवा-उपासना शुरू कर दी. ये वे देवता थे जिन्हें इन्होंने पहले कभी न जाना था, जिन्हें याहवेह ने इन्हें कभी सौंपा ही न था.

and went and served other gods, and worshiped them, gods that they did not know, and that he had not given to them:

27 इसलिये याहवेह का कोप इस देश पर उद्दीप्‍त हो उठा, और इस अभिलेख में उल्लेखित हर एक शाप उन पर प्रभावी हो गया.

therefore the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, to bring on it all the curse that is written in this book;

28 तब याहवेह ने अपने कोप और आक्रोश और उग्र क्रोध में उन्हें इस देश से उन्मूलित कर दिया है, और उन्हें अन्य देश में बिखरा दिया है, जैसा कि आज स्पष्ट ही है.”

and the LORD rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as at this day."

29 गुप्‍त बात याहवेह हमारे परमेश्वर की हैं, मगर वे बात, जो प्रकट हैं, चिरकाल के लिए हमारे और हमारी सन्तति के लिए नियत हैं, कि हम इस विधान के मर्म का पालन कर सकें.

The secret things belong to the LORD our God; but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.
