दानिय्येल 9
1 (मेदिया वंश) के अहषवेरोष के पुत्र दारयावेश को बाबेलवासियों के राज्य का शासक ठहराया गया था.
In the first year of Darius son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, —who was made king over the kingdom of the Chaldeans:
2 उसके राज्य के पहले साल, मैं, दानिएल, ग्रंथों से, येरेमियाह भविष्यवक्ता को दिये गये याहवेह के वचन के अनुसार यह समझ गया कि येरूशलेम की निर्जनता सत्तर वर्षों तक रहेगी.
in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, perceived by the writings, —the number of the years, as to which the word of Yahweh came unto Jeremiah the prophet, to fulfil the desolations of Jerusalem, seventy years.
3 अतः मैं टाट का वस्त्र पहने, राख लगाये, उपवास करते हुए प्रभु परमेश्वर से गिड़गिड़ाकर प्रार्थना और याचना करने लगा.
So I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek [him] by prayer, and supplication, —with fasting, and sackcloth and ashes;
4 मैंने याहवेह, अपने परमेश्वर से इस प्रकार प्रार्थना की और अपने पापों को माना: “हे प्रभु, महान और अद्भुत परमेश्वर, आप उनके साथ अपने प्रेम की वाचा को बनाए रखते हैं, जो आपसे प्रेम करते और आपकी आज्ञाओं को मानते हैं,
yea I prayed unto Yahweh my God, and made confession, —and said—I beseech thee, O Lord, the GOD great and to be revered, keeping the covenant and the lovingkindness, to them who love him, and to them who keep his commandments.
5 हमने पाप और गलत काम किए हैं. हमने बुरे काम करके विद्रोह किया है; हमने आपकी आज्ञाओं और कानूनों को नहीं माना है.
We have sinned and committed iniquity, and been guilty of lawlessness and been rebellious, —even departing from thy commandments, and from thy regulations;
6 हमने आपके उन सेवक भविष्यवक्ताओं की बातों को नहीं सुना, जिन्होंने आपके नाम से हमारे राजाओं, हमारे राजकुमारों और हमारे पूर्वजों, और देश के सारे लोगों से बातें की.
and have not hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, who spake in thy name, unto our kings, our rulers, and our fathers, —and unto all the people of the land.
7 “हे प्रभु, आप धर्मी हैं, परंतु आज हम बहुत लज्जित हैं—यहूदिया के लोग, येरूशलेम के निवासी और सब इस्राएली, जो पास और दूर हैं, हमारे विश्वासघात के कारण आपने उन्हें सब देशों में तितर-बितर कर दिया है.
To thee, O Lord, belongeth righteousness, but, to us, the shame of faces, as at this day, —to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, the near and the far off, throughout all the lands whither thou hast driven them, in their treachery, wherewith they had been treacherous against thee.
8 हे याहवेह, हम और हमारे राजा, हमारे राजकुमार और हमारे पूर्वज बहुत लज्जित हैं, क्योंकि हमने आपके विरुद्ध पाप किया है.
O Yahweh, to us, belongeth the shame of faces, to our kings, to our rulers, and to our fathers, —in that we have sinned against thee.
9 यद्यपि हमने आपके विरुद्ध विद्रोह किया है, तो भी हे प्रभु हमारे परमेश्वर, आप दयालु और क्षमा-शील हैं;
To the Lord our God, belong compassions, and forgivenesses, —for we have rebelled against him;
10 हमने याहवेह हमारे परमेश्वर की बातों को नहीं माना है या उन कानूनों का पालन नहीं किया है, जिसे उन्होंने अपने सेवक भविष्यवक्ताओं के ज़रिए हमें दिया था.
and have not hearkened unto the voice of Yahweh our God, —to walk in his instructions which he set before us, through means of his servants the prophets;
11 सारे इस्राएल ने आपके कानून का उल्लंघन किया है और आपकी बातों को मानने के बदले उससे दूर हट गये हैं. “इसलिये परमेश्वर के सेवक, मोशेह के कानून में लिखित शाप और ठहराया गया दंड हमारे ऊपर उंडेल दिया गया है, क्योंकि हमने आपके विरुद्ध पाप किया है.
yea, all Israel, have transgressed thy law, even going away, so as not to hearken unto thy voice, —therefore, were poured out upon us, the curse and the oath which had been written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we had sinned against him.
12 आपने हमारे ऊपर बड़ी विपत्ति लाकर हमारे और हमारे शासकों के विरुद्ध कहे गये वचन को आपने पूरा किया है. आकाश के नीचे सारी पृथ्वी पर ऐसी विपत्ति और कहीं नहीं पड़ी, जैसी विपत्ति येरूशलेम में पड़ी है.
Thus hath he confirmed his words which he had spoken against us, and against our judges who had judged us, by bringing in upon us a great calamity, —as to which there had not been done, under all the heavens, as hath been done unto Jerusalem.
13 जैसा कि मोशेह के कानून में लिखा है, ये सारी विपत्ति हम पर आ पड़ी है, फिर भी हमने न तो याहवेह हमारे परमेश्वर का अनुग्रह पाने का यत्न किया है, और न ही अपने पापों को छोड़कर आपकी सच्चाई पर ध्यान दिया है.
Even as written in the law of Moses, hath, all this calamity, come in upon us, —yet entreated we not the face of Yahweh our God, by turning away from our iniquities, and by getting intelligence in thy truth.
14 इसलिये याहवेह हमारे ऊपर विपत्ति लाने में नहीं हिचकिचाये, क्योंकि याहवेह हमारे परमेश्वर जो कुछ भी करते हैं, उन सब बातों में वे धर्मीपन दिखाते हैं; तौभी हमने उनकी बातों को नहीं माना.
Therefore hath Yahweh, kept watch, for the calamity, and brought it in upon us, —for righteous is Yahweh our God concerning all his deeds which he hath done, seeing that we had not hearkened unto his voice.
15 “और अब, हे प्रभु, हमारे परमेश्वर, जिसने अपने बलवान हाथ से अपने लोगों को मिस्र देश से निकाल लाया और अपने लिये एक नाम स्थापित किया, जो आज तक बना हुआ है, परंतु हमने पाप किया है, हमने दुष्टता ही की है.
Now, therefore, O Lord our God, who didst bring forth thy people out of the land of Egypt with a firm hand, and didst make for thyself a name, as at this day, —we have sinned, we have been guilty of lawlessness.
16 हे प्रभु, आप अपने सारे धर्मी कामों को ध्यान में रखते हुए, अपने क्रोध और कोप को येरूशलेम शहर से दूर करिये, जो आपका शहर और आपका पवित्र पर्वत है. हमारे पापों और हमारे पूर्वजों के अपराधों ने येरूशलेम और आपके लोगों को उन सबके सामने उपेक्षा का पात्र बना दिया है, जो हमारे आस-पास रहते हैं.
O Lord! according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thine indignation turn away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain, —for, by reason of our sins, and by reason of the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people, have become a reproach, to all who are round about us.
17 “अब, हे हमारे परमेश्वर, अपने सेवक की प्रार्थना और विनती को सुनिये. हे प्रभु, अपने हित में, अपने उजड़े हुए पवित्र स्थान पर कृपादृष्टि कीजिये.
Now, therefore, hearken, O our God, unto the prayer of thy servant, and unto his supplications, and let thy face shine, upon thy sanctuary, that is desolate, —for the sake of thy servants, O Lord.
18 हे हमारे परमेश्वर, कान लगाकर सुनिये और आंख खोलकर उजड़े हुए उस शहर को देखिये, जो आपके नाम से जाना जाता है. हम इसलिये विनती नहीं कर रहे हैं कि हम धर्मी हैं, पर इसलिये कि आप बड़े दयालु हैं.
Incline, O my God, thine ear, and hearken, open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city on which hath been called thy name; for, not on the ground of our own righteousnesses, are we causing our supplications to fall down before thee, but on the ground of thine abounding compassions.
19 हे प्रभु, सुन लीजिए! हे प्रभु, क्षमा कर दीजिए! हे प्रभु, सुनिए और करिये! हे मेरे परमेश्वर, अपने ही हित में, विलंब न कीजिए, क्योंकि आपका शहर और आपके लोग आपके नाम से जाने जाते हैं.”
O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, hearken and perform! Do not delay! For thine own sake, O my God, because, thine own name, hath been called, upon thy city, and upon thy people.
20 जब मैं अपने पाप और अपने इस्राएली लोगों के पाप को मानते हुए बात और प्रार्थना कर रहा था और याहवेह मेरे परमेश्वर के सामने उसके पवित्र पर्वत के लिये विनती कर रहा था—
And, while yet I was speaking, and praying, and confessing mine own sin, and the sin of my people Israel, —and causing my supplication to fall down before Yahweh my God, concerning the holy mountain of my God;
21 जब मैं प्रार्थना में ही था, तब गब्रिएल, जिसे मैं पहले दर्शन में देख चुका था, शाम के बलिदान के समय तेज गति से मेरे पास आया.
while yet I was speaking in prayer, then, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in vision at the beginning, wearied with rapid flight, touched me, about the time of the evening present.
22 उसने निर्देश देकर मुझसे कहा, “हे दानिएल, मैं तुम्हें अंतर्दृष्टि और समझने की शक्ति देने आया हूं.
Yea he came, and spake with me, —and said—O Daniel! now, have I come forth, to teach thee understanding.
23 जब तुमने प्रार्थना करना शुरू किया, तभी एक आज्ञा दी गई, जिसे मैं तुम्हें बताने आया हूं, क्योंकि तुम बहुत सम्मानीय व्यक्ति हो. इसलिये इन बातों पर विचार करके दर्शन को समझ लो:
At the beginning of thy supplications, came forth a word, I, therefore, am arrived to tell, because, a man delighted in, thou art, —mark then the word, and have understanding in the revelation: —
24 “तुम्हारे लोगों और तुम्हारे पवित्र शहर के लिए सत्तर ‘सात’ ठहराए गये हैं कि वे अपराध करना छोड़ दें, पापों का अंत कर दें, दुष्टता का प्रायश्चित करें, अपने में सदाकाल का धर्मीपन लाएं, दर्शन और भविष्यवाणी की बातों पर मुहर लगाई जाए और परम पवित्र स्थान का अभिषेक किया जाए.
Seventy weeks, have been divided concerning thy people and concerning thy holy city—to put an end to the transgression, and fill up the measure of sin, and put a propitiatory-covering over iniquity, and bring in the righteousness of ages, and affix a seal the vision and prophecy, and anoint the holy of holies.
25 “इस बात को जानो और समझ लो: येरूशलेम के फिर से स्थापित और पुनर्निर्माण के लिये वचन के निकलने से लेकर अभिषिक्त जन, शासक के आने तक सात ‘सात’ और बासठ ‘सात’ का समय ठहराया गया है. इसका पुनर्निर्माण गलियों और एक खाई के साथ होगा, किंतु यह कठिन समय में होगा.
Thou must know, then, and understand: From the going forth of the word to restore and to build Jerusalem—unto the Anointed One, the Prince, [shall be] seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks, —the broadway and the wall, shall again be built, even in the end of the times.
26 बासठ ‘सात’ के बाद अभिषिक्त जन मार डाला जाएगा, और कुछ न होगा. शासन करनेवाले के लोग आकर शहर और पवित्र स्थान को नष्ट कर देंगे. बाढ़ के समान अंत आ जाएगा: अंत तक युद्ध होता रहेगा, और उजाड़ का निर्णय लिया जा चुका है.
And, after the sixty-two weeks, shall the Anointed One, be cut off, and have, nothing, —and, the city and the sanctuary, will one destroy with the Prince, and so will his own end come with an overwhelming flood, howbeit, up to the full end of the war, are decreed astounding things.
27 वह बहुतों के साथ एक ‘सात’ के लिये एक वाचा की पुष्टि करेगा. ‘सात’ के बीच में ही, वह बलिदान और भेंट का अंत कर देगा. और मंदिर में एक विनाशकारी घृणित वस्तु को स्थापित करेगा, जो उजाड़ का कारण होगा. यह तब तक होता रहेगा, जब तक कि ठहराये गए समय के अंत में उस पर यह विनाश न उंडेल दिया जाए.”
And he will confirm a covenant to the many, for one week, —but, in the middle of the week, will cause sacrifice and present to cease, and, in his stead, [shall be] the horrid abomination that astoundeth, even till, a full end, and that a decreed one, shall be poured out on him that astoundeth.
