1 एक दिन नवें घंटे पर, जो प्रार्थना का निर्धारित समय था, पेतरॉस और योहन मंदिर जा रहे थे.
Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, [being] the ninth [hour].
2 उसी समय जन्म से अपंग एक व्यक्ति को भी वहां ले जाया जा रहा था, जिसे प्रतिदिन मंदिर के ओरियन अर्थात् सुंदर नामक द्वार पर छोड़ दिया जाता था कि वह वहां प्रवेश करते व्यक्तियों से भिक्षा विनती कर सके.
And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
3 पेतरॉस और योहन को प्रवेश करते देख उसने उनसे भीख मांगी.
Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.
4 पेतरॉस तथा योहन ने उसकी ओर सीधे, एकटक देखते हुए कहा, “हमारी ओर देखो.”
And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
5 उनसे कुछ पाने की आशा में वह उन्हें ताकने लगा.
And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
6 पेतरॉस ने उससे कहा, “चांदी और सोना तो मेरे पास है नहीं किंतु मैं तुम्हें वह देता हूं, जो मेरे पास है: नाज़रेथ के मसीह येशु के नाम में स्वस्थ हो जाओ और चलने लगो.”
Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
7 यह कहते हुए उन्होंने उसका दायां हाथ पकड़कर उसे उठाया. उसी क्षण उसके पांवों तथा टखनों में बल-संचार हुआ,
And he took him by the right hand, and lifted [him] up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8 वह उछलकर खड़ा हो गया और चलने लगा. उसने उनके साथ चलते, उछलते-कूदते, परमेश्वर का गुणगान करते हुए मंदिर में प्रवेश किया.
And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
9 वहां सभी ने उसे चलते फिरते और परमेश्वर का गुणगान करते हुए देखा.
And all the people saw him walking and praising God:
10 यह जानकर कि यह वही भिक्षुक है, जो मंदिर के सुंदर नामक द्वार पर बैठा करता था, वे उसमें यह परिवर्तन देख अचंभित और चकित रह गए.
And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.
11 वह पेतरॉस और योहन का साथ छोड़ ही नहीं रहा था. वहां उपस्थित चकित भीड़ दौड़ती हुई उनके पास आकर शलोमोन के ओसारे में इकट्ठी होने लगी.
And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.
12 यह देख पेतरॉस, उन्हें संबोधित कर कहने लगे: “इस्राएली बंधुओं, आप इस व्यक्ति या हम पर इतने चकित क्यों हैं? हमें ऐसे क्यों देख रहे हैं मानो हमने ही इसे अपने सामर्थ्य और भक्ति के द्वारा चलने योग्य बनाया है?
And when Peter saw [it], he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?
13 अब्राहाम, यित्सहाक और याकोब के परमेश्वर, हमारे पूर्वजों के परमेश्वर ने अपने सेवक मसीह येशु को गौरवान्वित किया, जिन्हें आप लोगों ने अस्वीकार करते हुए पिलातॉस के हाथों में सौंप दिया—जबकि पिलातॉस ने उन्हें छोड़ देने का निश्चय कर लिया था.
The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let [him] go.
14 आप लोगों ने एक पवित्र और धर्मी व्यक्ति को अस्वीकार कर एक हत्यारे को छुड़ा देने की विनती की.
But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;
15 तथा आपने जीवन के रचनेवाले को मार डाला, जिन्हें परमेश्वर ने मरे हुओं में से जीवित कर दिया. हम इसके प्रत्यक्ष साक्षी हैं.
And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
16 मसीह येशु के नाम में विश्वास के कारण इस व्यक्ति में, जिसे आप जानते हैं, जिसे आप इस समय देख रहे हैं, बल-संचार हुआ है. यह व्यक्ति मसीह येशु के नाम में सशक्त किया गया और मसीह येशु में विश्वास के द्वारा पूरे रूप से स्वस्थ हुआ है, जैसा कि आप स्वयं देख सकते हैं.
And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
17 “प्रियजन, मैं यह जानता हूं कि आपने मसीह येशु के विरुद्ध यह सब अज्ञानता के कारण किया है, ठीक जैसा आपके शासकों ने भी किया था.
And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did [it], as [did] also your rulers.
18 किंतु परमेश्वर ने सभी भविष्यद्वक्ताओं के द्वारा यह पहले से ही घोषणा कर दी थी कि उनके मसीह के लिए यह यातना निर्धारित है. यह उसी की पूर्ति है.
But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.
19 इसलिये पश्चाताप कीजिए, परमेश्वर की ओर मन फिराइए कि आपके पाप मिटा दिए जाएं, जिसके फलस्वरूप प्रभु की ओर से आपके लिए विश्राम और शांति का समय आ जाए
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
20 और वह मसीह येशु को, जो आपके लिए पहले से ठहराए गए मसीह हैं, भेज दें,
And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
21 जिनका स्वर्ग के द्वारा स्वीकार किया जाना निश्चित है, जब तक परमेश्वर द्वारा हर एक वस्तु की पुनःस्थापना का समय न आ जाए, जिसकी प्रतिज्ञा परमेश्वर ने प्राचीन काल में अपने भविष्यद्वक्ताओं के माध्यम से की थी. (aiōn g165)
Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. (aiōn g165)
22 मोशेह ने यह घोषणा की थी: ‘प्रभु, तुम्हारे परमेश्वर, तुम्हारे बीच में, तुम्हारे ही लोगों में से तुम्हारे लिए मेरे समान एक भविष्यवक्ता को उठाएंगे. तुम उसी के आदेशों का पालन करोगे.
For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
23 तथा हर एक, जो उसके आदेशों को अनसुना करे, तुम्हारे बीच से पूरी तरह नाश कर दिया जाए.’
And it shall come to pass, [that] every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.
24 “शमुएल भविष्यवक्ता से लेकर उनके बादवाले सभी भविष्यद्वक्ताओं द्वारा भी इन्हीं दिनों के विषय में घोषणा की गई है.
Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.
25 तुम सब उन भविष्यद्वक्ताओं तथा उस वाचा की संतान हो, जिसकी स्थापना परमेश्वर ने हमारे पूर्वजों के साथ अब्राहाम से यह कहते हुए की थी.
Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.
26 परमेश्वर ने अपने सेवक को मरे हुओं में से उठाकर सबसे पहले तुम्हारे पास भेज दिया कि वह तुममें से प्रत्येक को तुम्हारी बुराइयों से फेरकर आशीष प्रदान करें.”
Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
