प्रेरितों के काम 15
1 कुछ व्यक्ति यहूदिया प्रदेश से अंतियोख़ नगर आकर प्रभु के शिष्यों को यह शिक्षा देने लगे, “मोशेह की व्यवस्था के अनुसार यदि तुम्हारा ख़तना न हो तो तुम्हारा उद्धार असंभव है.”
AND certain persons coming down from Judea taught the brethren, That if ye are not circumcised according to the ordinances of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
2 इस विषय में पौलॉस और बारनबास का उनके साथ गहरा मतभेद हो गया और उनमें उग्र विवाद छिड़ गया. तब एक मत होकर यह निश्चय किया गया कि पौलॉस और बारनबास को कुछ अन्य शिष्यों के साथ इस विषय पर विचार-विमर्श के उद्देश्य से प्रेरितों और पुरनियों के पास येरूशलेम भेज दिया जाए.
There being therefore no small contention and dispute maintained by Paul and Barnabas against them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain others of their body, should go up to the apostles and presbyters at Jerusalem, for the decision of this question.
3 कलीसिया ने उन्हें विदा किया. तब वे फ़ॉयनिके तथा शमरिया प्रदेशों से होते हुए आगे बढ़े और वहां भी गैर-यहूदियों द्वारा मसीह को स्वीकार किए जाने का विस्तृत वर्णन करते गए जिससे सभी शिष्यों में अपार हर्ष की लहर दौड़ गई.
They therefore being sent on their way by the church, passed through Phoenicia and Samaria, giving a particular narrative of the conversion of the Gentiles: and they gave great joy to all the brethren.
4 उनके येरूशलेम पहुंचने पर कलीसिया, प्रेरितों तथा पुरनियों ने उनका स्वागत किया. पौलॉस और बारनबास ने उन्हें उन सभी कामों का विवरण दिया, जो परमेश्वर ने उनके माध्यम से किए थे.
Then when they arrived at Jerusalem, they were cordially received by the church, and the apostles and presbyters, and they related how great things God had done by them.
5 किंतु फ़रीसी संप्रदाय से निकलकर आए कुछ विश्वासी विरोध में कहने लगे, “आवश्यक है कि गैर-यहूदियों का ख़तना हो और उन्हें मोशेह की व्यवस्था का पालन करने का निर्देश दिया जाए.”
But up rose some of the pharisaical sect, who professed the faith, insisting, That it was necessary to circumcise them, and to enjoin them to observe the law of Moses.
6 प्रेरित तथा प्राचीन इस विषय पर विचार-विमर्श के उद्देश्य से इकट्ठा हुए.
Then the apostles and presbyters were assembled to consider of this matter.
7 एक लंबे विचार-विमर्श के बाद पेतरॉस खड़े हुए और उन्होंने सभा को संबोधित करते हुए कहा, “प्रियजन, आपको यह मालूम ही है कि कुछ समय पहले परमेश्वर ने यह सही समझा कि गैर-यहूदी मेरे द्वारा ईश्वरीय सुसमाचार सुनें और विश्वास करें.
When after much dispute, Peter arose, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know that a considerable time ago God chose among us, by my mouth, that the Gentiles should hear the gospel-word, and believe.
8 मनों को जांचनेवाले परमेश्वर ने ठीक हमारे जैसे उन्हें भी पवित्र आत्मा प्रदान करके इसकी गवाही दी.
And God, who is the discerner of the heart, bore them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as to us;
9 उन्होंने उनके हृदय विश्वास द्वारा शुद्ध करके हमारे और उनके बीच कोई भेद न रहने दिया.
and made no difference betwixt either us or them, purifying their hearts by faith.
10 इसलिये अब तुम लोग इन शिष्यों की गर्दन पर वह जूआ रखकर परमेश्वर को क्यों परख रहे हो, जिसे न तो हम और न हमारे पूर्वज ही उठा पाए?
Why then now tempt ye God, by imposing a yoke on the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11 हमारा विश्वास तो यह है कि प्रभु येशु मसीह के अनुग्रह के द्वारा हमारा उद्धार ठीक वैसे ही हुआ है जैसे उनका.”
But we believe that we shall be saved by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, in the same way as they.
12 बारनबास और पौलॉस के भाषण को सभा के सभी सदस्य चुपचाप सुन रहे थे कि परमेश्वर ने किस प्रकार उनके माध्यम से गैर-यहूदियों के बीच अद्भुत चिह्न दिखाए हैं.
Then the whole multitude kept silence, and listened to Barnabas and Paul, relating how great signs and miracles God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
13 उनके भाषण के खत्म होने पर याकोब ने सभा को संबोधित किया, “प्रियजन, मेरा विचार यह है:
Now when they ceased speaking, James replied, saying, Men and brethren, hear me:
14 शिमओन ने इस बात की ओर हमारा ध्यान आकर्षित किया है कि प्रारंभ में परमेश्वर ने किस प्रकार गैर-यहूदियों में से अपने लिए प्रजा का निर्माण करने में रुचि प्रकट की है.
Simon hath fully related, how at first God graciously looked upon the Gentiles, to take from them a people for his name.
15 भविष्यद्वक्ताओं के अभिलेख भी इसका समर्थन करते हैं, जैसा कि लिखा है:
And in accord with this are the words of the prophets; as it is written,
16 “‘इन घटनाओं के बाद मैं लौट आऊंगा और दावीद के ध्वस्त मंडप को दोबारा बनाऊंगा. और खंडहरों को दोबारा बनाकर फिर खड़ा करूंगा,
“After this will I return, and build again the tabernacle of David, that is fallen; and re-edify what hath been dug up from the foundation, and will set it upright again:
17 जिससे शेष मानव जाति परमेश्वर को पा सके, तथा वे सभी गैर-यहूदी भी, जिन पर मेरे नाम की छाप लगी है.’ यह उन्हीं प्रभु की आवाज है,
that the residue of men may diligently seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles, among whom my name is invoked, even among them, saith the Lord, who doth all these things.”
Known unto God from the beginning are all his works. (aiōn g165)
19 “इसलिये मेरा फैसला यह है, कि हम उन गैर-यहूदियों के लिए कोई कठिनाई उत्पन्न न करें, जो परमेश्वर की ओर फिर रहे हैं.
Therefore I am decided, that we give no unnecessary disquietude to those who from the heathen have turned to God:
20 परंतु अच्छा यह होगा कि हम उन्हें यह आज्ञा लिख भेजें कि वे मूर्तियों की अशुद्धता से खुद को बचाए रखें, वेश्यागामी तथा गला घोंट कर मारे गए पशुओं के मांस से दूर रहें और लहू का सेवन न करें.
but that we write to them, that they abstain from pollutions of idol sacrifices, and from whoredom, and from what is strangled, and from blood.
21 याद रहे: यह मोशेह के उसी व्यवस्था के अनुरूप है जिसका वाचन पूर्वकाल से हर एक शब्बाथ पर यहूदी सभागृहों में किया जाता है.”
For Moses for ages past in every city hath those who preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath-day.
22 इसलिये सारी कलीसिया के साथ प्रेरितों और पुरनियों को यह सही लगा कि अपने ही बीच से कुछ व्यक्तियों को चुनकर पौलॉस तथा बारनबास के साथ अंतियोख़ नगर भेज दिया जाए. उन्होंने इसके लिए यहूदाह, जिसे बारसब्बास नाम से भी जाना जाता है तथा सीलास को चुन लिया. ये उनके बीच प्रधान माने जाते थे.
Then it was determined by the apostles and presbyters with the whole church, to send select men from themselves unto Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, leading men among the brethren;
23 उनके हाथ से भेजा पत्र यह था: प्रेरितों, पुरनियों तथा भाइयों की ओर से: अंतियोख़, सीरिया तथा किलिकिया प्रदेश के गैर-यहूदी विश्वासियो, आप सभी को नमस्कार!
writing a letter by their hand, in these words: The apostles and presbyters and the brethren, to the brethren from among the Gentiles which are at Antioch, and in Syria, and Cilicia, greeting:
24 हमें यह मालूम हुआ है कि हमारे ही मध्य से कुछ बाहरी व्यक्तियों ने अपनी बातों के द्वारा तुम्हारे मनों को विचलित कर दिया है.
Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain persons who went out from us have disturbed you with discourses, unsettling your minds, insisting, that you should be circumcised, and observe the law: to whom we gave no such charge:
25 अतः हमने एक मत से हमारे प्रिय मित्र बारनबास तथा पौलॉस के साथ कुछ व्यक्तियों को तुम्हारे पास भेजना सही समझा.
it hath seemed fit to us, assembled unanimously, to send unto you select men with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
26 ये वे हैं, जिन्होंने हमारे प्रभु येशु मसीह के लिए अपने प्राणों का जोखिम उठाया है.
men who have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
27 इसलिये हम यहूदाह और सीलास को तुम्हारे पास भेज रहे हैं कि तुम स्वयं उन्हीं के मुख से इस विषय को सुन सको
We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, and they by word of mouth will tell you the same things.
28 क्योंकि पवित्र आत्मा तथा स्वयं हमें यह सही लगा कि इन आवश्यक बातों के अलावा तुम पर और कोई बोझ न लादा जाए:
For it hath seemed good to the Holy Ghost and to us, to lay upon you no other burden except these things which are of absolute necessity;
29 मूर्तियों को चढ़ाए गए भोजन, लहू, गला घोंट कर मारे गए जीवों के मांस के सेवन से तथा वेश्यागामी से परे रहो. यही तुम्हारे लिए उत्तम है. सबको शुभेच्छा!
that ye abstain from eating whatever is sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from what is strangled, and from whoredom: from which things carefully preserving yourselves, ye shall do well. Farewell.
30 वहां से निकलकर वे अंतियोख़ नगर पहुंचे और उन्होंने वहां कलीसिया को इकट्ठा कर वह पत्र उन्हें सौंप दिया.
They then being thus dispatched, came to Antioch: and assembling the multitude, they delivered the letter:
31 पत्र के पढ़े जाने पर उसके उत्साह बढ़ानेवाले संदेश से वे बहुत आनंदित हुए.
and when they had read it, they rejoiced in the consolation of it.
32 यहूदाह तथा सीलास ने, जो स्वयं भविष्यवक्ता थे, तत्वपूर्ण बातों के द्वारा शिष्यों को प्रोत्साहित और स्थिर किया.
Then Judas and Silas, being also themselves prophets, exhorted the brethren, in many a discourse, and established them.
33 उनके कुछ समय वहां ठहरने के बाद उन्होंने उन्हें दोबारा शांतिपूर्वक उन्हीं के पास भेज दिया, जिन्होंने उन्हें यहां भेजा था. [
And having stayed their time, they were dismissed in peace from the brethren to the apostles.
34 किंतु सीलास को वहीं ठहरे रहना सही लगा.]
However Silas thought proper to abide there.
35 पौलॉस और बारनबास अंतियोख़ नगर में ही अन्य अनेकों के साथ प्रभु के वचन की शिक्षा देते तथा प्रचार करते रहे.
Paul also and Barnabas abode at Antioch, teaching and preaching, with many others also, the word of the Lord.
36 कुछ दिन बाद पौलॉस ने बारनबास से कहा, “आइए, हम ऐसे हर एक नगर में जाएं जिसमें हमने प्रभु के वचन का प्रचार किया है और वहां शिष्यों की आत्मिक स्थिति का जायज़ा लें.”
Then after certain days said Paul to Barnabas, Let us now return and visit our brethren in every city among whom we have preached the word of the Lord, that we may see how they hold on.
37 बारनबास की इच्छा थी कि वह योहन को, जिनका उपनाम मार्कास भी था, अपने साथ ले चलें
Now Barnabas had resolved to take with him John, whose surname is Mark.
38 किंतु पौलॉस बलपूर्वक कहते रहे कि उन्हें साथ न लिया जाए क्योंकि वह पम्फ़ूलिया नगर में उनका साथ और काम अधूरा छोड़ चले गए थे.
But Paul did not think him a fit person to take with them, who had withdrawn from them from Pamphylia, and no longer went with them to the service.
39 इस विषय को लेकर उनमें ऐसा कठोर विवाद हुआ कि वे एक दूसरे से अलग हो गए. बारनबास मार्कास को लेकर सैप्रस चले गए.
So there grew up a sudden quarrel, insomuch that they separated from each other: and Barnabas, taking Mark with him, sailed away to Cyprus:
40 शिष्यों द्वारा प्रभु के अनुग्रह में सौंपे जाकर पौलॉस ने सीलास को साथ ले यात्रा प्रारंभ की.
but Paul selecting Silas, departed, being commended by the brethren to the favour of God.
41 वे सीरिया तथा किलिकिया प्रदेशों से होते हुए कलीसियाओं को स्थिर करते आगे बढ़ते गए.
And he passed through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.
