2 शमूएल 24
1 इस्राएल के विरुद्ध याहवेह का क्रोध एक बार फिर भड़क उठा. उन्होंने दावीद को ही इस्राएल के विरुद्ध कर दिया. उन्होंने दावीद को उकसाया, “इस्राएल और यहूदिया की गिनती करो.”
and to add: again face: anger LORD to/for to be incensed in/on/with Israel and to incite [obj] David in/on/with them to/for to say to go: went to count [obj] Israel and [obj] Judah
2 तब राजा ने सेना के आदेशक योआब और उनके सहयोगियों को आदेश दिया, “दान से लेकर बेअरशेबा तक जाकर इस्राएल के सारे गोत्रों की जनगणना करो, कि मुझे जनसंख्या का पता चल सके.”
and to say [the] king to(wards) Joab ruler [the] strength: soldiers which with him to rove please in/on/with all tribe Israel from Dan and till Beersheba Beersheba and to reckon: list [obj] [the] people and to know [obj] number [the] people
3 मगर योआब ने राजा से कहा, “जब तक आपकी आंखों में ज्योति है, याहवेह आपके परमेश्वर वर्तमान जनसंख्या की सौ गुणा वृद्धि करें, मगर महाराज, मेरे स्वामी, ऐसा करना क्यों चाह रहे हैं?”
and to say Joab to(wards) [the] king and to add LORD God your to(wards) [the] people like/as them and like/as them hundred beat and eye lord my [the] king to see: see and lord my [the] king to/for what? to delight in in/on/with word: thing [the] this
4 मगर राजा के आदेश के आगे योआब और अन्य प्रधानों का तर्क विफल ही रहा. तब योआब और सेना के प्रधान संसद भवन से निकलकर इस्राएल की जनगणना के लिए चल पड़े.
and to strengthen: prevail over word [the] king to(wards) Joab and upon ruler [the] strength: soldiers and to come out: come Joab and ruler [the] strength: soldiers to/for face: before [the] king to/for to reckon: list [obj] [the] people [obj] Israel
5 उन्होंने यरदन नदी पार कर अरोअर नामक स्थान पर शिविर डाले. यह स्थान याज़र की ओर, गाद की तराई के बीच में है.
and to pass [obj] [the] Jordan and to camp in/on/with Aroer right: south [the] city which in/on/with midst [the] torrent: valley [the] Gad and to(wards) Jazer
6 इसके बाद वे गिलआद आ गए, और हित्तियों के क्षेत्र के कादेश में तब वे दान यअन पहुंचे. दान यअन के बाद वे सीदोन के निकट जा पहुंचे.
and to come (in): come [the] Gilead [to] and to(wards) land: country/planet Kadesh Kadesh and to come (in): come Dan [to] Jaan and around to(wards) Sidon
7 फिर वे सोर के गढ़ पहुंचे, जहां से उन्होंने हिव्वियों और कनानियों के सभी नगरों में गिनती पूरी की. इसके बाद वे बेअरशेबा में यहूदिया के नेगेव पहुंचे.
and to come (in): come fortification Tyre and all city [the] Hivite and [the] Canaanite and to come out: come to(wards) Negeb Judah Beersheba Beersheba
8 जब वे संपूर्ण देश में गिनती का काम पूरा कर चुके, वे येरूशलेम आ गए. अब तक नौ महीने और बीस दिन पूरे हो चुके थे.
and to rove in/on/with all [the] land: country/planet and to come (in): come from end nine month and twenty day Jerusalem
9 योआब ने राजा के सामने राज्य की जनगणना का लेखा प्रस्तुत किया: इस्राएल में आठ लाख वीर योद्धा थे, और यहूदिया में पांच लाख, जिनमें तलवार के कौशल की क्षमता थी.
and to give: give Joab [obj] number appointment [the] people to(wards) [the] king and to be Israel eight hundred thousand man strength to draw sword and man Judah five hundred thousand man
10 जनगणना के परिणाम स्पष्ट होते ही दावीद का मन उन्हें कचोटने लगा. सुबह जागने पर दावीद ने याहवेह से कहा, “यह करके मैंने घोर पाप किया है. मगर याहवेह, अपने सेवक का अपराध दूर कर दीजिए, क्योंकि यह मेरी बड़ी मूर्खता थी.”

11 सुबह जागने पर दावीद को याहवेह का यह संदेश भविष्यद्वक्ता गाद को भेज दिया गया. वह दावीद के लिए नियुक्त दर्शी थे:
and to arise: rise David in/on/with morning and word LORD to be to(wards) Gad [the] prophet seer David to/for to say
12 “जाओ और दावीद से यह कहो, ‘याहवेह का यह संदेश है, मैं तुम्हारे सामने तीन विकल्प प्रस्तुत कर रहा हूं. इनमें से तुम एक चुन लो, कि मैं उसे तुम पर इस्तेमाल कर सकूं.’”
to go: went and to speak: speak to(wards) David thus to say LORD three I to lift upon you to choose to/for you one from them and to make: do to/for you
13 तब गाद दावीद के सामने आए और उनसे यह कहा, “क्या तुम्हारे देश में तीन वर्ष के लिए अकाल भेजा जाए? या तुम तीन महीने तक उन शत्रुओं से बचकर भागते रहो, जो तुम्हारा पीछा कर रहे थे? या क्या देश में तीन दिन की महामारी हो? अब विचार करके निर्णय करो कि मैं अपने भेजनेवाले को उत्तर दे सकूं.”

14 तब दावीद ने गाद को उत्तर दिया, “मैं बड़ी मुसीबत में हूं. हमें याहवेह के हाथ से दिया गया दंड ही सहने दीजिए, क्योंकि अपार है उनकी कृपा. मुझे किसी मनुष्य के हाथ में न पड़ने दें.”
and to say David to(wards) Gad distress to/for me much to fall: fall please in/on/with hand: power LORD for many (compassion his *Q(K)*) and in/on/with hand: power man not to fall: fall
15 तब याहवेह ने उस समय से तय अवधि तक के लिए इस्राएल देश पर महामारी भेज दी. दान से बेअरशेबा तक 70,000 व्यक्तियों की मृत्यु हो गई.
and to give: give LORD pestilence in/on/with Israel from [the] morning and till time meeting: time appointed and to die from [the] people from Dan and till Beersheba Beersheba seventy thousand man
16 जब विनाशक स्वर्गदूत ने येरूशलेम को ध्वस्त करने के उद्देश्य से उसकी ओर हाथ बढ़ाया, याहवेह ने विनाश का विचार त्याग दिया. उन्होंने उस स्वर्गदूत को, जो मनुष्यों को मार रहा था, कहा, “बस करो अब! अपना हाथ रोक दो!” इस समय स्वर्गदूत यबूसी औरनन के खलिहान के निकट था.
and to send: reach hand his [the] messenger: angel Jerusalem to/for to ruin her and to be sorry: relent LORD to(wards) [the] distress: harm and to say to/for messenger: angel [the] to ruin in/on/with people many now to slacken hand your and messenger: angel LORD to be with threshing floor ([the] Araunah *Q(K)*) [the] Jebusite
17 जब दावीद ने मनुष्यों का संहार कर रहे स्वर्गदूत को देखा, उन्होंने याहवेह को संबोधित कर कहा, “पाप सिर्फ मैंने किया है. सिर्फ मैं ही हूं अपराधी; मगर ये भेड़ें; क्या दोष है उनका? आपका यह दंड देता हुआ हाथ मुझ पर और मेरे पिता के परिवार के विरुद्ध उठने दीजिए.”

18 तब गाद उसी दिन दावीद के पास पहुंचे और उन्हें आदेश दिया, “यबूसी औरनन के खलिहान में जाकर याहवेह के लिए वेदी बनाओ.”
and to come (in): come Gad to(wards) David in/on/with day [the] he/she/it and to say to/for him to ascend: rise to arise: raise to/for LORD altar in/on/with threshing floor (Araunah *Q(K)*) [the] Jebusite
19 दावीद ने गाद का आदेश पालन कर वैसा ही किया, जैसा याहवेह ने उन्हें आदेश दिया था.
and to ascend: rise David like/as word Gad like/as as which to command LORD
20 जब औरनन ने दृष्टि की, तो यह देखा कि राजा और उनके सेवक उसी की ओर बढ़ते चले आ रहे थे. औरनन ने जाकर दंडवत हो उनको नमस्कार किया.
and to look Araunah and to see: see [obj] [the] king and [obj] servant/slave his to pass upon him and to come out: come Araunah and to bow to/for king face his land: soil [to]
21 औरनन ने विनती की, “क्या कारण है कि महाराज, मेरे स्वामी को इस सेवक के यहां आने की आवश्यकता हुई है?” दावीद ने उत्तर दिया, “तुमसे खलिहान खरीदने, कि मैं याहवेह के लिये वेदी बना सकूं. तब बीमारी रुक जायेगी.”
and to say Araunah why? to come (in): come lord my [the] king to(wards) servant/slave his and to say David to/for to buy from from with you [obj] [the] threshing floor to/for to build altar to/for LORD and to restrain [the] plague from upon [the] people
22 यह सुन औरनन ने दावीद से कहा, “महाराज, मेरे स्वामी को जो कुछ सही लगे, ले लें और भेंट चढ़ा दें. अग्निबलि के लिए ये बैल हैं, और बलि के लिए आवश्यक लकड़ी के लिए भूसी निकालने के ये हथियार और जूआ प्रस्तुत हैं.
and to say Araunah to(wards) David to take: take and to ascend: offer up lord my [the] king [the] pleasant (in/on/with eye: appearance his *Q(K)*) to see: behold! [the] cattle to/for burnt offering and [the] threshing sled and article/utensil [the] cattle to/for tree: wood
23 महाराज, यह सब औरनन महाराज को भेंट में प्रस्तुत कर रहा है.” औरनन ने राजा से यह भी कहा, “याहवेह, आपके परमेश्वर, आपको स्वीकार करें.”
[the] all to give: give Araunah [the] king to/for king and to say Araunah to(wards) [the] king LORD God your to accept you
24 मगर राजा ने औरनन को उत्तर दिया, “नहीं, मैं तुम्हें इनका मूल्य देकर ही इन्हें स्वीकार करूंगा. मैं, याहवेह मेरे परमेश्वर को ऐसी भेंट नहीं चढ़ा सकता, जिसका मैंने मूल्य नहीं चुका दिया है.” दावीद ने चांदी के पचास मुद्राएं देकर खलिहान और बैल मोल ले लिए.
and to say [the] king to(wards) Araunah not for to buy to buy from [obj] you in/on/with price and not to ascend: offer up to/for LORD God my burnt offering for nothing and to buy David [obj] [the] threshing floor and [obj] [the] cattle in/on/with silver: money shekel fifty
25 दावीद ने वहां याहवेह के निमित्त वेदी बनाई और उस पर अग्निबलि और मेल बलियां चढ़ाईं. तब याहवेह ने देश के लिए इस प्रार्थना को स्वीकार किया जिससे इस्राएल देश से महामारी जाती रही.
and to build there David altar to/for LORD and to ascend: offer up burnt offering and peace offering and to pray LORD to/for land: country/planet and to restrain [the] plague from upon Israel
