2 कुरिन्थियों 8

1 हम भाई बहनों को मकेदोनिया की कलीसियाओं को परमेश्वर द्वारा दिए गए अनुग्रह के विषय में बताना चाहते हैं.

We make known to you, brethren, God’s gracious gift, which has been given in the churches of Macedonia;

2 बड़े भीषण संकटों में भी उनका बड़ा आनंद, तथा भारी कंगाली में भी उनकी बड़ी उदारता छलक पड़ी है.

that under an afflicting trial, their overflowing joy, and their deep poverty, abounded to the riches of their liberality;

3 मैं इस सच्चाई की पुष्टि कर सकता हूं कि उन्होंने न केवल उतना ही दिया, जो उनके लिए संभव था परंतु उससे कहीं अधिक! यह उन्होंने अपनी इच्छा से दिया है.

for I testify that according to their power, and beyond their power, they gave voluntarily,

4 उन्होंने तो हमसे विनती पर विनती करते हुए अनुमति चाही कि उन्हें पवित्र लोगों की सहायता की धन्यता में शामिल होने का सुअवसर प्रदान किया जाए.

beseeching us, with much entreaty, that they might give, and take part in the ministering to the saints;

5 यह सब हमारी आशा के विपरीत था. इससे भी बढ़कर उन्होंने परमेश्वर की इच्छा के अनुरूप सबसे पहले स्वयं को प्रभु के लिए और फिर हमारे लिए समर्पित कर दिया.

and they did this, not only as we had hoped, but they gave themselves first to the Lord, and then to us, through the will of God;

6 इसलिये हमने तीतॉस से विनती की कि जिस प्रकार इसके पहले उसने तुममें यह प्रक्रिया शुरू की थी, वैसे ही वह इस सराहनीय काम को पूरा भी करे.

so that we exhorted Titus, that, as he had previously begun, so he would bring to an end this gift among you also.

7 ठीक जिस प्रकार तुम विश्वास, वचन, ज्ञान, उत्साह तथा हमारे प्रति प्रेम में बढ़ते जाते हो, उसी प्रकार अब तुम्हारा प्रयास यह हो कि तुम इस सराहनीय सेवा में भी बढ़ते जाओ.

Now as you excel in every thing, in faith, and in speech, and in knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love for us, see that you excel in this gift also.

8 मैं तुम्हें कोई आज्ञा नहीं दे रहा. मैं सिर्फ बाकियों के उत्साह से तुम्हारे प्रेम की तुलना कर इसकी सच्चाई को परख रहा हूं.

I do not speak this as a commandment, but on account of the zeal of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.

9 हमारे प्रभु येशु मसीह की कृपा से तुम भली-भांति परिचित हो: यद्यपि वह बहुत धनी थे, तुम्हारे लिए उन्होंने निर्धनता अपना ली कि उनकी निर्धनता के द्वारा तुम धनी हो जाओ.

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet, for your sakes, he became poor, that you, through his poverty, might become rich.

10 यहां मैं अपना मत प्रस्तुत कर रहा हूं, जिसमें तुम्हारा भला है: पिछले वर्ष तुमने दान दिया भी और दान देने की इच्छा में तुम आगे थे,

And I give my judgment in this matter; for this is profitable for you, who began not only to do, but to show a willing mind, a year ago.

11 इसलिये जो काम तुमने शुरू किया था, उसे पूरा भी करो—इस काम की समाप्‍ति के लिए भी वैसे ही उत्साही बने रहो, जैसे इसकी योजना तैयार करते समय थे. इसकी समाप्‍ति उससे करो, जो इस समय तुम्हारे पास हैं.

Now, therefore, perfect also the doing of this; that as there was a readiness of mind to be willing, so also there may be an accomplishment of the doing, out of that which you have.

12 यदि किसी में दान देने की इच्छा है तो जो कुछ उसके पास है, उसी के आधार पर उसका दान ग्रहण होगा—उसके आधार पर नहीं, जो उसके पास नहीं है.

For if there is a readiness of mind, one is accepted according to what he has, not according to what he has not.

13 हमारा मतलब यह नहीं है कि दूसरों की भलाई करने के कारण स्वयं तुम कष्ट सहो. हमारा उद्देश्य सिर्फ न्याय करना है.

For I do not intend that there shall be relief to others, and affliction to you; but that, according to equality, your abundance, at the present time, may supply their wants;

14 इस समय तो तुम्हारी बढ़ोतरी उनकी ज़रूरत पूरी करने के लिए काफ़ी है. कभी यह भी संभव है कि तुम स्वयं को ज़रूरत में पाओ और वे अपनी बढ़ोतरी में से तुम्हारी सहायता करें. तब दोनों पक्ष समान हो जाएंगे.

and that, at a future time, their abundance may supply your wants; that there may be equality,

15 पवित्र शास्त्र का उदाहरण है: जिसने अधिक मात्रा में इकट्ठा कर लिया, उसने कुछ भी ज्यादा नहीं पाया और जिसने कम इकट्ठा किया, उसे कोई कमी न हुई.

as it is written: He that gathered much had nothing over; and he that gathered little did not lack.

16 तीतॉस के मन में तुम्हारे प्रति ऐसा ही उत्साह जगाने के लिए मैं परमेश्वर का आभारी हूं.

But thanks be to God, who put the same earnest care for you in the heart of Titus:

17 उसने न केवल हमारी विनती ही सहर्ष स्वीकार की बल्कि वह उत्साह में अपनी इच्छा से तुम्हारे पास चला गया है.

for he accepted my exhortation, and, being more earnest, he went to you of his own accord.

18 हम उसके साथ एक ऐसे व्यक्ति को भेज रहे हैं, जो सारी कलीसियाओं में ईश्वरीय सुसमाचार के प्रचार के लिए सराहा जा रहा है.

And we have sent with him the brother whose praise in the gospel is in all the churches;

19 इतना ही नहीं, स्वयं प्रभु की महिमा तथा लोगों पर इस सहायता के लिए हमारी तत्परता प्रकट करने के उद्देश्य से कलीसियाओं ने इस व्यक्ति को हमारे साथ यात्रा करने के लिए चुना है.

and who, moreover, was chosen by the churches as our fellow-traveler with this gift, which is to be distributed by us to the glory of the Lord himself, and as a declaration of your readiness of mind;

20 हम सावधान हैं कि किसी को भी इस सहायता की राशि के प्रबंध करने में हम पर उंगली उठाने का अवसर न मिले.

being careful for this―that no one shall blame us in this abundance, which is ministered by us;

21 हमारा उद्देश्य न केवल वह है, जो प्रभु की दृष्टि में शोभनीय और भला है परंतु मनुष्यों की दृष्टि में भी.

for we provide what is honorable, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.

22 इनके साथ हम एक और व्यक्ति को भेज रहे हैं. अनेक अवसरों पर हमने उसे परखा है और उसे सच्चा ही पाया है. अब तो तुम्हारे लिए उसके भरोसे ने उसमें और अधिक उत्साह तथा सहायता के लिए तेजी का संचार किया है.

And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have often proved to be diligent in many things, but now much more diligent on account of the strong confidence which he has in you.

23 तीतॉस तुम्हारे बीच मेरा साथी तथा सहकर्मी है. उसके साथी यात्री कलीसियाओं के भेजे हुए तथा मसीह का गौरव हैं.

If it is necessary to speak of Titus, he is my partner and fellow-worker for you; if our brethren are spoken of, they are the apostles of the churches, the glory of Christ.

24 इसलिये कलीसियाओं के सामने खुले दिल से उन पर अपने प्रेम तथा तुम्हारे प्रति हमारे गर्व के कारणों का प्रमाण दो.

Therefore, give to them, in the presence of the churches, a proof of your love, and of our boasting of you.
