1 शलोमोन की प्रार्थना खत्म होते ही स्वर्ग से आग बरसी और उसने होमबलि और बलियों को भस्म कर दिया और याहवेह के तेज से भवन भर गया.
Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices. And the glory of Jehovah filled the house.
2 याहवेह के तेज से याहवेह के भवन के भरने के कारण याहवेह के भवन में पुरोहितों का रहना मुश्किल हो गया.
And the priests could not enter into the house of Jehovah, because the glory of Jehovah filled Jehovah's house.
3 आग गिरने और भवन पर याहवेह के तेज को देख इस्राएल वंशज भूमि की ओर मुख कर ज़मीन पर ही झुक गए और यह कहते हुए याहवेह की वंदना की, उनकी स्तुति की, “याहवेह भले हैं; उनकी करुणा सदा की है.”
And all the sons of Israel looked on when the fire came down, and the glory of Jehovah was upon the house. And they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshiped, and gave thanks to Jehovah, saying, For he is good. For his loving kindness is forever.
4 तब राजा और सारी इस्राएली प्रजा ने उनके साथ याहवेह के सामने बलि चढ़ाई.
Then the king and all the people offered sacrifice before Jehovah.
5 राजा शलोमोन ने 22,000 बछड़े और 1,20,000 भेड़ें चढ़ाईं. इस प्रकार राजा और सारी प्रजा ने परमेश्वर के भवन को समर्पित किया.
And king Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty-two thousand oxen, and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.
6 पुरोहित अपनी-अपनी चौकियों पर खड़े थे, लेवी भी याहवेह की स्तुति के लिए ठहराए गए वाद्य यंत्र लिए हुए खड़े थे, जो राजा दावीद ने याहवेह की स्तुति के उद्देश्य से बनाए थे, कि वह इन वाद्य-यंत्रों की धुन पर, “उनकी करुणा सदा की है.” गाएं, जब दूसरी ओर इस्राएल खड़ा हुआ होता था.
And the priests stood according to their offices, also the Levites with instruments of music of Jehovah, which David the king had made to give thanks to Jehovah (for his loving kindness is forever) when David praised by their ministry, and the priests sounded trumpets before them. And all Israel stood.
7 तब शलोमोन ने याहवेह के भवन के सामने के आंगन के बीचवाले स्थान को समर्पित किया, क्योंकि उन्होंने होमबलि और मेल बलि की चर्बी चढ़ाई थी, क्योंकि शलोमोन द्वारा बनाई कांसे की वेदी होमबलि, अन्नबलि और वसा के लिए कम पड़ गई थी.
Moreover Solomon hallowed the middle of the court that was before the house of Jehovah. For there he offered the burnt offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings, because the brazen altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt offering, and the meal offering, and the fat.
8 इस अवसर पर शलोमोन ने सारे इस्राएल के साथ सात दिन उत्सव मनाया. यह एक बहुत ही बड़ी सभा थी, जिसमें सदस्य हामाथ की घाटी से लेकर मिस्र की नदी तक से आए हुए थे.
So Solomon held the feast at that time seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great assembly, from the entrance of Hamath to the brook of Egypt.
9 आठवें दिन उन्होंने समापन समारोह मनाया. उन्होंने वेदी के समर्पण के लिए सात दिन दिए थे और उत्सव समारोह के लिए और सात दिन.
And on the eighth day they held a solemn assembly. For they kept the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days.
10 सातवें महीने के तेईसवें दिन शलोमोन ने लोगों को उनके घर के लिए विदा किया. वे सभी दावीद, शलोमोन और याहवेह की प्रजा इस्राएल पर उनकी भलाई के लिए आनंद मनाते हुए हर्षित मन लिए लौट गए.
And on the twenty-third day of the seventh month he sent the people away to their tents, joyful and glad of heart for the goodness that Jehovah had shown to David, and to Solomon, and to Israel his people.
11 इस प्रकार शलोमोन ने याहवेह के भवन और राजमहल का काम पूरा किया. याहवेह के भवन और राजमहल के विषय में जैसा सोचा गया था, वह सफलतापूर्वक पूरा हो गया,
Thus Solomon finished the house of Jehovah, and the king's house. And all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of Jehovah, and in his own house, he caused to prosper.
12 यह सब होने के बाद याहवेह रात में शलोमोन पर प्रकट हुए. शलोमोन को उन्होंने संबोधित करते हुए कहा: “तुम्हारी प्रार्थना मैंने सुन ली है. मैंने इस स्थान को अपने लिए बलि के भवन के रूप में रखा है.
And Jehovah appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for a house of sacrifice.
13 “जब कभी मैं आकाश को ऐसा रोक दूं, कि बारिश रुक जाए, या मैं टिड्डियों को आदेश दूं कि वे देश को चट कर जाएं, या मैं अपनी प्रजा पर महामारी भेज दूं
If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people,
14 और मेरी प्रजा, जो मेरे नाम से जानी जाती है, अपने आपको विनम्र बना ले, प्रार्थना करने लगे, मेरी खुशी चाहे और अपने पाप के स्वभाव से दूर हो जाए, तब मैं स्वर्ग से उनकी सुनूंगा, उनका पाप क्षमा करूंगा और उनके देश के घाव भर दूंगा.
if my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
15 अब से इस स्थान में की गई प्रार्थना के प्रति मेरी आंखें खुली और कान सचेत रहेंगे.
Now my eyes shall be open, and my ears attend to the prayer that is made in this place.
16 क्योंकि अब मैंने इस भवन को चुनकर इसे पवित्र बना लिया है कि इस स्थान पर मेरी महिमा हमेशा बनी रहे और मेरी दृष्टि और मेरा हृदय हमेशा यही लगे रहें.
For now I have chosen and hallowed this house, that my name may be there forever, and my eyes and my heart shall be there perpetually.
17 “तुमसे मुझे यह कहना है यदि तुम्हारा व्यवहार तुम्हारे पिता दावीद के समान रहेगा, हां, यदि तुम वह सब करोगे, जिसका मैंने तुम्हें आदेश दिया है और यदि तुम मेरी व्यवस्था और विधियों का पालन करते रहोगे,
And as for thee, if thou will walk before me as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and will keep my statutes and mine ordinances,
18 तब मैं तुम्हारे राज सिंहासन को स्थिर करूंगा; जैसा कि मैंने तुम्हारे पिता दावीद के साथ यह वाचा भी बांधी थी, ‘इस्राएल पर शासन के लिए तुम्हें कभी किसी उत्तराधिकारी का अभाव न होगा.’
then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel.
19 “मगर यदि तुम मुझसे दूर होकर मेरे उन नियमों और आदेशों को त्याग दोगे, जो मैंने तुम्हारे सामने रखे हैं और दूसरे देवताओं की सेवा और आराधना करने लगो,
But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them,
20 तब मैं तुम्हें अपने उस देश से, जो मैंने तुम्हें दिया है, निकाल दूंगा और इस भवन को जिसे मैंने अपनी महिमा के लिए पवित्र किया है, अपनी दृष्टि से दूर कर दूंगा और इसे सभी लोगों के सामने उपमा देने और मज़ाक का विषय बना छोड़ूंगा.
then I will pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them. And this house, which I have hallowed for my name, I will cast out of my sight, and I will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples.
21 यह भवन खंडहरों का ढेर होकर रह जाएगा. तब हर एक व्यक्ति, जो उनके पास से होकर जाएगा चकित हो सांस ऊपर खींच यह कह उठेगा, ‘क्यों उन्होंने याहवेह अपने परमेश्वर को भुला दिया था?’
And this house, which is so high, everyone who passes by it shall be astonished, and shall say, Why has Jehovah done thus to this land, and to this house?
22 तब उन्हें बताया जाएगा, ‘याहवेह ने उनके पूर्वजों को मिस्र देश से बाहर निकाल लाया था. अब उन्होंने अन्य देवताओं का अनुसरण करने का निश्चय किया. उन्होंने उन देवताओं की सेवा और पूजा करनी आरंभ की. यही कारण है याहवेह ने उन पर यह सारी घोर विपत्ति डाल दी है.’”
And they shall answer, Because they forsook Jehovah, the God of their fathers, who brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshiped them, and served them; therefore he has brought all this evil upon them.
