2 इतिहास 21
1 यहोशाफ़ात हमेशा के लिए अपने पूर्वजों में मिल गया. उसे दावीद के नगर में उसके पूर्वजों के साथ गाड़ा गया. उसके स्थान पर उसका पुत्र यहोराम राजा हुआ.
Iehosphaphat then slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the citie of Dauid: and Iehoram his sonne reigned in his steade.
2 उसके भाई थे, यहोशाफ़ात ही के पुत्र अज़रियाह, येहिएल, ज़करयाह, अज़रियाह, मिखाएल और शेपाथियाह. ये सभी यहूदिया के राजा यहोशाफ़ात के पुत्र थे.
And he had brethren the sonnes of Iehoshaphat, Azariah, and Iehiel, and Zechariah, and Azariah, and Michael, and Shephatiah. All these were the sonnes of Iehoshaphat King of Israel.
3 इनके पिता ने इन्हें अनेक उपहार दिए थे, चांदी, सोना और कीमती वस्तुएं. इनके अलावा उसने उन्हें यहूदिया में गढ़नगर भी दे दिए थे, मगर यहोराम को उसने राज्य सौंप दिया था; क्योंकि वह पहलौठा था.
And their father gaue them great giftes of siluer and of golde, and of precious things, with strong cities in Iudah, but the kingdome gaue he to Iehoram: for he was the eldest.
4 जैसे ही यहोराम अपने पिता के सिंहासन पर बैठा और राज्य स्थिर हुआ, उसने अपने सभी भाइयों को घात कर दिया और इनके अलावा इस्राएल के कुछ अधिकारियों को भी.
And Iehoram rose vp vpon the kingdom of his father, and made himselfe strong, and slew all his brethren with the sworde, and also of the princes of Israel.
5 जब यहोराम राजा बना, उसकी उम्र बत्तीस साल थी और उसने येरूशलेम में आठ साल शासन किया.
Iehoram was two and thirtie yeere olde, when he began to reigne, and he reigned eyght yeere in Ierusalem.
6 उसका आचरण इस्राएल के राजाओं के समान था. उसने वही किया, जो अहाब के वंश ने किया था; क्योंकि उसने अहाब की पुत्री से विवाह किया था. वह वही करता था जो याहवेह की दृष्टि में गलत था.
And he walked in the way of the Kings of Israel, as the house of Ahab had done: for he had the daughter of Ahab to wife, and he wrought euill in the eyes of the Lord.
7 फिर भी दावीद से बांधी गई अपनी वाचा के कारण याहवेह ने दावीद के वंश को नाश करना न चाहा और इसलिये भी कि उन्होंने यह प्रतिज्ञा की थी कि वह दावीद को और उनके पुत्रों के दीपक को कभी न बुझाएंगे.
Howbeit the Lord would not destroy the house of Dauid, because of the couenant that he had made with Dauid, and because he had promised to giue a light to him, and to his sonnes for euer.
8 यहोराम का शासनकाल में एक मौका ऐसा आया, जब एदोम ने यहूदिया के विरुद्ध विद्रोह कर दिया और अपने लिए स्वयं एक राजा चुन लिया.
In his dayes Edom rebelled from vnder the hand of Iudah, and made a King ouer them.
9 तब यहोराम अपने सेनापतियों और सारे रथों को लेकर एदोम की ओर निकला. वह रात में उठा और उन एदोमियों को मार डाला जिन्होंने उसे, सेनापतियों और रथों को घेर रखा था.
And Iehoram went forth with his princes, and all his charets with him: and hee rose vp by night, and smote Edom, which had compassed him in, and the captaines of the charets.
10 फलस्वरूप एदोम आज तक इस्राएल के विरुद्ध विद्रोह की स्थिति में है. इसी समय लिबनाह ने भी विद्रोह कर दिया था. क्योंकि यहोराम ने अपने पूर्वजों के परमेश्वर याहवेह को त्याग दिया था.
But Edom rebelled from vnder the hande of Iudah vnto this day. then did Libnah rebell at the same time from vnder his hand, because he had forsaken the Lord God of his fathers.
11 इसके अलावा उसने यहूदिया के पर्वतों पर वेदियां बना रखी थी, जिसका परिणाम यह हुआ कि येरूशलेम के निवासी याहवेह परमेश्वर के प्रति सच्चे न रह गए और यहूदिया के निवासी मार्ग से भटक गए.
Moreouer hee made hie places in the mountaines of Iudah, and caused the inhabitants of Ierusalem to commit fornication, and compelled Iudah thereto.
12 तब यहोराम को भविष्यद्वक्ता एलियाह द्वारा भेजा एक पत्र मिला, जिसमें एलियाह ने लिखा था, “तुम्हारे पूर्वज दावीद के परमेश्वर याहवेह का संदेश यह है, ‘इसलिये, कि तुमने न तो अपने पिता यहोशाफ़ात की नीतियों का पालन किया और न यहूदिया के राजा आसा की नीतियों का.
And there came a writing to him from Elijah the Prophet, saying, Thus sayth the Lord God of Dauid thy father, Because thou hast not walked in the wayes of Iehoshaphat thy father, nor in the wayes of Asa King of Iudah,
13 बल्कि तुमने इस्राएल के राजाओं की नीतियों का अनुसरण किया है और यहूदिया और येरूशलेम के निवासियों को अहाब के परिवार के समान विश्वासघात के लिए उकसाया है और तुमने अपने ही परिवार के भाइयों की हत्या कर दी है, जो तुमसे अच्छे थे.
But hast walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and hast made Iudah and the inhabitantes of Ierusalem to go a whoring, as the house of Ahab went a whoring, and hast also slaine thy brethre of thy fathers house, which were better then thou,
14 यह देख लेना, तुम्हारे लोगों, तुम्हारे पुत्रों तुम्हारी पत्नियों और तुम्हारी सारी संपत्ति पर याहवेह बड़ी भारी विपत्ति डालेंगे.
Beholde, with a great plague will the Lord smite thy people, and thy children, and thy wiues, and all thy substance,
15 खुद तुम एक भयंकर रोग से बीमार हो जाओगे. यह आंतों का रोग होगा, फलस्वरूप इस रोग के कारण हर रोज़ तुम्हारी आंतें बाहर आती जाएंगी.’”
And thou shalt be in great diseases in the disease of thy bowels, vntill thy bowels fall out for the disease, day by day.
16 तब याहवेह ने फिलिस्तीनियों और उन अरबों के मनों को, जो कूश देश की सीमा के पास रहते थे, यहोराम के विरुद्ध उकसाया.
So the Lord stirred vp against Iehoram the spirite of the Philistims, and the Arabians that were beside the Ethiopians.
17 उन्होंने यहूदिया पर हमला कर दिया, वे सीमा में घुस आए. उन्होंने राजमहल में जो कुछ था सभी ले लिया और साथ ही उसके पुत्रों और पत्नियों को भी अपने साथ ले गए. तब उसके छोटे पुत्र यहोआहाज़ के अलावा वहां कोई भी बचा न रह गया.
And they came vp into Iudah, and brake into it, and caryed away all the substance that was found in the Kings house, and his sonnes also, and his wiues, so that there was not a sonne left him, saue Iehoahaz, the yongest of his sonnes.
18 यह सब होने पर याहवेह ने उसकी आंतों पर एक भयंकर रोग से वार किया.
And after all this, the Lord smote him in his bowels with an incurable disease.
19 रोग दिनोंदिन बढ़ता ही गया और दो साल पूरे होने पर उसकी आंतें बाहर निकल आईं और भीषण दर्द में उसकी मृत्यु हो गई. लोगों ने उसके सम्मान में आग नहीं जलाई जैसा वे उसके पूर्वजों के संबंध में करते आए थे.
And in processe of time, euen after the end of two yeeres, his guttes fell out with his disease: so he dyed of sore diseases: and his people made no burning for him like the burning of his fathers.
20 जब उसने शासन करना शुरू किया उसकी उम्र बत्तीस साल की थी. येरूशलेम में उसने आठ साल शासन किया. किसी को भी उसकी मृत्यु पर दुःख न हुआ. उन्होंने उसे दावीद के नगर में गाड़ दिया, मगर राजाओं के लिए ठहराई गई कब्र में नहीं.
When he began to reigne, he was two and thirtie yeere olde, and reigned in Ierusalem eight yeere, and liued without being desired: yet they buryed him in the citie of Dauid, but not among the sepulchres of the Kings.
