1 तीमुथियुस 6
1 वे सभी दास, जो दासत्व के जूए में जुते हुए हैं, अपने-अपने स्वामियों को सब प्रकार से आदरयोग्य समझें जिससे कि हमारे परमेश्वर की प्रतिष्ठा तथा हमारी शिक्षा प्रशंसनीय बनी रहे.
All who are under the yoke of slavery should regard their masters as fully worthy of honor, so that God’s name and our teaching will not be discredited.
2 जिनके स्वामी विश्वासी हैं, वे अपने स्वामियों का अपमान न करें कि अब तो वे उनके समान साथी विश्वासी हैं. वे अब उनकी सेवा और भी अधिक मन लगाकर करें क्योंकि वे, जो सेवा से लाभ उठा रहे हैं, साथी विश्वासी तथा प्रिय हैं. उन्हें इन्हीं सिद्धांतों की शिक्षा दो तथा इनके पालन की विनती करो.
Those who have believing masters should not show disrespect because they are brothers, but should serve them all the more, since those receiving their good service are beloved believers. Teach and encourage these principles.
3 यदि कोई इससे अलग शिक्षा देता है तथा हमारे प्रभु येशु मसीह के यथार्थ संदेश तथा परमेश्वर की भक्ति की शिक्षा से सहमत नहीं होता,
If anyone teaches another doctrine and disagrees with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and with godly teaching,
4 वह अभिमानी है, अज्ञानी है तथा उसे बिना मतलब के वाद-विवाद व शब्दों के युद्ध का रोग है, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप जलन, झगड़े, दूसरों की बुराई, बुरे संदेह
he is conceited and understands nothing. Instead, he has an unhealthy interest in controversies and semantics, out of which come envy, strife, abusive talk, evil suspicions,
5 तथा बिगड़ी हुई बुद्धि और सच से अलग व्यक्तियों में व्यर्थ झगड़े उत्पन्न हो जाते है. ये वे हैं, जो परमेश्वर की भक्ति को कमाई का साधन समझते हैं.
and constant friction between men of depraved mind who are devoid of the truth. These men regard godliness as a means of gain.
6 परंतु संतोष भरी परमेश्वर की भक्ति स्वयं में एक अद्भुत धन है
Of course, godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 क्योंकि हम इस संसार में कुछ भी लेकर नहीं आए हैं, इसलिये हम यहां से कुछ ले जा भी न सकेंगे.
For we brought nothing into the world, so we cannot carry anything out of it.
8 हम इसी में संतुष्ट रहेंगे कि हमारे पास भोजन तथा वस्त्र हैं.
But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with these.
9 जो धनी बनने के अभिलाषी हैं, वे परीक्षा, फंदें और अनेक मूर्खता भरे व हानिकारक लालसाओं में पड़ जाते हैं, जो उन्हें पतन और विनाश के गर्त में ले डुबाती हैं.
Those who want to be rich, however, fall into temptation and become ensnared by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction.
10 धन का लालच हर एक प्रकार की बुराई की जड़ है. कुछ इसी लालच में विश्वास से भटक गए तथा इसमें उन्होंने स्वयं को अनेक दुःखों से छलनी कर लिया है.
For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. By craving it, some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.
11 परंतु तुम, जो परमेश्वर के सेवक हो, इन सबसे दूर भागो तथा सच्चाई, परमेश्वर भक्ति, विश्वास, प्रेम, धीरज तथा विनम्रता का पीछा करो.
But you, O man of God, flee from these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.
12 अपने विश्वास का कठिन संघर्ष करो, उस अनंत जीवन को थामे रखो, जिसके लिए परमेश्वर ने तुम्हें बुलाया और जिसे तुमने अनेक गवाहों के सामने अंगीकार किया है. (aiōnios g166)
Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made the good confession before many witnesses. (aiōnios g166)
13 सारी सृष्टि के पिता तथा मसीह येशु को, जो पोन्तियॉस पिलातॉस के सामने अच्छे गवाह साबित हुए, उपस्थित जानकर मैं तुम्हें निर्देश देता हूं:
I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who made the good confession in His testimony before Pontius Pilate:
14 हमारे प्रभु येशु मसीह के दोबारा आगमन तक इस आज्ञा को निष्कलंक और निर्दोष बनाए रखो,
Keep this commandment without stain or reproach until the appearance of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 जो ठीक समय पर परमेश्वर के द्वारा पूरा होगा—परमेश्वर, जो धन्य व एकमात्र अधिपति, राजाओं के राजा और प्रभुओं के प्रभु हैं,
which the blessed and only Sovereign One—the King of kings and Lord of lords—will bring about in His own time.
16 सिर्फ वही अमर्त्य हैं, जिनका वास अपार ज्योति में है. जिन्हें किसी ने न तो कभी देखा है और न ही देख सकता है. उनकी महिमा और प्रभुता निरंतर रहे. आमेन. (aiōnios g166)
He alone is immortal and dwells in unapproachable light. No one has ever seen Him, nor can anyone see Him. To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen. (aiōnios g166)
17 संसार के धनवानों को आदेश दो कि वे घमंड न करें और अपनी आशा नाशमान धन पर नहीं, परंतु परमेश्वर पर रखें, जो हमारे उपभोग की हर एक वस्तु बहुतायत में देते हैं. (aiōn g165)
Instruct those who are rich in the present age not to be conceited and not to put their hope in the uncertainty of wealth, but in God, who richly provides all things for us to enjoy. (aiōn g165)
18 उन्हें भले काम करने, अच्छे कामों का धनी हो जाने तथा दान देनेवाले व उदार बनने की आज्ञा दो.
Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, and to be generous and ready to share,
19 इस प्रकार वे इस धन का खर्च अपने आनेवाले जीवन की नींव के लिए करेंगे कि वे उस जीवन को, जो वास्तविक है, थामे रह सकें.
treasuring up for themselves a firm foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.
20 तिमोथियॉस, उस धरोहर की रक्षा करो, जो तुम्हें सौंपी गई है. जो बातें आत्मिक नहीं, व्यर्थ बातचीत और उन बातों के ज्ञान से उपजे विरोधी तर्कों से दूर रहो,
O Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you. Avoid irreverent, empty chatter and the opposing arguments of so-called “knowledge,”
21 जिसे स्वीकार कर अनेक अपने मूल विश्वास से भटक गए. तुम पर अनुग्रह होता रहे.
which some have professed and thus swerved away from the faith. Grace be with you all.
