1 तीमुथियुस 2
1 इसलिये सबसे पहली विनती यह है कि सभी के लिए विनती, प्रार्थनाएं, दूसरों के लिए प्रार्थनाएं और धन्यवाद प्रस्तुत किए जाएं,
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 राजाओं तथा अधिकारियों के लिए कि हमारा जीवन सम्मान तथा परमेश्वर की भक्ति में शांति और चैन से हो.
For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all reverence and seriousness.
3 यह परमेश्वर, हमारे उद्धारकर्ता को प्रिय तथा ग्रहण योग्य है,
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of YHWH our Saviour;
4 जिनकी इच्छा है कि सभी मनुष्यों का उद्धार हो तथा वे सच को उसकी भरपूरी में जानें.
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5 परमेश्वर एक ही हैं तथा परमेश्वर और मनुष्यों के मध्यस्थ भी एक ही हैं—देहधारी मसीह येशु,
For there is one Elohim, and one mediator between Elohim and men, the man Yahushua the Messiah;
6 जिन्होंने स्वयं को सबके छुटकारे के लिए बलिदान कर दिया—ठीक समय पर प्रस्तुत एक सबूत.
Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
7 इसी उद्देश्य के लिए मेरा चुनाव प्रचारक और प्रेरित के रूप में अन्यजातियों में विश्वास और सच्चाई की शिक्षा देने के लिए किया गया. मैं सच कह रहा हूं—झूठ नहीं.
Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in the Messiah, and lie not; ) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
8 मैं चाहता हूं कि हर जगह सभाओं में पुरुष, बिना क्रोध तथा विवाद के, परमेश्वर को समर्पित हाथों को ऊपर उठाकर प्रार्थना किया करें.
I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
9 इसी प्रकार स्त्रियों का संवारना समय के अनुसार हो—शालीनता भरा तथा विवेकशील—सिर्फ बाल-सजाने तथा स्वर्ण, मोतियों या कीमती वस्त्रों से नहीं,
In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
10 परंतु अच्छे कामों से, जो परमेश्वर भक्त स्त्रियों के लिए उचित है.
But (which becometh women professing reverence) with good works.
11 स्त्री, मौन रहकर पूरी अधीनता में शिक्षा ग्रहण करे.
Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12 मेरी ओर से स्त्री को पुरुष पर प्रभुता जताने और शिक्षा देने की आज्ञा नहीं है. वह मौन रहे.
But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
13 क्योंकि आदम की सृष्टि हव्वा से पहले हुई थी.
For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14 छल आदम के साथ नहीं परंतु स्त्री के साथ हुआ, जो आज्ञा न मानने की अपराधी हुई.
And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
15 किंतु स्त्रियां संतान पैदा करने के द्वारा उद्धार प्राप्त करेंगी—यदि वे संयम के साथ विश्वास, प्रेम तथा पवित्रता में स्थिर रहती हैं.
Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
