1 पतरस 1
1 मसीह येशु के प्रेरित पेतरॉस की ओर से उन सभी को, जो चुने हुए, प्रवासियों समान पोन्तॉस, गलातिया, कप्पादोकिया, आसिया तथा बिथुनिया प्रदेशों में तितर-बितर होकर निवास कर रहे हैं,
Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the chosen sojourners of the dispersion of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
2 तथा पिता परमेश्वर के भविष्य के ज्ञान के अनुसार, पवित्र आत्मा के पवित्र करने के द्वारा प्रभु के लिए अलग किए गए हैं कि वे मसीह येशु के आज्ञाकारी हों तथा उनके लहू का छिड़काव लें: तुम्हें अनुग्रह व शांति बहुतायत से प्राप्त हो.
according to [the] foreknowledge of God the Father, by [the] sanctification of the Spirit, to [the] obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied to you!
3 स्तुति के योग्य हैं हमारे प्रभु येशु मसीह के पिता और परमेश्वर, जिन्होंने अपनी महान कृपा के अनुसार हमें मसीह येशु के मरे हुओं में से जी उठने के द्वारा जीवित आशा में नया जन्म प्रदान किया है,
Blessed [is] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to the abundance of His kindness begot us again to a living hope, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ out of the dead,
4 कि हम स्वर्ग में रखी हुई उस मीरास को प्राप्त करें, जो अविनाशी, निर्मल तथा अजर है, जो तुम्हारे लिए,
to an incorruptible inheritance, and undefiled, and unfading, reserved for you in the heavens,
5 जो विश्वास के माध्यम से परमेश्वर के सामर्थ्य के द्वारा युग के अंत में प्रकट होने के लिए ठहराए हुए उद्धार के लिए सुरक्षित रखे गए हो, और स्वर्ग में आरक्षित है.
who, in the power of God are being guarded, through faith, to salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time,
6 इसके प्रति आशा तुम्हारे अतीव आनंद का आधार है यद्यपि इस समय थोड़े समय के लिए तुम्हें अनेक प्रकार की परीक्षाएं सहना ज़रूरी हो गया है
in which you are glad, a little now, if it be necessary, being made to sorrow in various trials,
7 कि मसीह येशु के दोबारा आगमन के अवसर पर तुम्हारे विश्वास के प्रमाण का परिणाम प्रशंसा, गौरव और सम्मान में देखा जा सके. तुम्हारा यह विश्वास नाशमान सोने से कहीं अधिक कीमती है—यद्यपि इसे आग में परखा जाता है.
so that the proof of your faith—much more precious than gold that is perishing, and being approved through fire—may be found to [result in] praise, and honor, and glory, at the revelation of Jesus Christ,
8 हालांकि तुमने प्रभु को नहीं देखा है, फिर भी उनसे प्रेम करते हो; और तुम उन्हें इस समय नहीं देख रहे हो, फिर भी तुम उनमें विश्वास करते हो और ऐसे आनंद से, जो वर्णन से बाहर है भरा हुआ हो. जो ईश्वरीय महिमा से भरा है,
whom, having not seen, you love, in whom, now believing [although] not seeing, you are glad with unspeakable joy and have been filled with glory,
9 जिसे तुमने अपने विश्वास के परिणामस्वरूप प्राप्त किया है—वही तुम्हारी आत्मा का उद्धार.
receiving the outcome of the faith—salvation of your souls;
10 इसी उद्धार के संबंध में भविष्यद्वक्ताओं ने अपनी भविष्यवाणियों में तुम्हारे आनेवाले अनुग्रह की प्राप्ति के विषय में खोज और छानबीन की,
concerning which salvation [the] prophets sought out and searched out, who prophesied concerning the grace toward you,
11 उनकी खोज का विषय था उनमें बसा हुआ मसीह के आत्मा द्वारा पहले से बताई गई मसीह की उत्पीड़न तथा उनके बाद उनकी महिमा का संकेत किस व्यक्ति तथा किस काल की ओर था.
searching in regard to what or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ that was in them was signifying, testifying beforehand of the sufferings of Christ and the glory after these,
12 उन पर यह प्रकट कर दिया गया था कि यह सब उनकी अपनी सेवा में, उन्ही के जीवनकाल में नहीं, परंतु वर्षों बाद तुम्हारे जीवनकाल में सम्पन्न होगा. अब तुम तक यही ईश्वरीय सुसमाचार उनके द्वारा लाया गया है, जिन्होंने स्वर्ग से भेजे गए पवित्र आत्मा द्वारा प्रचार क्षमता प्राप्त की थी. स्वर्गदूत तक इनकी एक झलक पाने के लिए लालायित रहते हैं.
to whom it was revealed, that not to themselves, but to us they were ministering these, which now were told to you (through those who proclaimed good news to you), by the Holy Spirit sent from Heaven, to which things messengers desire to look into intently.
13 इसलिये मानसिक रूप से कमर कस लो, सचेत रहो और अपनी आशा पूरी तरह उस अनुग्रह पर केंद्रित करो, जो मसीह येशु के प्रकट होने पर तुम्हें प्रदान किया जाएगा.
For this reason, having girded up the loins of your mind, being sober, hope perfectly on the grace that is being brought to you in the revelation of Jesus Christ,
14 परमेश्वर की आज्ञाकारी संतान होने के कारण उन अभिलाषाओं को तृप्त न करो, तुम पहले अज्ञानतावश जिनके अधीन थे.
as obedient children, not fashioning yourselves to the former desires in your ignorance,
15 अपने पवित्र बुलानेवाले के समान तुम स्वयं अपने सारे स्वभाव में पवित्र हो जाओ;
but according as He who called you [is] holy, you also, become holy in all behavior,
16 लिखा है: “पवित्र बनो, क्योंकि मैं पवित्र हूं.”
because it has been written: “Become holy, because I am holy”;
17 यदि तुम उन्हें पिता कहते हो, जो मनुष्यों के कामों के आधार पर बिना पक्षपात के निर्णय करते हैं तो तुम पृथ्वी पर अपने रहने का समय उन्हीं के भय में बिताओ,
and if you call on the Father, who is judging without favoritism according to the work of each, pass the time of your sojourn in fear,
18 इस अहसास के साथ कि पूर्वजों से चली आ रही तुम्हारे निकम्मे चालचलन से तुम्हारी छुटकारा नाशमान सोने के या चांदी के द्वारा नहीं,
having known that, not with corruptible things—silver or gold—were you redeemed from your foolish behavior inherited from our forefathers,
19 परंतु मसीह के बहुमूल्य लहू से हुआ है—निर्दोष और निष्कलंक मेमने के लहू से.
but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and unspotted—Christ’s—
20 यद्यपि वह सृष्टि के पहले से ही चुने हुए थे किंतु इन अंतिम दिनों में तुम्हारे लिए प्रकट हुए हैं.
foreknown, indeed, before the foundation of the world, and revealed in the last times because of you,
21 तुम, जो प्रभु द्वारा परमेश्वर में विश्वास करते हो, जिन्होंने उन्हें मरे हुओं में से जीवित कर गौरवान्वित किया, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप तुम्हारा विश्वास और आशा परमेश्वर में है.
who through Him believe in God who raised [Him] out of the dead, and gave glory to Him, so that your faith and hope may be in God.
22 इसलिये कि तुमने उस सच्चाई की आज्ञा मानने के द्वारा अपनी आत्मा को निश्छल भाईचारे के लिए पवित्र कर लिया है, अब तुममें आपस में उत्तम हार्दिक प्रेम ही देखा जाए.
Having purified your souls in the obedience of the truth through the Spirit to unhypocritical brotherly love, love one another earnestly out of a pure heart,
23 तुम्हारा नया जन्म नाशवान नहीं परंतु अनंत जीवन तत्व अर्थात् परमेश्वर के जीवित और सदा ठहरने वाले वचन के द्वारा हुआ है (aiōn g165)
being begotten again, not out of corruptible seed, but incorruptible, through a word of God—living and remaining—throughout the age; (aiōn g165)
24 क्योंकि, “सभी मनुष्य घास के समान, तथा उनकी शोभा जंगली फूलों के समान है; घास मुरझा जाती तथा फूल झड़ जाता है,
because all flesh [is] as grass, and all glory of man as flower of grass; the grass withered, and the flower of it fell away,
