1 राजा 15

1 नेबाथ के पुत्र यरोबोअम के शासनकाल के अठारहवें साल में अबीयाम ने यहूदिया पर शासन करना शुरू किया.

Then, in the eighteenth year of the reign of Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, Abijam reigned over Judah.

2 उसने येरूशलेम में तीन साल शासन किया. उसकी माता का नाम माकाह था. वह अबीशालोम की पुत्री थी.

He reigned for three years in Jerusalem. The name of his mother was Maacah, the daughter of Abishalom.

3 उसने अपने पिता के जैसा ही चालचलन रखा, और वे ही वे सारे पाप किए जो अपने पिता ने किए. याहवेह, अपने परमेश्वर के प्रति उसका हृदय पूरी तरह समर्पित न था, जैसा उसके पूर्वज दावीद का था.

And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him. Neither was his heart perfect with the Lord his God, as was the heart of David, his father.

4 यह सब होने पर भी, दावीद के कारण याहवेह, उसके परमेश्वर ने उसके लिए एक पुत्र पैदा कर उसके हित में येरूशलेम में एक दीप जला रखा, और येरूशलेम को स्थिरता दी.

But for the sake of David, the Lord his God gave to him a lamp in Jerusalem, so that he might raise up his son after him, and so that he might establish Jerusalem.

5 क्योंकि दावीद ने वही किया था, जो याहवेह की दृष्टि में सही था. दावीद आजीवन याहवेह द्वारा दिए गए आदेशों से नहीं हटे—सिर्फ हित्ती उरियाह से संबंधित घटना के सिवाय.

For David had done what was right in the eyes of the Lord, and he had not declined from all of the things that he had instructed to him, during all the days of his life, except the matter of Uriah, the Hittite.

6 पूरे जीवन भर रिहोबोयाम और यरोबोअम के बीच युद्ध होता रहा.

Now there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam during the entire time of his life.

7 अबीयाम द्वारा किए गए बाकी काम और वह सब, जो उसने किया, यहूदिया के राजाओं की इतिहास नामक पुस्तक में लिखी हैं. अबीयाम और यरोबोअम में युद्ध होता रहा.

And the rest of the words of Abijam, and all that he did, were these not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Judah? And there was fighting between Abijam and Jeroboam.

8 अबीयाम अपने पूर्वजों के साथ हमेशा के लिए सो गया, और उसे उसके पूर्वजों के साथ दावीद के नगर की कब्र में रखा गया. उसके स्थान पर आसा राजा बना.

And Abijam slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David. And Asa, his son, reigned in his place.

9 राजा यरोबोअम के शासनकाल के बीसवें साल में आसा ने यहूदिया पर शासन करना शुरू किया.

Then, in the twentieth year of Jeroboam, the king of Israel, Asa reigned as king of Judah.

10 उसने येरूशलेम में रहकर एकतालीस साल तक शासन किया. उसकी दादी का नाम था माकाह जो अबीशालोम की पुत्री थी.

And he reigned for forty-one years in Jerusalem. The name of his mother was Maacah, the daughter of Abishalom.

11 आसा ने वह किया, जो याहवेह की दृष्टि में सही था—जैसा उसके मूल पुरुष दावीद ने किया था.

And Asa did what was right before the sight of the Lord, just as his father David did.

12 उसने मंदिरों में से पुरुष वेश्याओं को देश से निकाल दिया और अपने पिता द्वारा गढ़ी गई सारी मूर्तियों को हटवा दिया.

And he took away the effeminate from the land. And he purged all the filth of the idols, which his fathers had made.

13 उसने अपनी दादी माकाह को राजमाता पद से हटा दिया, क्योंकि उसने अशेरा की घृणित मूर्ति बनाकर रखी थी. आसा ने इस मूर्ति को काटकर उसे किद्रोन नदी तट पर राख बना डाला.

Moreover, he also removed his mother, Maacah, from being the leader in the sacrifices of Priapus, and in his sacred grove which she had consecrated. And he destroyed his grotto. And he shattered the very indecent idol, and he burned it at the torrent Kidron.

14 मगर पूजा-गिरियों को हटाया नहीं गया. फिर भी आसा का मन जीवन भर याहवेह के लिए पूरी तरह सच्चा बना रहा.

But the high places, he did not take away. Yet truly, the heart of Asa was perfect with the Lord during all his days.

15 उसने याहवेह के भवन में वे सारी पवित्र वस्तुएं लाकर रख दीं, सोना, चांदी और बर्तन, जो उसके पिता और खुद उसके पास थे.

And he brought the things that his father had sanctified and vowed back to the house of the Lord: the silver, and the gold, and the vessels.

16 आसा और इस्राएल के राजा बाशा के बीच उनके पूरे जीवन भर युद्ध चलता रहा.

Now there was war between Asa and Baasha, the king of Israel, during all their days.

17 इस्राएल के राजा बाशा ने यहूदिया पर हमला कर दिया, और उसने रामाह नगर के चारों ओर किला बनवाया, ताकि इस्राएल का कोई भी व्यक्ति इस्राएल की सीमा से बाहर न जाए और यहूदिया के राजा आसा इस तरफ न पहुंच सके.

And Baasha, the king of Israel, ascended against Judah. And he built up Ramah, so that no one would be able to exit or enter from the side of Asa, the king of Judah.

18 इसके बाद आसा ने याहवेह के भवन में बाकी रह गए सोने और चांदी और राजा के भंडार में बचे हुए सोने और चांदी को लेकर अपने सेवकों को दिया, और उन्हें दमेशेक निवासी हेज़ीऑन के पोते, ताब्रिम्मन के पुत्र बेन-हदद के लिए यह कहते हुए भेज दिया,

And so, Asa took all the silver and the gold which had remained in the treasuries of the house of the Lord, and in the treasuries of the house of the king, and he gave it into the hands of his servants. And he sent them to Benhadad, the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, the king of Syria, who was living in Damascus, saying:

19 “आपके और मेरे बीच एक वाचा बांधी जाए—ठीक जैसी मेरे और आपके पिताओं के बीच थी. मैं उपहार के रूप में आपके लिए सोना और चांदी भेज रहा हूं. आप इस्राएल के राजा बाशा से अपनी वाचा तोड़ दीजिए, कि वह यहां से अपनी सेनाएं हटा ले.”

“There is a pact between me and you, and between my father and your father. For this reason, I have sent to you gifts of silver and of gold. And I ask you to go and break your pact with Baasha, the king of Israel, so that he may withdraw from me.”

20 बेन-हदद राजा आसा के प्रस्ताव से राज़ी हो गया. उसने इस्राएल राज्य के नगरों के विरुद्ध अपने सैन्य अधिकारी भेज दिए. उन्होंने इयोन, दान, बेथ-माकाह के आबेल और पूरे किन्‍नेरेथ को नफताली प्रदेश सहित अपने अधीन कर लिया.

Benhadad, acquiescing to king Asa, sent the leaders of his army against the cities of Israel. And they struck Ijon, and Dan, and Abel, the house of Maacah, and all of Chinneroth, that is, all the land of Naphtali.

21 जब बाशा को यह समाचार प्राप्‍त हुआ, उसने रामाह का गढ़ बनाना रोक कर सारा काम समाप्‍त कर दिया और वह खुद तिरज़ाह में रहता रहा.

And when Baasha had heard this, he ceased from fortifying Ramah, and he returned to Tirzah.

22 इसके बाद राजा आसा ने यहूदिया में सभी के लिए घोषणा की—किसी को छूट नहीं थी—सबने मिलकर राजा बाशा द्वारा लगाई निर्माण-सामग्री, पत्थर और लकड़ी लेकर आसा द्वारा बनाए जा रहे बिन्यामिन और मिज़पाह के गेबा में लगा दी.

Then king Asa sent an announcement to all of Judah, saying, “Let no one be excused.” And they took away the stones from Ramah, and its timber, with which Baasha had fortified it. And from these things, king Asa built up Geba of Benjamin and Mizpah.

23 आसा द्वारा किए गए बाकी काम, उनका शौर्य और उनकी सारी उपलब्धियां और उसके द्वारा बसाए गए नगरों का ब्यौरा यहूदिया के राजाओं की इतिहास नामक पुस्तक में है. उसके बुढ़ापे में उसके पैर रोगग्रस्त हो गए थे.

Now all the rest of the words of Asa, and his entire strength, and all that he did, and the cities that he built, were these not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Judah? Yet truly, in the time of his old age, he was afflicted in his feet.

24 आसा अपने हमेशा के लिए सो गया और उसको उसके पूर्वजों के साथ दावीद के नगर की कब्र में रख दिया गया. उसके स्थान पर उसका पुत्र यहोशाफ़ात राजा बना.

And he slept with his fathers, and he was buried with them in the city of David, his father. And Jehoshaphat, his son, reigned in his place.

25 आसा के शासनकाल के दूसरे साल में यरोबोअम का पुत्र नादाब इस्राएल पर शासन करने लगा. इसने इस्राएल पर दो साल तक शासन किया.

Yet truly, Nadab, the son of Jeroboam, reigned over Israel, in the second year of Asa, the king of Judah. And he reigned over Israel for two years.

26 उसने वही किया, जो याहवेह की दृष्टि में गलत था. उसका स्वभाव उसके पिता के समान ही था. नादाब ने भी इस्राएल से वही पाप करवाए, जो उसके पिता ने उनसे करवाए थे.

And he did what is evil in the sight of the Lord. And he walked in the ways of his father and in his sins, by which he caused Israel to sin.

27 इस्साखार वंश के अहीयाह के पुत्र बाशा ने नादाब के विरुद्ध साजिश रची, और बाशा ने उसे फिलिस्तीनियों की सीमा में, गिब्बथोन नामक स्थान पर, मार गिराया, क्योंकि नादाब ने सारी इस्राएली सेना लेकर गिब्बथोन को घेर रखा था.

Then Baasha, the son of Ahijah, from the house of Issachar, set an ambush against him, and he struck him down at Gibbethon, which is a city of the Philistines. For indeed, Nadab and all of Israel were laying siege to Gibbethon.

28 यह यहूदिया के राजा आसा के शासन का तीसरा साल था, जब बाशा ने नादाब की हत्या की, और उसकी जगह पर राजा हो गया.

And so Baasha killed him in the third year of Asa, the king of Judah, and he reigned in his place.

29 जैसे ही उसने राजपद संभाला, उसने यरोबोअम के सारे वंश का नाश कर दिया, ठीक वैसे ही जैसे याहवेह ने शीलोनवासी अपने सेवक अहीयाह के द्वारा भविष्यवाणी की थी. उसने यरोबोअम के परिवार में एक व्यक्ति भी जीवित न छोड़ा.

And when he had reigned, he struck down the entire house of Jeroboam. He did not leave behind even one soul from his offspring, until he had wiped him away, in accord with the word of the Lord, which he had spoken by the hand of Ahijah, the Shilonite,

30 उन पापों के कारण, जो यरोबोअम ने किए और उनके लिए, जो उसने इस्राएल को करने के लिए उकसाया, उसने याहवेह, इस्राएल के परमेश्वर के क्रोध को भड़काया.

because of the sin of Jeroboam, which he had committed, and by which he had caused Israel to sin, and because of the offense by which he had provoked the Lord, the God of Israel.

31 नादाब द्वारा किए गए बाकी काम और जो उसके काल घटी घटनाएं इस्राएल के राजाओं की इतिहास नामक पुस्तक में लिखा है.

But the rest of the words of Nadab, and all that he did, were these not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?

32 आसा और इस्राएल के राजा बाशा के बीच उनके पूरे जीवन भर युद्ध चलता रहा.

And there was war between Asa and Baasha, the king of Israel, during all their days.

33 यहूदिया के राजा आसा के शासन के तीसरे साल में, तिरज़ाह नगर में अहीयाह के पुत्र बाशा ने सारे इस्राएल पर शासन करना शुरू किया. उसने चौबीस साल शासन किया.

In the third year of Asa, the king of Judah, Baasha, the son of Ahijah, reigned over all of Israel, at Tirzah, for twenty-four years.

34 उसने वह सब किया, जो याहवेह की दृष्टि में गलत था. उसका आचरण और उसके पाप यरोबोअम के समान थे, जो उसने इस्राएल को भी करने के लिए उकसाया.

And he did evil in the sight of the Lord. And he walked in the ways of Jeroboam, and in his sins, by which he caused Israel to sin.
