1 राजा 14

1 उसी समय यरोबोअम का पुत्र अबीयाह बीमार हो गया.

At that time Abiiah the sonne of Ieroboam fell sicke.

2 यरोबोअम ने अपनी पत्नी से कहा, “ऐसा भेष बदलो, कि कोई भी तुम्हें पहचान न सके, कि तुम यरोबोअम की पत्नी हो. और तुम शीलो को चली जाओ, जहां भविष्यद्वक्ता अहीयाह रहते हैं. यह वही भविष्यद्वक्ता हैं, जिन्होंने मेरे विषय में यह भविष्यवाणी की थी, मैं ही इस प्रजा का राजा बन जाऊंगा.

And Ieroboam saide vnto his wife, Vp, I pray thee, and disguise thy selfe, that they know not that thou art the wife of Ieroboam, and goe to Shiloh: for there is Ahiiah the Prophet, which tolde mee that I shoulde bee King ouer this people,

3 अपने साथ दस रोटियां, कुछ टिकियां और एक कुप्पी शहद लेकर उनसे भेंटकरने चली जाओ. वही तुम्हें बताएंगे कि बालक का क्या होगा.”

And take with thee tenne loaues and craknels, and a bottell of honie, and go to him: hee shall tell thee what shall become of the yong man.

4 यरोबोअम की पत्नी ने ऐसा ही किया. वह तैयार हो शीलो नगर में अहीयाह के घर पर जा पहुंची. बूढ़ा होने के कारण अहीयाह की नज़रें धुंधली पड़ चुकी थी, और वह देख नहीं सकता था.

And Ieroboams wife did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahiiah: but Ahiiah could not see, for his sight was decayed for his age.

5 मगर याहवेह ने अहीयाह को पूर्वसूचित किया, “यरोबोअम की पत्नी तुमसे अपने पुत्र की स्थिति के विषय में पूछताछ करने आ रही है. यह बालक अस्वस्थ है. तुम उसे ऐसा और ऐसा जवाब देना है.” जब वह भविष्यद्वक्ता के निकट पहुंची, उसने अन्य स्त्री होने का बहाना किया.

Then the Lord saide vnto Ahiiah, Beholde, the wife of Ieroboam commeth to aske a thing of thee for her sonne, for he is sicke: thus and thus shalt thou say vnto her: for when shee commeth in, shee shall feine her selfe to be another.

6 अहीयाह उसके पदचाप सुन रहे थे. जैसे ही वह द्वार पर पहुंची, अहीयाह ने पुकारते हुए कहा, “श्रीमती यरोबोअम, भीतर आ जाइए. क्या लाभ है आपके वेष बदलने का? मुझे आपको अप्रिय समाचार देने का दायित्व सौंपा गया है.

Therefore when Ahiiah heard the sounde of her feete as shee came in at the doore, hee saide, Come in, thou wife of Ieroboam: why feinest thou thus thy selfe to bee an other? I am sent to thee with heauie tidings.

7 जाकर यरोबोअम को सूचित कर दीजिए, ‘याहवेह, इस्राएल के परमेश्वर का यह संदेश है, मैंने सारी प्रजा में से तुम्हें चुनकर उन्‍नत किया, तुम्हें अपनी प्रजा का प्रधान नियुक्त किया.

Goe, tel Ieroboam, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Forasmuch as I haue exalted thee from among the people, and haue made thee prince ouer my people Israel,

8 और दावीद के वंश से राज्य छीनकर तुम्हें दे दिया है; फिर भी तुम मेरे सेवक दावीद के समान साबित न हुए, जिसने मेरे आदेशों का पालन किया और पूरे मन से मेरा अनुसरण करता रहा—सिर्फ वही करता रहा, जो मेरी दृष्टि में सही है;

And haue rent the kingdome away from the house of Dauid, and haue giuen it thee, and thou hast not bene as my seruant Dauid, which kept my commandements, and followed mee with all his heart, and did onely that which was right in mine eyes,

9 मगर तुमने तो ऐसी बुराई की है, जो तुमसे पहले हुए उनसे भी बुरी है; तुमने अपने लिए पराए देवता बना लिए, धातु की मूर्तियां गढ़ लीं और मेरे क्रोध को भड़का दिया. तुमने तो मुझे अपने ही पीछे फेंक दिया है.

But hast done euil aboue al that were before thee (for thou hast gone and made thee other gods, and molten images, to prouoke me, and hast cast me behinde thy backe)

10 “‘इसलिये मैं यरोबोअम के परिवार पर मुसीबत ड़ाल दूंगा. मैं यरोबोअम के वंश से हर एक पुरुष को नाश कर दूंगा, चाहे वह इस्राएल में बंधुआ हो या स्वतंत्र. मैं यरोबोअम के परिवार को उसी प्रकार भस्म कर दूंगा जिस प्रकार कोई गोबर को पूरी तरह भस्म कर फेंक देता है.

Therefore beholde, I will bring euill vpon the house of Ieroboam, and will cut off from Ieroboam him that pisseth against the wall, aswell him that is shut vp, as him that is left in Israel, and will sweepe away the remnant of the house of Ieroboam, as a man sweepeth away doung, till it be all gone.

11 यदि यरोबोअम के किसी भी संबंधी की मृत्यु नगर के भीतर होती है, तो उसका शव कुत्ते खा जाएंगे; यदि किसी की मृत्यु खुले मैदान में होती है, तो वह आकाश के पक्षियों का आहार हो जाएगा; यह याहवेह का संदेश है!’

The dogges shall eate him of Ieroboams stocke that dyeth in the citie, and the foules of the aire shall eate him that dyeth in the fielde: for the Lord hath said it.

12 “इसलिये अब उठो और अपने घर लौट जाओ. तुम्हारे नगर में प्रवेश करते ही बालक की मृत्यु हो जाएगी.

Vp therefore and get thee to thine house: for when thy feete enter into the citie, the childe shall die.

13 पूरा इस्राएल उसके लिए विलाप करेगा, और फिर उसे गाड़ा जाएगा; सिर्फ वह अकेला होगा जिसे यरोबोअम के परिवार में कब्र मिलेगी; क्योंकि याहवेह, इस्राएल के परमेश्वर ने सारे यरोबोअम परिवार से सिर्फ उसी में कुछ भला पाया है.

And al Israel shall mourne for him, and burie him: for he onely of Ieroboam shall come to the graue, because in him there is found some goodnes towarde the Lord God of Israel in the house of Ieroboam.

14 “इसके अलावा आज ही याहवेह अपने लिए इस्राएल में से एक राजा पैदा करेंगे, जो यरोबोअम के परिवार को आज ही हमेशा के लिए मिटा देगा.

Moreouer, the Lord shall stirre him vp a King ouer Israel, which shall destroy the house of Ieroboam in that day: what? yea, euen nowe.

15 इसके बाद याहवेह इस्राएल पर वैसा ही वार करेंगे, जैसा जल में सरकंडा. वह इस समृद्ध भूमि पर से इस्राएल को उखाड़कर छोड़ेंगे—उस भूमि पर से, जो उन्होंने उनके पूर्वजों को दी थी. वह उन्हें फरात नदी के पार तक बिखरा देंगे, क्योंकि उन्होंने अशेरा खंभे गढ़ कर याहवेह को क्रोधित कर दिया है.

For the Lord shall smite Israel, as when a reede is shaken in the water, and hee shall weede Israel out of his good lad, which he gaue to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the Riuer, because they haue made them groues, prouoking the Lord to anger.

16 यरोबोअम द्वारा किए गए पापों के कारण याहवेह इस्राएल को छोड़ देंगे, वे पाप काम जो खुद यरोबोअम किए और जिनके द्वारा उसने इस्राएल को पाप करने लिए उकसाया.”

And he shall giue Israel vp, because of the sinnes of Ieroboam, who did sinne, and made Israel to sinne.

17 तब यरोबोअम की पत्नी वहां से विदा हो गई, और अपने नगर तिरज़ाह पहुंची. उसने अपने घर की डेवढ़ी पर पैर रखा ही था, कि उसका पुत्र मर गया.

And Ieroboams wife arose, and departed, and came to Tirzah, and when shee came to the threshold of the house, the yong man dyed,

18 सारे इस्राएल ने उसका अंतिम संस्कार किया, उसके लिए विलाप किया, ठीक जैसा याहवेह ने अपने सेवक भविष्यद्वक्ता अहीयाह के द्वारा कहा गया था.

And they buried him, and all Israel lamented him; according to the word of the Lord, which hee spake by the hand of his seruant Ahiiah the Prophet.

19 यरोबोअम के बाकी काम, यानी उसने युद्ध कैसे किया और उसने किस प्रकार शासन किया, इनका ब्यौरा इस्राएल के राजाओं की इतिहास की पुस्तक में लिखा है.

And the rest of Ieroboams actes, how hee warred, and howe hee reigned, beholde, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

20 यरोबोअम का पूरा शासनकाल बाईस साल का था. फिर वह अपने पूर्वजों के साथ हमेशा के लिए सो गया. उसकी जगह पर उसका पुत्र नादाब राजा बना.

And the dayes which Ieroboam reigned, were two and twentie yeere: and he slept with his fathers, and Nadab his sonne reigned in his steade.

21 इस समय यहूदिया का शासक था शलोमोन का पुत्र रिहोबोयाम. जिस समय उसने शासन शुरू किया, उसकी उम्र एकतालीस साल की थी. येरूशलेम में उसने सत्रह साल शासन किया. येरूशलेम वह नगर है, जिसे याहवेह ने सारे इस्राएल में से इसलिये चुना, कि इसमें अपना नाम की प्रतिष्ठा करें. उसकी माता का नाम था नामाह जो अम्मोनी थी.

Also Rehoboam the sonne of Salomon reigned in Iudah. Rehoboam was one and fourtie yere olde, when he began to reigne, and reigned seuenteene yere in Ierusalem, the citie which the Lord did chuse out of al the tribes of Israel, to put his Name there: and his mothers name was Naamah an Ammonite.

22 यहूदिया प्रदेश ने वह किया, जो याहवेह की नज़रों में गलत था. उन्होंने अपने पापों के द्वारा याहवेह में इतनी जलन पैदा कर दी, जितनी उनके किसी भी पूर्वज ने कभी न की थी.

And Iudah wrought wickednesse in the sight of the Lord: and they prouoked him more with their sinnes, which they had committed, then all that which their fathers had done.

23 उन्होंने भी अपने लिए पूजा की जगह, हर एक ऊंची पहाड़ी और हर एक घने पेड़ के नीचे पूजा-स्तम्भ और अशेराह के खंभे बनवाए थे.

For they also made them hie places, and images, and groues on euery hie hill, and vnder euery greene tree.

24 देश में पुरुषगामियों के लिए पुरुष वेश्या भी मंदिरों में रखे गए थे. ये सब उन सारे घृणित कामों में संलग्न थे, जो उन जातियों में किए जाते थे, जिन्हें याहवेह ने इस्राएल के सामने से भगा दिया था.

There were also Sodomites in the lande, they did according to all the abominations of the nations, which the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel.

25 राजा रिहोबोयाम के शासनकाल के पांचवें साल में मिस्र के राजा शिशाक ने येरूशलेम पर हमला कर दिया.

And in the fift yere of King Rehoboam, Shishak King of Egypt came vp against Ierusale,

26 उसने याहवेह के भवन से और राजा का महल में से सारा कीमती सामान लूट लिया. वह सभी कुछ अपने साथ ले गया, यहां तक कि शलोमोन द्वारा गढ़ी गई सारी सोने की ढालें भी.

And tooke the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the Kings house, and tooke away all: also he caried away all the shields of golde which Salomon had made.

27 तब राजा रिहोबोयाम ने उनकी जगह पर कांसे में गढ़ी गई ढालें वहां रख दीं. इनकी जवाबदारी रिहोबोयाम ने राजघराने के पहरेदारों के प्रधान को सौंप दी.

And King Rehoboam made for them brasen shieldes, and committed them vnto ye hands of the chiefe of the garde, which wayted at the doore of the Kings house.

28 तब रीति यह बन गई कि जब-जब राजा याहवेह के भवन को जाता था, पहरेदार ये ढालें लेकर चलते थे और राजा के वहां से लौटने पर इन्हें पहरेदारों के कमरों में दोबारा रख दिया जाता था.

And when the King went into the house of the Lord, the garde bare them, and brought them againe into the gard chamber.

29 रिहोबोयाम के बाकी काम और उसके सारे कृत्य यहूदिया के राजाओं की इतिहास की पुस्तक में लिखे हैं.

And the rest of the actes of Rehoboam, and all that hee did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?

30 रिहोबोयाम और यरोबोअम हमेशा ही आपस में युद्ध करते रहे.

And there was warre betweene Rehoboam and Ieroboam continually.

31 रिहोबोयाम अपने पूर्वजों के समान हमेशा के लिए सो गया. उसे उसके पूर्वजों के साथ दावीद के नगर की कब्र में रखा गया. उसकी माता का नाम नामाह था. वह अम्मोनी थी. उसके स्थान पर उसका पुत्र अबीयाम राजा बना.

And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the citie of Dauid: his mothers name was Naamah an Ammonite. And Abiiam his sonne reigned in his stead.
