1 कुरिन्थियों 1
1 परमेश्वर की इच्छा के अनुसार मसीह येशु के लिए बुलाए गए प्रेरित पौलॉस तथा हमारे भाई सोस्थेनेस की ओर से.
Paul, called [to be] an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes [our] brother,
2 कोरिन्थॉस नगर में स्थापित परमेश्वर की कलीसिया को वे, जो मसीह येशु में पवित्र किए गए हैं तथा जिनका उन सबके समान, जो हर जगह हमारे तथा उनके प्रभु येशु मसीह की स्तुति करते हैं, पवित्र लोगों के रूप में बुलाये गये हैं:
Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called [to be] saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:
3 तुम सबको हमारे पिता परमेश्वर तथा प्रभु येशु मसीह की ओर से अनुग्रह तथा शांति.
Grace [be] unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and [from] the Lord Jesus Christ.
4 मसीह येशु में तुम्हें दिए गए परमेश्वर के अनुग्रह के लिए मैं तुम्हारे लिए परमेश्वर के प्रति निरंतर धन्यवाद करता हूं.
I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;
5 क्योंकि तुम मसीह येशु में सब प्रकार से सम्पन्न किए गए हो, सारे ज्ञान और उसकी हर बात में;
That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and [in] all knowledge;
6 ठीक जिस प्रकार तुममें मसीह येशु के संदेश की पुष्टि भी हुई है.
Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
7 परिणामस्वरूप इस समय, जब तुम हमारे प्रभु येशु मसीह के प्रकट होने की उत्सुकतापूर्वक प्रतीक्षा कर रहे हो, तुममें पवित्र आत्मा के द्वारा किसी भी आत्मिक क्षमता का अभाव नहीं है.
So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:
8 वही मसीह येशु तुम्हें अंत तक दृढ़ बनाए रखेंगे कि तुम हमारे प्रभु येशु मसीह के दिन निर्दोष पाए जाओ.
Who shall also confirm you unto the end, [that ye may be] blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 परमेश्वर विश्वासयोग्य हैं, जिनके द्वारा तुम्हारा बुलावा उनके पुत्र, मसीह येशु हमारे प्रभु की संगति में किया गया है.
God [is] faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
10 प्रिय भाई बहिनो, अपने प्रभु येशु मसीह के नाम में मेरी तुमसे विनती है, कि तुममें आपसी मेल हो, फूट कहीं भी न हो, तुम मन तथा मत में एक हो.
Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and [that] there be no divisions among you; but [that] ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
11 क्योंकि तुम्हारे विषय में, प्रिय भाई बहिनो, क्लोए परिवार के कुछ सदस्यों द्वारा मुझे यह संकेत दिया गया है कि तुम्हारे मध्य झगड़ा चल रहा है.
For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them [which are of the house] of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.
12 मेरे कहने का मतलब यह है कि तुममें हर एक का मत अलग है: कोई कहता है, “मैं पौलॉस का शिष्य हूं,” कोई, “मैं अपोल्लॉस का,” तो कोई, “मैं कैफ़स का,” या “मैं मसीह का शिष्य हूं.”
Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.
13 क्या मसीह का बंटवारा कर दिया गया है? क्या तुम्हारे लिए पौलॉस को क्रूसित किया गया था? या तुम्हारा बपतिस्मा पौलॉस के नाम में किया गया था?
Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?
14 मैं परमेश्वर का आभारी हूं कि क्रिस्पॉस तथा गायॉस के अतिरिक्त तुममें से किसी को भी मैंने बपतिस्मा नहीं दिया,
I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;
15 कि कोई भी यह न कह पाए कि तुम्हें मेरे नाम में बपतिस्मा दिया गया.
Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.
16 (हां, मैंने स्तेफ़ानॉस के परिवार को भी बपतिस्मा दिया है किंतु इसके अलावा मैंने किसी अन्य को बपतिस्मा दिया हो, इसका मुझे ध्यान नहीं.)
And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.
17 मसीह येशु ने मुझे बपतिस्मा देने के लिए नहीं परंतु ईश्वरीय सुसमाचार प्रचार के लिए चुना है—वह भी शब्दों के ज्ञान के अनुसार नहीं, ऐसा न हो कि मसीह का क्रूस उसकी सामर्थ्य से व्यर्थ हो जाए.
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
18 क्रूस का संदेश उनके लिए, जो नाश होने पर हैं, मूर्खता है किंतु हमारे लिए, जो उद्धार के मार्ग पर हैं, परमेश्वर का सामर्थ्य है.
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
19 जैसा कि पवित्र शास्त्र का लेख है: “मैं ज्ञानियों का ज्ञान नाश कर दूंगा; तथा समझदारों की समझ को शून्य.”
For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
20 कहां है ज्ञानी? कहां है शास्त्री? और कहां है इस युग का विवादी? क्या परमेश्वर के सामने संसार का सारा ज्ञान मूर्खता नहीं है? (aiōn g165)
Where [is] the wise? where [is] the scribe? where [is] the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? (aiōn g165)
21 अपने ज्ञान के अनुसार परमेश्वर ने यह असंभव बना दिया कि मानव अपने ज्ञान के द्वारा उन्हें जान सके, इसलिये परमेश्वर को यह अच्छा लगा कि मनुष्यों के अनुसार मूर्खता के इस संदेश के प्रचार का उपयोग उन सबके उद्धार के लिए करें, जो विश्वास करते हैं.
For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
22 यहूदी चमत्कार चिह्नों की मांग करते हैं और यूनानी ज्ञान के खोजी हैं,
For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
23 किंतु हम प्रचार करते हैं क्रूसित मसीह का, जो यहूदियों के लिए ठोकर का कारण हैं तथा गैर-यहूदियों के लिए मूर्खता,
But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
24 किंतु बुलाए हुओं, यहूदी या यूनानी दोनों ही के लिए यही मसीह परमेश्वर का सामर्थ्य तथा परमेश्वर का ज्ञान हैं.
But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
25 क्योंकि परमेश्वर की मूर्खता मनुष्यों की बुद्धि से कहीं अधिक बुद्धिमान, तथा परमेश्वर की दुर्बलता मनुष्यों के बल से कहीं अधिक बलवान है.
Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
26 प्रिय भाई बहिनो, याद करो कि जब तुम्हें बुलाया गया, उस समय अनेकों में न तो शरीर के अनुसार ज्ञान था, न ही बल और न ही कुलीनता.
For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, [are called]:
27 ज्ञानवानों को लज्जित करने के लिए परमेश्वर ने उनको चुना, जो संसार की दृष्टि में मूर्ख है तथा शक्तिशालियों को लज्जित करने के लिए उसको, जो संसार की दृष्टि में दुर्बल है.
But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
28 परमेश्वर ने उनको चुना, जो संसार की दृष्टि में नीचा है, तुच्छ है और जो है ही नहीं कि उसे व्यर्थ कर दें, जो महत्वपूर्ण समझी जाती है,
And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, [yea], and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
29 कि कोई भी मनुष्य परमेश्वर के सामने घमंड न करे.
That no flesh should glory in his presence.
30 परमेश्वर के द्वारा किए गए काम के फलस्वरूप तुम मसीह येशु में हो, जो परमेश्वर की ओर से हमारा ज्ञान, धार्मिकता, पवित्रता तथा छुड़ौती बन गए.
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
31 पवित्र शास्त्र का लेख है: “जो गर्व करता है, वह परमेश्वर में गर्व करे.”
That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
