1 आदम, शेत, एनोश,
Adam, Seth, Enosh:
2 केनान, माहालालेल, यारेद,
Kenan, Mahalalel, Jared:
3 हनोख, मेथुसेलाह, लामेख, नोआ.
Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech:
4 नोआ के पुत्र: शेम, हाम और याफेत.
Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
5 याफेत के पुत्र: गोमर, मागोग, मेदिया, यावन, तूबल, मेशेख तथा तिरास थे.
The sons of Japheth, Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech and Tiras.
6 गोमर के पुत्र: अश्केनाज, रिफात तथा तोगरमाह थे.
And, the sons of Gomer, Ashkenaz, and Diphath, and Togarmah.
7 यावन के पुत्र: एलिशाह, तरशीश, कित्तिम तथा दोदानिम थे.
And, the sons of Javan, Elishah, and Tarshish, —Kittim, and Rodanim.
8 हाम के पुत्र: कूश, मिस्र, पूट तथा कनान हुए.
The sons of Ham, Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.
9 कूश के पुत्र: सेबा, हाविलाह, सबताह, रामाह और सबतेका. रामाह के पुत्र: शीबा और देदान.
And, the sons of Cush, Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raama, and Sabteca. And, the sons of Raamah, Sheba, and Dedan.
10 कूश उस निमरोद का पिता था जो पृथ्वी पर पहले वीर व्यक्ति के रूप में मशहूर हुआ.
And, Cush, begat Nimrod, —he, began to be a mighty one in the earth.
11 मिस्र के पुत्र: लूदिम, अनामिम, लेहाबिम, नाफतुहि,
And, Mizraim, begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,
12 पथरूस, कस्लूह और काफ़तोर (जिनसे फिलिस्तीनी राष्ट्र निकले).
and Pathrusim, and Casluhim—whence went forth the Philistines, and Caphtorim.
13 कनान का पहला पुत्र सीदोन फिर हित्ती,
And, Canaan, begat Zidon his firstborn, and Heth;
14 यबूसी, अमोरी, गिर्गाशी,
and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite;
15 हिव्वी, आरकी, सीनी,
and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite;
16 अरवादी, ज़ेमारी और हामाथी.
and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.
17 शेम के पुत्र: एलाम, अशहूर, अरफाक्साद, लूद तथा अराम थे. अराम के पुत्र: उज़, हूल, गेथर तथा मेशेख थे.
The sons of Shem, Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram, —and Uz, and Hul, and Gethur, and Meshech.
18 अरफाक्साद शेलाह का पिता था, शेलाह एबर का.
And, Arpachshad, begat Shelah, —and, Shelah, begat Eber.
19 एबर के दो पुत्र हुए: एक का नाम पेलेग, क्योंकि उनके समय में पृथ्वी का बंटवारा हुआ. उनके भाई का नाम योकतान था.
And, unto Eber, were born two sons, —the name of the one, was Peleg, for, in his days, was the earth divided, and, the name of his brother, was Joktan.
20 योकतान के पुत्र: अलमोदाद, शेलेफ, हासारमेबेथ, जेराह,
And, Joktan, begat Almodad, and Sheleph, —and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah;
21 हादरोम, उजाल, दिखलाह,
and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah;
22 ओबाल, अबीमाएल, शीबा,
and Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba;
23 ओफीर, हाविलाह और योबाब. ये सभी योकतान के पुत्र थे.
and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these, were the sons of Joktan.
24 शेम, अरफाक्साद, शेलाह,
Shem, Arpachshad, Shelah;
25 एबर, पेलेग, रेउ,
Eber, Peleg, Reu;
26 सेरुग, नाहोर, तेराह,
Serug, Nahor, Terah;
27 अब्राम (अर्थात् अब्राहाम).
Abram—the same, is Abraham.
28 अब्राहाम के पुत्र थे: यित्सहाक और इशमाएल.
The sons of Abraham, Isaac and Ishmael.
29 उनकी वंशावली इस प्रकार है: इशमाएल का पहलौठा था: नेबाइयोथ और दूसरे पुत्र थे, केदार, अदबील, मिबसाम,
These, are their generations, —the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth, then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam;
30 मिशमा, दूमाह, मास्सा, हदद, तेमा,
Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema;
31 येतुर, नाफिश और केदेमाह. ये इशमाएल के पुत्र थे.
Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These, are the sons of Ishmael.
32 केतुराह जो अब्राहाम की रखैल थी, उसके पुत्र थे: ज़िमरान, योकशान, मेदान, मिदियान, इशबक और शुआह. योकशान के पुत्र थे, शीबा और देदान.
And, the sons of Keturah, the concubine of Abraham, she bare Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah, —and, the sons of Jokshan, Sheba, and Dedan;
33 मिदियान के पुत्र: एफाह, एफ़र, हनोख, अविदा तथा एलदाह थे. ये सब केतुराह से पैदा हुए थे.
and, the sons of Midian, Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these, were the sons of Keturah.
34 अब्राहाम यित्सहाक के पिता थे. यित्सहाक के पुत्र थे: एसाव और इस्राएल.
So then Abraham begat Isaac, —the sons of Isaac, were Esau and Israel.
35 एसाव के पुत्र थे: एलिफाज़, रियुएल, योउश, यालम और कोराह.
the sons of Esau, Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah.
36 एलिफाज़ के पुत्र थे: तेमान, ओमर, ज़ेफो, गाताम, केनाज़; तिम्ना और अमालेक.
The sons of Eliphaz, Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.
37 रियुएल के पुत्र थे: नाहाथ, ज़ेराह, शम्माह और मिज्जाह.
The sons of Reuel, Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.
38 सेईर के पुत्र थे: लोतन, शोबल, ज़िबेओन, अनाह, दिशोन, एज़र और दिशान.
And, the sons of Seir, Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, —and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
39 लोतन के पुत्र: होरी और होमाम. लोतन की बहन का नाम तिम्ना था.
And, the sons of Lotan, Hori, and Homam, —and, Lotan’s sister, was Timna.
40 शोबल के पुत्र थे: अलवान, मानाहाथ, एबल, शेफो और ओनम. ज़िबेओन के पुत्र: अइयाह और अनाह.
The sons of Shobal, Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi and Onam. And, the sons of Zibeon, Aiah and Anah.
41 अनाह का पुत्र था दिशोन. दिशोन के पुत्र: हेमदान, एशबान, इथरान और चेरन.
The sons of Anah, Dishon, —and, the sons of Dishon, Hamran, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
42 एज़र के पुत्र: बिलहान, त्सावन और आकन. दिशान के पुत्र: उज़ और अरान.
The sons of Ezer, Bilhan, and Zaavan, Jaakan. The sons of Dishan, Uz and Aran.
43 इसके पहले कि इस्राएल पर किसी राजा का शासन होता, एदोम देश पर राज्य करनेवाले राजा ये थे: बेओर का पुत्र बेला, उसके द्वारा शासित नगर का नाम था दिनहाबाह.
Now, these, are the kings, who reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned a king of the sons of Israel, —Bela the son of Beor, and, the name of his city, was Dinhabah.
44 बेला के मरने के बाद, उसके स्थान पर बोज़राहवासी ज़ेराह का पुत्र योबाब राजा बना.
And Bela died, —and there reigned in his stead, Jobab son of Zerah, of Bozrah.
45 योबाब के मरने के बाद, उसके स्थान पर तेमानियों के देश का व्यक्ति हुशम राजा बना.
And Jobab died, —and there reigned in his stead, Husham, of the land of the Temanites.
46 हुशम के मरने के बाद, उसके स्थान पर बेदद का पुत्र हदद राजा बना. उसने मोआब देश में मिदियानी सेना को हरा दिया. उसके द्वारा शासित नगर का नाम था आविथ.
And Husham died, —and there reigned in his stead, Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, and, the name of his city, was Avith.
47 हदद के मरने के बाद, उसके स्थान पर मसरेकाह का सामलाह राजा बना.
And Hadad died, —and there reigned in his stead, Samlah of Masrekah.
48 सामलाह के मरने के बाद, फरात नदी पर बसे रेहोबोथ का निवासी शाऊल उनके स्थान पर राजा बना.
And Samlah died, —and there reigned in his stead, Shaul, of Rehoboth by the River.
49 शाऊल के मरने के बाद, उसके स्थान पर अखबोर का पुत्र बाल-हनन राजा बना.
And Shaul died, —and there reigned in his stead, Baal-hanan, the son of Achbor.
50 बाल-हनन मरने के बाद, उसके स्थान पर हदद राजा बना. उस नगर का नाम पाऊ था तथा उसकी पत्नी का नाम मेहेताबेल था. वह मातरेद की पुत्री थी और मातरेद मेत्साहब की पुत्री थी.
And Baal-hanan died, —and there reigned in his stead, Hadad, and, the name of his city, was Pai, —and, the name of his wife, was Mehetabel, daughter of Matred, daughter of Mezahab.
51 तब हदद की भी मृत्यु हो गई. एदोम देश के नायकों के नाम ये है: नायक तिम्ना, अलवाह, यथेथ,
And Hadad died. And there were chiefs of Edom: chief Timna, chief Aliah, chief Jetheth;
52 ओहोलिबामाह, एलाह, पिनोन,
chief Oholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon;
53 केनाज़, तेमान, मिबज़ार,
chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar;
54 मगदिएल, इराम. ये सभी एदोम देश के प्रधान हुए.
chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These, were the chiefs of Edom.
