1 इस प्रकार पूरे इस्राएल का नाम वंशावली में पूरा-पूरा लिख लिया गया. यह इस्राएल के राजा नामक पुस्तक में लिखा गया था. अपने विश्वासघात के कारण यहूदिया को बंधुआई में बाबेल ले जाया गया.

So all Israel were reckoned by genealogies; and, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel; and Judah was carried away captive to Babylon because of their transgression.

2 वे, जो बंधुआई से लौटे, उनमें सबसे पहले वे थे, जो अपने-अपने नगरों में अपनी ही संपत्ति में आकर बसे थे, उनमें कुछ इस्राएली थे, कुछ पुरोहित थे, कुछ लेवी थे और कुछ मंदिर में सेवा के लिए ठहराए गए सेवक थे.

Now the first inhabitants that dwelt in their possessions in their cities were, Israelites, the priests, the Levites, and the Nethinim.

3 कुछ यहूदिया के रहनेवाले बंधुए, कुछ बिन्यामिन के वंशज और कुछ एफ्राईम और मनश्शेह के वंशज आकर येरूशलेम में बस गए.

And in Jerusalem dwelt of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim and Manasseh:

4 उथाई, जो अम्मीहूद का पुत्र था, जो ओमरी का, जो इमरी का, जो बानी का, जो पेरेज़ के पुत्रों में से था, जो यहूदाह का पुत्र था.

Uthai the son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Perez the son of Judah.

5 शीलोनी वंश के लोगों में से: पहलौठा असाइयाह और उसके पुत्र.

And of the Shilonites: Asaiah the first-born and his sons.

6 ज़ेराह के पुत्रों में से: येउएल और उसके 690 संबंधी.

And of the sons of Zerah: Jeuel, and their brethren, six hundred and ninety.

7 बिन्यामिन वंश से: सल्लू, जो मेशुल्लाम का पुत्र था, जो होदवियाह का पुत्र था, जो हस्सनुआह का पुत्र था;

And of the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hassenuah,

8 इबनियाह येरोहाम का पुत्र था; एलाह जो उज्जी का पुत्र था, जो मिकरी का पुत्र था. और मेशुल्लाम शेपाथियाह का, जो रियुएल का, इबनियाह जेरोहाम का पुत्र था.

and Ibneiah the son of Jeroham, and Elah the son of Uzzi, the son of Michri, and Meshullam the son of Shephatiah, the son of Reuel, the son of Ibneiah;

9 पीढ़ियों की वंशावली के अनुसार ये बिन्यामिन वंश कुल 956 थे. पितरों के गोत्रों की वंशावली के अनुसार ये सभी अपने-अपने गोत्र के प्रधान थे.

and their brethren, according to their generations, nine hundred and fifty and six. All these men were heads of fathers' houses by their fathers' houses.

10 पुरोहितों में से: येदाइयाह; यहोइयारिब; याकिन;

And of the priests: Jedaiah, and Jehoiarib, and Jachin;

11 और अज़रियाह जो हिलकियाह का पुत्र था, जो मेशुल्लाम का, जो सादोक का, मेराइओथ का और जो अहीतूब का, जो परमेश्वर के भवन का मुख्य अधिकारी था;

and Azariah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the ruler of the house of God;

12 और अदाइयाह, जो येरोहाम का, जो पशहूर का, जो मालखियाह का; जो मआसाई का, जो आदिएल का, जो याहत्सेरहा का, जो मेशुल्लाम का, जो मेशिलेमिथ का, जो इम्मर का पुत्र था.

and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah, and Maasai the son of Adiel, the son of Jahzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer;

13 उनके रिश्तेदारों के अलावा, उनके पितरों के कुलों के प्रमुख ये 1,760 बलवान व्यक्ति परमेश्वर के भवन में सेवा के लिए तैयार व्यक्ति थे.

and their brethren, heads of their fathers' houses, a thousand and seven hundred and threescore; very able men for the work of the service of the house of God.

14 लेवियों में से: शेमायाह, जो हस्षूब का पुत्र था, जो अज़रीकाम का, जो हशाबियाह का, जो मेरारी का पुत्र था;

And of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari;

15 बकबक्कर, हेरेश, गलाल और मत्तनियाह, जो मीका का पुत्र था, जो ज़ीकरी का, जो आसफ का पुत्र था;

and Bakbakkar, Heresh, and Galal, and Mattaniah the son of Mica, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph;

16 और ओबदिया, जो शेमायाह का, जो गलाल का, जो यदूथून का; और बेरेखियाह, जो आसा का, जो एलकाना का, जो नेतोफ़ाथियों के गांवों में निवास करता रहा था.

and Obadiah the son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun, and Berechiah the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, that dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.

17 द्वारपाल थे: शल्लूम, अक्कूब, तालमोन, अहीमान और उनके संबंधी, जिनमें शल्लूम सबका प्रधान था.

And the porters: Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brother Shallum the chief;

18 वे सभी अब तक राजा के पूर्वी द्वार पर चुने जाने के कारण लेवियों के शिविरों के द्वारपाल रहे.

who hitherto waited in the king's gate eastward; they were the porters for the camp of the children of Levi.

19 शल्लूम, जो कोरे का पुत्र था, जो एबीआसफ़ का, जो कोराह का और उसके पिता के परिवार के संबंधी, कोराह के वंशज सेवा करने के अधिकारी थे. वे शिविर की ड्योढ़ी के लिए के लिए चुने गए थे; ठीक जिस प्रकार उनके पूर्वज याहवेह के शिविर के अधिकारी थे, यानी फाटक के.

And Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brethren, of his father's house, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the gates of the Tent; and their fathers had been over the camp of the LORD, keepers of the entry;

20 इसके पहले एलिएज़र का पुत्र फिनिहास इन सबके ऊपर प्रधान अधिकारी रहा. याहवेह उसके साथ रहता था.

and Phinehas the son of Eleazar was ruler over them in time past, the LORD being with him.

21 मिलनवाले तंबू के द्वार पर मेषेलेमियाह के पुत्र ज़करयाह को द्वारपाल रखा गया था.

Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was porter of the door of the tent of meeting.

22 ड्योढ़ी के लिए चुने गए ये द्वारपाल गिनती में 212 थे. उनकी गिनती उनके गांवों की वंशावली में की गई है. दावीद और दर्शी शमुएल ने इनको विश्वासयोग्य देखकर इन्हें इस पद पर ठहराया था.

All these that were chosen to be porters in the gates were two hundred and twelve. These were reckoned by genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer did ordain in their set office.

23 ये सब और इनके पुत्र याहवेह के भवन के द्वारों के अधिकारी थे अर्थात् तंबू के पहरेदार.

So they and their children had the oversight of the gates of the house of the LORD, even the house of the Tent, by wards.

24 ये द्वारपाल पूर्व, पश्चिम, उत्तर और दक्षिण, चारों दिशाओं में ठहराए गए थे.

On the four sides were the porters, toward the east, west, north, and south.

25 हर सप्‍ताह उनके गांवों से उनके भाई-बंधुओं का वहां आकर उनके साथ रहना तय था.

And their brethren, in their villages, were to come in every seven days from time to time to be with them;

26 क्योंकि चार प्रमुख द्वारपालों को, जो विश्वास्य लेवी थे, परमेश्वर के भवन के कमरों और खजाने की जवाबदारी सौंपी गई थी.

for the four chief porters were in a set office. These were the Levites. They were also over the chambers and over the treasuries in the house of God.

27 रात में वे परमेश्वर के भवन के आस-पास ही रहते थे, क्योंकि इसकी रक्षा करना और इसे हर सुबह खोलने की चाबी उन्हीं की जवाबदारी में थी.

And they lodged round about the house of God, because the charge thereof was upon them, and to them pertained the opening thereof morning by morning.

28 इनमें से कुछ बलि चढ़ाने वाले बर्तनों के अधिकारी थे, क्योंकि जब ये बाहर ले जाए जाते और लौटाए जाते थे, उनकी गिनती करना ज़रूरी होता था.

And certain of them had charge of the vessels of service; for by tale were they brought in and by tale were they taken out.

29 इनमें से अन्यों को मेजों, सभी पवित्र बर्तनों, साथ ही मैदा, अंगूर के रस, तेल, गन्धरस और मसालों के प्रबंध के लिए चुना गया था.

Some of them also were appointed over the furniture, and over all the holy vessels, and over the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.

30 पुरोहितों के दूसरे पुत्रों की जवाबदारी थी इस्तेमाल के लिए मसालों को तैयार करना,

And some of the sons of the priests prepared the confection of the spices.

31 एक लेवी, कोराहवंशी शल्लूम के पहलौठे मत्तीथियाह की जवाबदारी थी पतली-पतली रोटियां बनाना.

And Mattithiah, one of the Levites, who was the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, had the set office over the things that were baked on griddles.

32 इसके अलावा कोहाथ के संबंधियों में से कुछ व्यक्ति हर शब्बाथ भेंट की रोटी तैयार करने के अधिकारी थे.

And some of their brethren, of the sons of the Kohathites, were over the showbread, to prepare it every sabbath.

33 लेवी के पितरों के कुलों के प्रधान, जो गायक थे, मंदिर के कमरों में ठहराए गए थे. उन्हें अन्य कोई काम सौंपा नहीं गया था, क्योंकि उनका काम ही ऐसा था, जिसमें वे रात-दिन व्यस्त रहते थे.

And these are the singers, heads of fathers' houses of the Levites, who dwelt in the chambers and were free from other service; for they were employed in their work day and night.

34 ये सभी अपनी-अपनी पीढ़ियों के अनुसार लेवी के पितरों के कुलों के प्रधान थे, जिनका घर येरूशलेम में ही था.

These were heads of fathers' houses of the Levites, by their generations, chief men; these dwelt at Jerusalem.

35 गिबयोन का पिता येइएल गिबयोन में रहता था. उसकी पत्नी का नाम माकाह था,

And in Gibeon there dwelt the father of Gibeon, Jeiel, whose wife's name was Maacah;

36 उसका पहलौठा पुत्र था अबदोन, इसके बाद पैदा हुए ज़ुर, कीश, बाल, नेर, नादाब,

and his first-born son Abdon, and Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab;

37 गेदोर, आहियो, ज़करयाह और मिकलोथ.

and Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloth.

38 मिकलोथ सिमअह का पिता हो गया. ये लोग भी येरूशलेम में अपने दूसरे रिश्तेदारों के सामने रह रहे थे.

And Mikloth begot Shimeam. And they also dwelt with their brethren in Jerusalem, over against their brethren.

39 नेर कीश का पिता था, कीश शाऊल का, शाऊल योनातन, मालखी-शुआ, अबीनादाब और एशबाल का.

And Ner begot Kish; and Kish begot Saul; and Saul begot Jonathan, and Malchi-shua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal.

40 योनातन का पुत्र था: मेरिब-बाल; मेरिब-बाल जो मीकाह का पिता था.

And the son of Jonathan was Merib-baal; and Merib-baal begot Micah.

41 मीकाह के पुत्र: पिथोन, मेलेख, ताहरिया और आहाज़.

And the sons of Micah: Pithon, and Melech, and Taharea, and Ahaz.

42 आहाज़ पिता था याराह का, याराह अलेमेथ, अज़मावेथ और ज़िमरी का, ज़िमरी, मोत्सा का.

And Ahaz begot Jarah; and Jarah begot Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begot Moza.

43 मोत्सा पिता था बिनिया का; उसके पुत्र थे रेफ़ाइयाह, एलासाह उसके पुत्र, आज़ेल उसके पुत्र.

And Moza begot Binea; and Rephaiah his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son.

44 आज़ेल के छः पुत्र थे, जिनके नाम निम्न लिखित है: अज़रीकाम, बोखेरु, इशमाएल, शिआरियाह, ओबदिया और हनान. ये आज़ेल के पुत्र थे.

And Azel had six sons, whose names are these: Azrikam, Bocru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan; these were the sons of Azel.
