תהילים 94

1 אל נקמות יהוה אל נקמות הופיע׃

God of vengeance—YHWH! God of vengeance, shine forth.

2 הנשא שפט הארץ השב גמול על גאים׃

Be lifted up, judging the earth, Send back a repayment on the proud.

3 עד מתי רשעים יהוה עד מתי רשעים יעלזו׃

Until when do the wicked, O YHWH—Until when do the wicked exult?

4 יביעו ידברו עתק יתאמרו כל פעלי און׃

They utter—they speak arrogance, All working iniquity boast [about] themselves.

5 עמך יהוה ידכאו ונחלתך יענו׃

Your people, O YHWH, they bruise, And they afflict Your inheritance.

6 אלמנה וגר יהרגו ויתומים ירצחו׃

They slay widow and sojourner, And they murder fatherless ones.

7 ויאמרו לא יראה יה ולא יבין אלהי יעקב׃

And they say, “YAH does not see, And the God of Jacob does not consider.”

8 בינו בערים בעם וכסילים מתי תשכילו׃

Consider, you brutish among the people, And you foolish, when do you act wisely?

9 הנטע אזן הלא ישמע אם יצר עין הלא יביט׃

He who plants the ear, does He not hear? He who forms the eye, does He not see?

10 היסר גוים הלא יוכיח המלמד אדם דעת׃

He who is instructing nations, does He not reprove? He who is teaching man knowledge [is] YHWH.

11 יהוה ידע מחשבות אדם כי המה הבל׃

He knows the thoughts of man, that they [are] vanity.

12 אשרי הגבר אשר תיסרנו יה ומתורתך תלמדנו׃

O the blessedness of the man Whom You instruct, O YAH, And teach him out of Your law,

13 להשקיט לו מימי רע עד יכרה לרשע שחת׃

To give rest to him from days of evil, While a pit is dug for the wicked.

14 כי לא יטש יהוה עמו ונחלתו לא יעזב׃

For YHWH does not leave His people, And does not forsake His inheritance.

15 כי עד צדק ישוב משפט ואחריו כל ישרי לב׃

For judgment turns back to righteousness, And after it all the upright of heart.

16 מי יקום לי עם מרעים מי יתיצב לי עם פעלי און׃

Who rises up for me with evildoers? Who stations himself for me with workers of iniquity?

17 לולי יהוה עזרתה לי כמעט שכנה דומה נפשי׃

Unless YHWH [were] a help to me, My soul had almost inhabited silence.

18 אם אמרתי מטה רגלי חסדך יהוה יסעדני׃

If I have said, “My foot has slipped,” Your kindness, O YHWH, supports me.

19 ברב שרעפי בקרבי תנחומיך ישעשעו נפשי׃

In the abundance of my thoughts within me, Your comforts delight my soul.

20 היחברך כסא הוות יצר עמל עלי חק׃

Is a throne of mischief joined [with] You? A framer of perverseness by statute?

21 יגודו על נפש צדיק ודם נקי ירשיעו׃

They decree against the soul of the righteous, And declare innocent blood wicked.

22 ויהי יהוה לי למשגב ואלהי לצור מחסי׃

And YHWH is for a high place to me, And my God [is] for a rock—my refuge,

23 וישב עליהם את אונם וברעתם יצמיתם יצמיתם יהוה אלהינו׃

And He turns back their iniquity on them, And in their wickedness cuts them off; Our God YHWH cuts them off!
