תהילים 9

1 למנצח עלמות לבן מזמור לדוד אודה יהוה בכל לבי אספרה כל נפלאותיך׃

To him that excelleth vpon Muth Laben. A Psalme of Dauid. I will praise the Lord with my whole heart: I will speake of all thy marueilous workes.

2 אשמחה ואעלצה בך אזמרה שמך עליון׃

I will bee glad, and reioyce in thee: I will sing praise to thy Name, O most High,

3 בשוב אויבי אחור יכשלו ויאבדו מפניך׃

For that mine enemies are turned backe: they shall fall, and perish at thy presence.

4 כי עשית משפטי ודיני ישבת לכסא שופט צדק׃

For thou hast maintained my right and my cause: thou art set in the throne, and iudgest right.

5 גערת גוים אבדת רשע שמם מחית לעולם ועד׃

Thou hast rebuked the heathen: thou hast destroyed the wicked: thou hast put out their name for euer and euer.

6 האויב תמו חרבות לנצח וערים נתשת אבד זכרם המה׃

O enemie, destructions are come to a perpetual end, and thou hast destroyed the cities: their memoriall is perished with them.

7 ויהוה לעולם ישב כונן למשפט כסאו׃

But the Lord shall sit for euer: hee hath prepared his throne for iudgement.

8 והוא ישפט תבל בצדק ידין לאמים במישרים׃

For he shall iudge the worlde in righteousnes, and shall iudge the people with equitie.

9 ויהי יהוה משגב לדך משגב לעתות בצרה׃

The Lord also wil be a refuge for the poore, a refuge in due time, euen in affliction.

10 ויבטחו בך יודעי שמך כי לא עזבת דרשיך יהוה׃

And they that know thy Name, will trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not failed them that seeke thee.

11 זמרו ליהוה ישב ציון הגידו בעמים עלילותיו׃

Sing praises to the Lord, which dwelleth in Zion: shewe the people his workes.

12 כי דרש דמים אותם זכר לא שכח צעקת עניים׃

For whe he maketh inquisition for blood, hee remembreth it, and forgetteth not the complaint of the poore.

13 חננני יהוה ראה עניי משנאי מרוממי משערי מות׃

Haue mercie vpon mee, O Lord: consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate mee, thou that liftest me vp from the gates of death,

14 למען אספרה כל תהלתיך בשערי בת ציון אגילה בישועתך׃

That I may shewe all thy praises within the gates of the daughter of Zion, and reioyce in thy saluation.

15 טבעו גוים בשחת עשו ברשת זו טמנו נלכדה רגלם׃

The heathen are sunken downe in the pit that they made: in the nette that they hid, is their foote taken.

16 נודע יהוה משפט עשה בפעל כפיו נוקש רשע הגיון סלה׃

The Lord is knowen by executing iudgement: the wicked is snared in the worke of his owne handes. (Higgaion, Selah)

17 ישובו רשעים לשאולה כל גוים שכחי אלהים׃ (Sheol h7585)

The wicked shall turne into hell, and all nations that forget God. (Sheol h7585)

18 כי לא לנצח ישכח אביון תקות ענוים תאבד לעד׃

For the poore shall not bee alway forgotten: the hope of the afflicted shall not perish for euer.

19 קומה יהוה אל יעז אנוש ישפטו גוים על פניך׃

Vp Lord: let not man preuaile: let the heathen be iudged in thy sight.

20 שיתה יהוה מורה להם ידעו גוים אנוש המה סלה׃

Put them in feare, O Lord, that the heathen may knowe that they are but men. (Selah)
