תהילים 72
| לשלמה אלהים משפטיך למלך תן וצדקתך לבן מלך׃ | 1 |
Of Solomon - O God judgments your to [the] king give and righteousness your to [the] son of [the] king.
| ידין עמך בצדק וענייך במשפט׃ | 2 |
He will judge people your with righteousness and poor [people] your with justice.
| ישאו הרים שלום לעם וגבעות בצדקה׃ | 3 |
They will carry mountains peace to the people and hills in righteousness.
| ישפט עניי עם יושיע לבני אביון וידכא עושק׃ | 4 |
He will judge - [the] poor [people] of [the] people he will save [the] children of [the] needy so he may crush [the] oppressor.
| ייראוך עם שמש ולפני ירח דור דורים׃ | 5 |
People will fear you with [the] sun and before [the] moon generation of generations.
| ירד כמטר על גז כרביבים זרזיף ארץ׃ | 6 |
He will come down like rain on mown grass like copious showers dropping of [the] earth.
| יפרח בימיו צדיק ורב שלום עד בלי ירח׃ | 7 |
He will flourish in days his [the] righteous and abundance of well-being [will be] until not [the] moon.
| וירד מים עד ים ומנהר עד אפסי ארץ׃ | 8 |
And may he rule from sea to sea and from [the] river to [the] ends of [the] earth.
| לפניו יכרעו ציים ואיביו עפר ילחכו׃ | 9 |
Before him they will bow down desert-dwellers and enemies his dust they will lick up.
| מלכי תרשיש ואיים מנחה ישיבו מלכי שבא וסבא אשכר יקריבו׃ | 10 |
[the] kings of Tarshish and [the] islands tribute they will pay [the] kings of Sheba and Seba a gift they will bring near.
| וישתחוו לו כל מלכים כל גוים יעבדוהו׃ | 11 |
And they may bow down to him all kings all nations they will serve him.
| כי יציל אביון משוע ועני ואין עזר לו׃ | 12 |
For he will deliver [the] needy [who] cries for help and [the] poor and not a helper [belongs] to him.
| יחס על דל ואביון ונפשות אביונים יושיע׃ | 13 |
He will have compassion on [the] poor and [the] needy and [the] lives of needy [people] he will save.
| מתוך ומחמס יגאל נפשם וייקר דמם בעיניו׃ | 14 |
From oppression and from violence he will redeem life their and may be precious blood their in view his.
| ויחי ויתן לו מזהב שבא ויתפלל בעדו תמיד כל היום יברכנהו׃ | 15 |
And may he live and he may give to him some of [the] gold of Sheba and [may] someone pray for him continually all the day may someone bless him.
| יהי פסת בר בארץ בראש הרים ירעש כלבנון פריו ויציצו מעיר כעשב הארץ׃ | 16 |
May it be an abundance of grain - in the land on [the] top of [the] mountains may it wave like Lebanon fruit its and may people blossom from [the] city like [the] vegetation of the earth.
| יהי שמו לעולם לפני שמש ינין שמו ויתברכו בו כל גוים יאשרוהו׃ | 17 |
May it be name his for ever before [the] sun (may it increase *Q(K)*) name his and may they bless themselves by him all nations may they call blessed him.
| ברוך יהוה אלהים אלהי ישראל עשה נפלאות לבדו׃ | 18 |
[be] blessed - Yahweh God [the] God of Israel [who] does wonders to only him.
| וברוך שם כבודו לעולם וימלא כבודו את כל הארץ אמן ואמן׃ | 19 |
And [be] blessed - [the] name of glory his for ever and may it be filled glory his all the earth amen - and amen.
| כלו תפלות דוד בן ישי׃ | 20 |
They are finished [the] prayers of David [the] son of Jesse.
