תהילים 37

1 לדוד אל תתחר במרעים אל תקנא בעשי עולה׃

Of David - may not you fret yourself in the evil-doers may not you be jealous of [those who] do unrighteousness.

2 כי כחציר מהרה ימלו וכירק דשא יבולון׃

For like grass quickly they will wither and like [the] greenery of vegetation they will fade!

3 בטח ביהוה ועשה טוב שכן ארץ ורעה אמונה׃

Trust in Yahweh and do good dwell [the] land and graze faithfulness.

4 והתענג על יהוה ויתן לך משאלת לבך׃

And take delight on Yahweh so he may give to you [the] requests of heart your.

5 גול על יהוה דרכך ובטח עליו והוא יעשה׃

Roll on Yahweh way your and rely on him and he he will act.

6 והוציא כאור צדקך ומשפטך כצהרים׃

And he will bring forth like the light righteousness your and justice your like the noontide.

7 דום ליהוה והתחולל לו אל תתחר במצליח דרכו באיש עשה מזמות׃

Be still - to Yahweh and wait longingly for him may not you fret yourself in [one who] makes prosperous way his in a person [who] makes plots.

8 הרף מאף ועזב חמה אל תתחר אך להרע׃

Refrain from anger and forsake rage may not you fret yourself only to do evil.

9 כי מרעים יכרתון וקוי יהוה המה יירשו ארץ׃

For evil-doers they will be cut off! and [those who] wait for Yahweh they they will possess [the] land.

10 ועוד מעט ואין רשע והתבוננת על מקומו ואיננו׃

And yet a little and there not [will be the] wicked and you will look carefully on place his and there not [will be] he.

11 וענוים יירשו ארץ והתענגו על רב שלום׃

And humble [people] they will possess [the] land and they will take delight on abundance of well-being.

12 זמם רשע לצדיק וחרק עליו שניו׃

[is] plotting [the] wicked To the righteous and [is] gnashing towards him teeth his.

13 אדני ישחק לו כי ראה כי יבא יומו׃

[the] Lord He laughs to him for he sees that it will come day his.

14 חרב פתחו רשעים ודרכו קשתם להפיל עני ואביון לטבוח ישרי דרך׃

A sword - they have drawn wicked [people] and they have bent bow their to make fall [the] poor and [the] needy to slaughter [people] upright of way.

15 חרבם תבוא בלבם וקשתותם תשברנה׃

Sword their it will go in own heart their and bows their they will be broken.

16 טוב מעט לצדיק מהמון רשעים רבים׃

[is] good [the] little Of the righteous more than [the] wealth of wicked [people] many.

17 כי זרועות רשעים תשברנה וסומך צדיקים יהוה׃

For [the] arms of wicked [people] they will be broken and [is] sustaining righteous [people] Yahweh.

18 יודע יהוה ימי תמימם ונחלתם לעולם תהיה׃

[is] knowing Yahweh [the] days of blameless [people] and inheritance their for ever it will be.

19 לא יבשו בעת רעה ובימי רעבון ישבעו׃

Not they will be ashamed in a time evil and in days of famine they will be satisfied.

20 כי רשעים יאבדו ואיבי יהוה כיקר כרים כלו בעשן כלו׃

For wicked [people] - they will perish and [the] enemies of Yahweh [will be] like a splendid [thing] of pastures they will come to an end in smoke they will come to an end.

21 לוה רשע ולא ישלם וצדיק חונן ונותן׃

[is] borrowing [the] wicked And not he repays and [the] righteous [is] showing favor and giving.

22 כי מברכיו יירשו ארץ ומקלליו יכרתו׃

For blessed [ones] his they will possess [the] land and cursed [ones] his they will be cut off.

23 מיהוה מצעדי גבר כוננו ודרכו יחפץ׃

From Yahweh [the] steps of a man they are established and way his he delights in.

24 כי יפל לא יוטל כי יהוה סומך ידו׃

For he will fall not he will be thrown down for Yahweh [is] supporting hand his.

25 נער הייתי גם זקנתי ולא ראיתי צדיק נעזב וזרעו מבקש לחם׃

A young man - I have been also I am old and not I have seen [the] righteous forsaken and offspring his seeking food.

26 כל היום חונן ומלוה וזרעו לברכה׃

All the day [he is] showing favor and [he is] lending and offspring his [become] a blessing.

27 סור מרע ועשה טוב ושכן לעולם׃

Turn away from evil and do good and dwell for ever.

28 כי יהוה אהב משפט ולא יעזב את חסידיו לעולם נשמרו וזרע רשעים נכרת׃

For Yahweh - [is] loving justice and not he will abandon faithful [people] his for ever they are preserved and [the] offspring of wicked [people] it is cut off.

29 צדיקים יירשו ארץ וישכנו לעד עליה׃

Righteous [people] they will possess [the] land so they may dwell for ever on it.

30 פי צדיק יהגה חכמה ולשונו תדבר משפט׃

[the] mouth of [the] righteous It utters wisdom and tongue his it speaks justice.

31 תורת אלהיו בלבו לא תמעד אשריו׃

[the] law of God his [is] in heart his not it slips steps his.

32 צופה רשע לצדיק ומבקש להמיתו׃

[is] watching A wicked [person] for righteous [person] and [is] seeking to kill him.

33 יהוה לא יעזבנו בידו ולא ירשיענו בהשפטו׃

Yahweh not he will abandon him in hand his and not he will condemn as guilty him when is judged he.

34 קוה אל יהוה ושמר דרכו וירוממך לרשת ארץ בהכרת רשעים תראה׃

Wait to Yahweh - and keep way his and he will exalt you to possess [the] land when are cut off wicked [people] you will see.

35 ראיתי רשע עריץ ומתערה כאזרח רענן׃

I have seen a wicked [person] ruthless and spreading himself like a native tree luxuriant.

36 ויעבר והנה איננו ואבקשהו ולא נמצא׃

And he passed away and there! there not [was] he and I sought him and not he was found.

37 שמר תם וראה ישר כי אחרית לאיש שלום׃

Watch [the] blameless and see [the] upright for a future [belongs] to a person of peace.

38 ופשעים נשמדו יחדו אחרית רשעים נכרתה׃

And transgressors they will be destroyed altogether [the] future of wicked [people] it will be cut off.

39 ותשועת צדיקים מיהוה מעוזם בעת צרה׃

And [the] salvation of righteous [people] [is] from Yahweh place of refuge their in a time of trouble.

40 ויעזרם יהוה ויפלטם יפלטם מרשעים ויושיעם כי חסו בו׃

And he helped them Yahweh and he delivered them he delivers them from wicked [people] and he saves them for they have taken refuge in him.
