תהילים 132
| שיר המעלות זכור יהוה לדוד את כל ענותו׃ | 1 |
“A psalm of the steps, or the goings up.” O LORD! remember David, And all his affliction!
| אשר נשבע ליהוה נדר לאביר יעקב׃ | 2 |
How he sware to Jehovah, And vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:
| אם אבא באהל ביתי אם אעלה על ערש יצועי׃ | 3 |
“I will not go into my house, Nor lie down on my bed,
| אם אתן שנת לעיני לעפעפי תנומה׃ | 4 |
I will not give sleep to my eyes, Nor slumber to my eyelids,
| עד אמצא מקום ליהוה משכנות לאביר יעקב׃ | 5 |
Until I find a place for Jehovah, A habitation for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
| הנה שמענוה באפרתה מצאנוה בשדי יער׃ | 6 |
Behold, we heard of it at Ephratah; We found it in the fields of the forest.
| נבואה למשכנותיו נשתחוה להדם רגליו׃ | 7 |
Let us go into his habitation; Let us worship at his footstool!
| קומה יהוה למנוחתך אתה וארון עזך׃ | 8 |
Arise, O LORD! into thy rest, Thou, and the ark of thy strength!
| כהניך ילבשו צדק וחסידיך ירננו׃ | 9 |
Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness, And thy holy ones shout for joy!
| בעבור דוד עבדך אל תשב פני משיחך׃ | 10 |
For the sake of thy servant David, Reject not the prayer of thine anointed!
| נשבע יהוה לדוד אמת לא ישוב ממנה מפרי בטנך אשית לכסא לך׃ | 11 |
Jehovah hath sworn in truth unto David, And he will not depart from it: “Of the fruit of thy body will I place upon the throne for thee.
| אם ישמרו בניך בריתי ועדתי זו אלמדם גם בניהם עדי עד ישבו לכסא לך׃ | 12 |
If thy children keep my covenant, And my statutes, which I teach them, Their children also throughout all ages Shall sit upon thy throne.”
| כי בחר יהוה בציון אוה למושב לו׃ | 13 |
For Jehovah hath chosen Zion; He hath desired it as his dwelling-place.
| זאת מנוחתי עדי עד פה אשב כי אותיה׃ | 14 |
“This is my resting-place for ever; Here will I dwell, for I have chosen it.
| צידה ברך אברך אביוניה אשביע לחם׃ | 15 |
I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her poor with bread.
| וכהניה אלביש ישע וחסידיה רנן ירננו׃ | 16 |
I will also clothe her priests with salvation, And her holy ones shall shout aloud for joy.
| שם אצמיח קרן לדוד ערכתי נר למשיחי׃ | 17 |
There will I cause to spring forth a horn for David; I have prepared a light for mine anointed.
| אויביו אלביש בשת ועליו יציץ נזרו׃ | 18 |
His enemies will I clothe with shame, And the crown shall glitter upon his head.”
