תהילים 105
| הודו ליהוה קראו בשמו הודיעו בעמים עלילותיו׃ | 1 |
O give thanks unto the LORD; Call upon his name; Make known his deeds among the people!
| שירו לו זמרו לו שיחו בכל נפלאותיו׃ | 2 |
Sing unto him; sing psalms unto him; Tell ye of all his wondrous works!
| התהללו בשם קדשו ישמח לב מבקשי יהוה׃ | 3 |
Glory ye in his holy name; Let the hearts of them that seek the LORD rejoice!
| דרשו יהוה ועזו בקשו פניו תמיד׃ | 4 |
Seek the LORD, and his majesty; Seek his face continually!
| זכרו נפלאותיו אשר עשה מפתיו ומשפטי פיו׃ | 5 |
Remember the wonders he hath wrought, His miracles and the judgments of his mouth,
| זרע אברהם עבדו בני יעקב בחיריו׃ | 6 |
Ye offspring of Abraham his servant, Ye children of Jacob his chosen!
| הוא יהוה אלהינו בכל הארץ משפטיו׃ | 7 |
Jehovah, he is our God, His judgments are over all the earth.
| זכר לעולם בריתו דבר צוה לאלף דור׃ | 8 |
He remembereth his covenant for ever, And the promise to a thousand generations;
| אשר כרת את אברהם ושבועתו לישחק׃ | 9 |
The covenant which he made with Abraham, And the oath which he gave to Isaac;
| ויעמידה ליעקב לחק לישראל ברית עולם׃ | 10 |
Which he confirmed to Jacob for a decree, And to Israel for an everlasting covenant.
| לאמר לך אתן את ארץ כנען חבל נחלתכם׃ | 11 |
“To thee,” said he, “will I give the land of Canaan For the lot of your inheritance.”
| בהיותם מתי מספר כמעט וגרים בה׃ | 12 |
When they were yet few in number, Very few, and strangers in the land;
| ויתהלכו מגוי אל גוי מממלכה אל עם אחר׃ | 13 |
When they went from nation to nation, From one kingdom to another people,
| לא הניח אדם לעשקם ויוכח עליהם מלכים׃ | 14 |
He suffered no man to oppress them; Yea, he rebuked kings for their sakes.
| אל תגעו במשיחי ולנביאי אל תרעו׃ | 15 |
“Touch not,” said he, “mine anointed, And do my prophets no harm!”
| ויקרא רעב על הארץ כל מטה לחם שבר׃ | 16 |
Again, when he commanded a famine in the land, And broke the whole staff of bread,
| שלח לפניהם איש לעבד נמכר יוסף׃ | 17 |
He sent a man before them; Joseph was sold as a slave.
| ענו בכבל רגליו ברזל באה נפשו׃ | 18 |
His feet they hurt with fetters; He was bound in chains of iron;
| עד עת בא דברו אמרת יהוה צרפתהו׃ | 19 |
Until his prediction came to pass, And the word of the LORD proved him.
| שלח מלך ויתירהו משל עמים ויפתחהו׃ | 20 |
Then the king sent, and loosed him; The ruler of nations, and set him free;
| שמו אדון לביתו ומשל בכל קנינו׃ | 21 |
He made him governor of his house, And lord of all his possessions;
| לאסר שריו בנפשו וזקניו יחכם׃ | 22 |
To bind his princes at his pleasure, And teach his counsellors wisdom.
| ויבא ישראל מצרים ויעקב גר בארץ חם׃ | 23 |
Israel also came into Egypt, And Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham;
| ויפר את עמו מאד ויעצמהו מצריו׃ | 24 |
Where God increased his people greatly, And made them stronger than their enemies.
| הפך לבם לשנא עמו להתנכל בעבדיו׃ | 25 |
He turned their hearts to hate his people, And form devices against his servants.
| שלח משה עבדו אהרן אשר בחר בו׃ | 26 |
Then sent he Moses his servant, And Aaron, whom he had chosen.
| שמו בם דברי אתותיו ומפתים בארץ חם׃ | 27 |
They showed his signs among them, And his wonders in the land of Ham.
| שלח חשך ויחשך ולא מרו את דבריו׃ | 28 |
He sent darkness upon them, and made it dark; And they did not disobey his word.
| הפך את מימיהם לדם וימת את דגתם׃ | 29 |
He turned their waters into blood, And caused their fish to die.
| שרץ ארצם צפרדעים בחדרי מלכיהם׃ | 30 |
Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, Even in the chambers of their kings.
| אמר ויבא ערב כנים בכל גבולם׃ | 31 |
He spake, and there came flies, And lice in all their coasts.
| נתן גשמיהם ברד אש להבות בארצם׃ | 32 |
Instead of rain he gave them hail, And flaming fire in their land.
| ויך גפנם ותאנתם וישבר עץ גבולם׃ | 33 |
He smote also their vines and fig-trees, And broke the trees of their coasts.
| אמר ויבא ארבה וילק ואין מספר׃ | 34 |
He spake, and the locusts came. Destructive locusts without number,
| ויאכל כל עשב בארצם ויאכל פרי אדמתם׃ | 35 |
Which ate up all the herbage in their land, And devoured the fruits of their fields.
| ויך כל בכור בארצם ראשית לכל אונם׃ | 36 |
Then he smote all the first-born in their land, The first-fruits of all their strength.
| ויוציאם בכסף וזהב ואין בשבטיו כושל׃ | 37 |
He led forth his people with silver and gold; Nor was there one feeble person in all their tribes.
| שמח מצרים בצאתם כי נפל פחדם עליהם׃ | 38 |
Egypt was glad when they departed, For their terror had fallen upon them.
| פרש ענן למסך ואש להאיר לילה׃ | 39 |
He spread out a cloud for a covering, And fire to give light by night.
| שאל ויבא שלו ולחם שמים ישביעם׃ | 40 |
They asked, and he brought quails, And satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
| פתח צור ויזובו מים הלכו בציות נהר׃ | 41 |
He opened the rock, and the waters gushed forth, And ran in the dry places like a river.
| כי זכר את דבר קדשו את אברהם עבדו׃ | 42 |
For he remembered his holy promise, Which he had made to Abraham his servant;
| ויוצא עמו בששון ברנה את בחיריו׃ | 43 |
And he led forth his people with joy, And his chosen with gladness.
| ויתן להם ארצות גוים ועמל לאמים יירשו׃ | 44 |
He gave to them the lands of the nations, And they inherited the labor of the peoples;
| בעבור ישמרו חקיו ותורתיו ינצרו הללו יה׃ | 45 |
That they might observe his statutes, And obey his laws. Praise ye the LORD!
