מתיו 28
| ואחרי מוצאי השבת כשהאיר לאחד בשבת באה מרים המגדלית ומרים האחרת לראות את הקבר׃ | 1 |
At the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came down to see the sepulcher, when lo!
| והנה רעש גדול היה כי מלאך יהוה ירד מן השמים ויגש ויגל את האבן מן הפתח וישב עליה׃ | 2 |
There had been a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord had come down from heaven, and gone and rolled away the stone, and was sitting upon it.
| ויהי מראהו כברק ולבושו לבן כשלג׃ | 3 |
His appearance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow.
| ומפחדו נבהלו השמרים ויהיו כמתים׃ | 4 |
The guards trembled for fear of him, and became like dead men.
| ויען המלאך ויאמר אל הנשים אתן אל תיראן הן ידעתי כי את ישוע הנצלב אתן מבקשות׃ | 5 |
But to the women the angel said. "You need have no fear, for I know that you are seeking Jesus, the Crucified One.
| איננו פה כי קם כאשר אמר באנה ראינה את המקום אשר שכב שם האדון׃ | 6 |
He is not here; for he is risen, even as he said. Come, see the place where the Master was lying!
| ומהרתן ללכת ואמרתן אל תלמידיו כי קם מן המתים והנה הוא הולך לפניכם הגלילה ושם תראהו הנה אמרתי לכן׃ | 7 |
And go quickly and tell his disciples. ‘He is risen from the dead; he goes before you into Galilee; you will see him there.’ Remember, I have told you."
| ותמהרנה לצאת מן הקבר ביראה ובשמחה גדולה ותרצנה להגיד לתלמידיו׃ | 8 |
On this they ran quickly from the sepulcher, in fear and great joy, to tell the news to his disciples.
| הנה הלכות להגיד לתלמידיו והנה ישוע נקרה אליהן ויאמר שלום לכן ותגשנה ותאחזנה ברגליו ותשתחוין לו׃ | 9 |
And behold! Jesus himself met them, saying, "All hail!" And they went up to him and clasped his feet and worshiped him.
| ויאמר אליהן ישוע אל תיראן לכנה והגדן לאחי וילכו הגלילה ושם יראוני׃ | 10 |
Then Jesus said to them. "Fear not! Go tell my brothers to depart into Galilee, and they will see men there."
| ויהי בלכתן והנה אנשים מן המשמר באו העירה ויגידו לראשי הכהנים את כל הנעשה׃ | 11 |
Now while they were on their way, some of the guard went into the city and told the high priest all that had happened.
| ויקהלו עם הזקנים ויתיעצו ויתנו כסף לרב אל אנשי הצבא לאמר׃ | 12 |
And when they had met with the elders and conferred together, they heavily bribed the soldiers and told them to say,
| אמרו כי באו תלמידיו לילה ויגנבו אותו בהיותנו ישנים׃ | 13 |
"His disciples came by night and stole him away, while we were asleep."
| ואם ישמע הדבר לפני ההגמון אנחנו נפיסהו והייתם בלי פחד׃ | 14 |
"If this should reach the Governor’s ears," they said, "we will satisfy him and screen you from punishment."
| ויקחו את הכסף ויעשו כאשר למדו ותצא השמועה הזאת בין היהודים עד היום הזה׃ | 15 |
So the soldiers took the money, and did as they were told; and this story has been noised abroad among the Jews, and continues to this day.
| ועשתי עשר התלמידים הלכו הגלילה אל ההר אשר צום ישוע׃ | 16 |
But the eleven disciples went away to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
| ויהי כראותם אתו וישתחוו לו ומקצתם נחלקו בלבם׃ | 17 |
And when they saw him they worshiped him; but some doubted.
| ויגש ישוע וידבר אליהם לאמר נתן לי כל שלטן בשמים ובארץ׃ | 18 |
And Jesus came forward to them and spoke to them, saying. "All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.
| לכו ועשו לתלמידים את כל הגוים וטבלתם אתם לשם האב והבן ורוח הקדש׃ | 19 |
Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit;
