איוב 5

1 קרא נא היש עונך ואל מי מקדשים תפנה׃

Call please ¿ [is] there [one who] answers you and to whom? of [the] holy [ones] will you turn.

2 כי לאויל יהרג כעש ופתה תמית קנאה׃

For a fool it slays vexation and a simple [one] it kills jealousy.

3 אני ראיתי אויל משריש ואקוב נוהו פתאם׃

I I have seen a fool taking root and I cursed habitation his suddenly.

4 ירחקו בניו מישע וידכאו בשער ואין מציל׃

They are distant children his from safety so they may be crushed in the gate and there not [is] a deliverer.

5 אשר קצירו רעב יאכל ואל מצנים יקחהו ושאף צמים חילם׃

[the one] who Harvest his - [the] hungry he eats and to from thorns he takes it and it is eager for a snare wealth their.

6 כי לא יצא מעפר און ומאדמה לא יצמח עמל׃

For - not it comes forth from [the] dust hardship and from [the] ground not it springs up trouble.

7 כי אדם לעמל יולד ובני רשף יגביהו עוף׃

For everyone to trouble he is born and [the] children of flame they make high to fly.

8 אולם אני אדרש אל אל ואל אלהים אשים דברתי׃

But I I will seek God and to God I will set plea my.

9 עשה גדלות ואין חקר נפלאות עד אין מספר׃

[who] does Great [things] and there not [is] inquiry wonders until there not [is] number.

10 הנתן מטר על פני ארץ ושלח מים על פני חוצות׃

Who gives rain on [the] surface of [the] earth and [who] sends water on [the] surface of [the] open places.

11 לשום שפלים למרום וקדרים שגבו ישע׃

To set lowly [people] to a high place and mourners they are high safety.

12 מפר מחשבות ערומים ולא תעשינה ידיהם תושיה׃

[who] frustrates [the] plans of Crafty [people] and not they will bring about hands their success.

13 לכד חכמים בערמם ועצת נפתלים נמהרה׃

[who] catches Wise [people] when are crafty they and [the] counsel of tortuous [people] it is hasty.

14 יומם יפגשו חשך וכלילה ימששו בצהרים׃

By day they meet darkness and like night they grope at noon.

15 וישע מחרב מפיהם ומיד חזק אביון׃

And he saved from [the] sword from mouth their and from [the] hand of [the] strong [the] needy.

16 ותהי לדל תקוה ועלתה קפצה פיה׃

And it belonged to poor [person] hope and injustice it shuts mouth its.

17 הנה אשרי אנוש יוכחנו אלוה ומוסר שדי אל תמאס׃

There! how blessed! [is the] person [whom] he reproves him God and [the] discipline of [the] Almighty may not you reject.

18 כי הוא יכאיב ויחבש ימחץ וידו תרפינה׃

For he he causes pain and he may bind up he shatters (and hands his *Q(K)*) they heal.

19 בשש צרות יצילך ובשבע לא יגע בך רע׃

In six troubles he will deliver you and in seven - not it will touch you harm.

20 ברעב פדך ממות ובמלחמה מידי חרב׃

In famine he will ransom you from death and in battle from [the] hands of [the] sword.

21 בשוט לשון תחבא ולא תירא משד כי יבוא׃

In [the] whip of [the] tongue you will be hidden and not you will be afraid from destruction if it will come.

22 לשד ולכפן תשחק ומחית הארץ אל תירא׃

To destruction and to famine you will laugh and from [the] animal[s] of the earth may not you be afraid.

23 כי עם אבני השדה בריתך וחית השדה השלמה לך׃

For [will be] with [the] stones of the field covenant your and [the] animal[s] of the field it will be at peace to you.

24 וידעת כי שלום אהלך ופקדת נוך ולא תחטא׃

And you will know that [is] safety tent your and you will visit estate your and not you will miss.

25 וידעת כי רב זרעך וצאצאיך כעשב הארץ׃

And you will know that [will be] many offspring your and descendants your [will be] like [the] vegetation of the earth.

26 תבוא בכלח אלי קבר כעלות גדיש בעתו׃

You will go in full strength to [the] grave as goes up a heap of sheaves at appropriate time its.

27 הנה זאת חקרנוה כן היא שמענה ואתה דע לך׃

Here! this we have examined it [is] so it hear it and you know for yourself.
