בראשית 45

1 ולא יכל יוסף להתאפק לכל הנצבים עליו ויקרא הוציאו כל איש מעלי ולא עמד איש אתו בהתודע יוסף אל אחיו׃

And not he was able Joseph to restrain himself to all those standing with him and he called out send out every man from with me and not he stood anyone with him when made himself known Joseph to brothers his.

2 ויתן את קלו בבכי וישמעו מצרים וישמע בית פרעה׃

And he gave voice his in weeping and they heard Egypt and it heard [the] household of Pharaoh.

3 ויאמר יוסף אל אחיו אני יוסף העוד אבי חי ולא יכלו אחיו לענות אתו כי נבהלו מפניו׃

And he said Joseph to brothers his I [am] Joseph ¿ still [is] father my living and not they were able brothers his to answer him for they were terrified of him.

4 ויאמר יוסף אל אחיו גשו נא אלי ויגשו ויאמר אני יוסף אחיכם אשר מכרתם אתי מצרימה׃

And he said Joseph to brothers his draw near please to me and they drew near and he said I [am] Joseph brother your whom you sold me Egypt towards.

5 ועתה אל תעצבו ואל יחר בעיניכם כי מכרתם אתי הנה כי למחיה שלחני אלהים לפניכם׃

And now - may not you be grieved and may not it burn in view your that you sold me hither for for preservation of life he sent me God before you.

6 כי זה שנתים הרעב בקרב הארץ ועוד חמש שנים אשר אין חריש וקציר׃

For this two years the famine [has been] in [the] midst of the land and still five years when there not [will be] plowing and harvest.

7 וישלחני אלהים לפניכם לשום לכם שארית בארץ ולהחיות לכם לפליטה גדלה׃

And he sent me God before you to make for you a remnant on the earth and to preserve alive for you a deliverance great.

8 ועתה לא אתם שלחתם אתי הנה כי האלהים וישימני לאב לפרעה ולאדון לכל ביתו ומשל בכל ארץ מצרים׃

And therefore not you you sent me hither for God and he has appointed me to a father of Pharaoh and to lord of all household his and ruler over all [the] land of Egypt.

9 מהרו ועלו אל אבי ואמרתם אליו כה אמר בנך יוסף שמני אלהים לאדון לכל מצרים רדה אלי אל תעמד׃

Hurry and go up to father my and you will say to him thus he says son your Joseph he has appointed me God to lord of all Egypt come down! to me may not you delay.

10 וישבת בארץ גשן והיית קרוב אלי אתה ובניך ובני בניך וצאנך ובקרך וכל אשר לך׃

And you will dwell in [the] land of Goshen and you will be near to me you and children your and [the] children of children your and sheep your and cattle your and all that [belongs] to you.

11 וכלכלתי אתך שם כי עוד חמש שנים רעב פן תורש אתה וביתך וכל אשר לך׃

And I will provide for you there for still [will be] five years famine lest you should become impoverished you and household your and all that [belongs] to you.

12 והנה עיניכם ראות ועיני אחי בנימין כי פי המדבר אליכם׃

And there! eyes your [are] seeing and [the] eyes of brother my Benjamin that mouth my [is] the [one which] speaks to you.

13 והגדתם לאבי את כל כבודי במצרים ואת כל אשר ראיתם ומהרתם והורדתם את אבי הנה׃

And you will tell to father my all honor my in Egypt and all that you saw and you will hurry and you will bring down father my hither.

14 ויפל על צוארי בנימן אחיו ויבך ובנימן בכה על צואריו׃

And he fell on [the] neck of Benjamin brother his and he wept and Benjamin he wept on neck his.

15 וינשק לכל אחיו ויבך עליהם ואחרי כן דברו אחיו אתו׃

And he kissed all brothers his and he wept over them and after thus they spoke brothers his with him.

16 והקל נשמע בית פרעה לאמר באו אחי יוסף וייטב בעיני פרעה ובעיני עבדיו׃

And the sound it was heard [the] house of Pharaoh saying they have come [the] brothers of Joseph and it was good in [the] eyes of Pharaoh and in [the] eyes of servants his.

17 ויאמר פרעה אל יוסף אמר אל אחיך זאת עשו טענו את בעירכם ולכו באו ארצה כנען׃

And he said Pharaoh to Joseph say to brothers your this do load animal[s] your and go go [the] land of towards Canaan.

18 וקחו את אביכם ואת בתיכם ובאו אלי ואתנה לכם את טוב ארץ מצרים ואכלו את חלב הארץ׃

And fetch father your and households your and come to me so let me give to you [the] good thing[s] of [the] land of Egypt and eat [the] fat of the land.

19 ואתה צויתה זאת עשו קחו לכם מארץ מצרים עגלות לטפכם ולנשיכם ונשאתם את אביכם ובאתם׃

And you you are commanded this do take for yourselves from [the] land of Egypt carts for little one[s] your and for wives your and you will carry father your and you will come.

20 ועינכם אל תחס על כליכם כי טוב כל ארץ מצרים לכם הוא׃

And eye your may not it look with regret on things your for [the] good thing[s] of all [the] land of Egypt [will belong] to you it.

21 ויעשו כן בני ישראל ויתן להם יוסף עגלות על פי פרעה ויתן להם צדה לדרך׃

And they did thus [the] sons of Israel and he gave to them Joseph carts on [the] mouth of Pharaoh and he gave to them provision[s] for the journey.

22 לכלם נתן לאיש חלפות שמלת ולבנימן נתן שלש מאות כסף וחמש חלפת שמלת׃

To all of them he gave to each changes of clothes and to Benjamin he gave three of hundred silver and five changes of clothes.

23 ולאביו שלח כזאת עשרה חמרים נשאים מטוב מצרים ועשר אתנת נשאת בר ולחם ומזון לאביו לדרך׃

And to father his he sent according to this ten donkeys carrying some of [the] good thing[s] of Egypt and ten female donkeys carrying grain and food and food for father his for the journey.

24 וישלח את אחיו וילכו ויאמר אלהם אל תרגזו בדרך׃

And he sent off brothers his and they went and he said to them may not you stir up on the way.

25 ויעלו ממצרים ויבאו ארץ כנען אל יעקב אביהם׃

And they went up from Egypt and they came [the] land of Canaan to Jacob father their.

26 ויגדו לו לאמר עוד יוסף חי וכי הוא משל בכל ארץ מצרים ויפג לבו כי לא האמין להם׃

And they told to him saying still Joseph [is] alive and that he [is] ruling over all [the] land of Egypt and it grew numb heart his for not he believed them.

27 וידברו אליו את כל דברי יוסף אשר דבר אלהם וירא את העגלות אשר שלח יוסף לשאת אתו ותחי רוח יעקב אביהם׃

And they spoke to him all [the] words of Joseph which he had spoken to them and he saw the carts which he had sent Joseph to carry him and it lived [the] spirit of Jacob father their.

28 ויאמר ישראל רב עוד יוסף בני חי אלכה ואראנו בטרם אמות׃

And he said Israel enough still Joseph son my [is] alive I will go so I may see him before I will die.
