דברי הימים א 26

1 למחלקות לשערים לקרחים משלמיהו בן קרא מן בני אסף׃

For the divisions of the doorkeepers: of the Korahites, Meshelemiah the son of Kore, of the sons of Abiasaph.

2 ולמשלמיהו בנים זכריהו הבכור ידיעאל השני זבדיהו השלישי יתניאל הרביעי׃

Meshelemiah had sons: Zechariah the firstborn, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,

3 עילם החמישי יהוחנן הששי אליהועיני השביעי׃

Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Eliehoenai the seventh.

4 ולעבד אדם בנים שמעיה הבכור יהוזבד השני יואח השלשי ושכר הרביעי ונתנאל החמישי׃

Obed-Edom had sons: Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, and Sakar the fourth, and Nethanel the fifth,

5 עמיאל הששי יששכר השביעי פעלתי השמיני כי ברכו אלהים׃

Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peullethai the eighth; for God blessed him.

6 ולשמעיה בנו נולד בנים הממשלים לבית אביהם כי גבורי חיל המה׃

Also to Shemaiah his son were sons born, who ruled over the house of their father; for they were mighty men of valor.

7 בני שמעיה עתני ורפאל ועובד אלזבד אחיו בני חיל אליהו וסמכיהו׃

The sons of Shemaiah: Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, and Elzabad, and his brothers were valiant men, Elihu, and Semakiah.

8 כל אלה מבני עבד אדם המה ובניהם ואחיהם איש חיל בכח לעבדה ששים ושנים לעבד אדם׃

All these were of the sons of Obed-Edom: they and their sons and their brothers, able men in strength for the service; sixty-two of Obed-Edom.

9 ולמשלמיהו בנים ואחים בני חיל שמונה עשר׃

Meshelemiah had sons and brothers, valiant men, eighteen.

10 ולחסה מן בני מררי בנים שמרי הראש כי לא היה בכור וישימהו אביהו לראש׃

Also Hosah, of the descendants of Merari, had sons: Shimri the chief, (for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father made him chief),

11 חלקיהו השני טבליהו השלשי זכריהו הרבעי כל בנים ואחים לחסה שלשה עשר׃

Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth: all the sons and brothers of Hosah were thirteen.

12 לאלה מחלקות השערים לראשי הגברים משמרות לעמת אחיהם לשרת בבית יהוה׃

Of these were the divisions of the doorkeepers, even of the chief men, having offices like their brothers, to minister in the house of the LORD.

13 ויפילו גורלות כקטן כגדול לבית אבותם לשער ושער׃

They cast lots, the small as well as the great, according to their fathers' houses, for every gate.

14 ויפל הגורל מזרחה לשלמיהו וזכריהו בנו יועץ בשכל הפילו גורלות ויצא גורלו צפונה׃

The lot east fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a wise counselor, they cast lots; and his lot came out north.

15 לעבד אדם נגבה ולבניו בית האספים׃

To Obed-Edom the south; and to his sons, the vestibules.

16 לשפים ולחסה למערב עם שער שלכת במסלה העולה משמר לעמת משמר׃

To Hosah fell the west, namely, the chamber gate on the upper road. Watchman opposite watchman.

17 למזרח הלוים ששה לצפונה ליום ארבעה לנגבה ליום ארבעה ולאספים שנים שנים׃

On the east there were six a day, on the north four a day, on the south four a day, and for the vestibules two and two.

18 לפרבר למערב ארבעה למסלה שנים לפרבר׃

For the colonnade on the west, four at the gateway, and two at the colonnade.

19 אלה מחלקות השערים לבני הקרחי ולבני מררי׃

These were the divisions of the doorkeepers; of the sons of the Korahites, and of the sons of Merari.

20 והלוים אחיה על אוצרות בית האלהים ולאצרות הקדשים׃

And the Levites, their brothers, were over the treasures of God's house, and over the treasures of the dedicated things.

21 בני לעדן בני הגרשני ללעדן ראשי האבות ללעדן הגרשני יחיאלי׃

The sons of Ladan, the sons of the Gershonites belonging to Ladan, the heads of the ancestral houses belonging to Ladan the Gershonite: Jehieli.

22 בני יחיאלי זתם ויואל אחיו על אצרות בית יהוה׃

The sons of Jehieli: Zetham, and Joel his brother, over the treasures of the house of the LORD.

23 לעמרמי ליצהרי לחברוני לעזיאלי׃

Of the Amramites, of the Izharites, of the Hebronites, of the Uzzielites:

24 ושבאל בן גרשום בן משה נגיד על האצרות׃

and Shubael the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was ruler over the treasures.

25 ואחיו לאליעזר רחביהו בנו וישעיהו בנו וירם בנו וזכרי בנו ושלמות בנו׃

His brothers: of Eliezer, Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zikri his son, and Shelomoth his son.

26 הוא שלמות ואחיו על כל אצרות הקדשים אשר הקדיש דויד המלך וראשי האבות לשרי האלפים והמאות ושרי הצבא׃

This Shelomith and his brothers were over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the heads of the ancestral houses, and the commanders over thousands and hundreds, and the commanders of the army, had dedicated.

27 מן המלחמות ומן השלל הקדישו לחזק לבית יהוה׃

They dedicated some of the spoil won in battles to repair the house of the LORD.

28 וכל ההקדיש שמואל הראה ושאול בן קיש ואבנר בן נר ויואב בן צרויה כל המקדיש על יד שלמית ואחיו׃

And all that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, all who dedicated anything, were in the care of Shelomith and his brothers.

29 ליצהרי כנניהו ובניו למלאכה החיצונה על ישראל לשטרים ולשפטים׃

Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons were for the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.

30 לחברוני חשביהו ואחיו בני חיל אלף ושבע מאות על פקדת ישראל מעבר לירדן מערבה לכל מלאכת יהוה ולעבדת המלך׃

Of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brothers, men of valor, one thousand seven hundred, had the oversight of Israel beyond the Jordan westward, for all the business of the LORD, and for the service of the king.

31 לחברוני יריה הראש לחברוני לתלדתיו לאבות בשנת הארבעים למלכות דויד נדרשו וימצא בהם גבורי חיל ביעזיר גלעד׃

Of the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even of the Hebronites, according to their generations by ancestral houses. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valor at Jazer of Gilead.

32 ואחיו בני חיל אלפים ושבע מאות ראשי האבות ויפקידם דויד המלך על הראובני והגדי וחצי שבט המנשי לכל דבר האלהים ודבר המלך׃

His brothers, men of valor, were two thousand seven hundred, heads of ancestral houses, whom king David made overseers over the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half-tribe of the Manassites, for every matter pertaining to God, and for the affairs of the king.
