חזוֹן יוֹחָנָן 12
| עתה נראה בשמים חזיון נבואי מסתורי: אישה לבושה בשמש, הירח תחת רגליה ועל ראשה כתר בעל שנים־עשר כוכבים, | 1 |
Then a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head.
| כרעה ללדת וזעקה מכאבים וצירי לידה. | 2 |
She was with child and cried out in the pain and agony of giving birth.
| לפתע הופיע תנין גדול שצבעו אדום כאש, בעל שבעה ראשים, עשר קרניים ועל ראשיו שבעה כתרים. | 3 |
Then another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great fiery red dragon with seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads.
| בזנבו גרר אחריו התנין שליש מכוכבי השמים והשליכם ארצה. הוא עמד לפני האישה הכורעת ללדת, מוכן לבלוע את התינוק מיד עם הולדתו. | 4 |
His tail swept down a third of the stars of heaven and hurled them to the earth. Then the dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth he might devour her child.
| האישה ילדה בן זכר שנועד לשלוט ביד חזקה על כל העמים. מיד נלקח הבן אל האלוהים ואל כיסאו, | 5 |
She gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, but her child was caught up to God and to his throne.
| ואילו האישה ברחה אל המדבר, שם הכין לה אלוהים מקום מבטחים וכלכלה למשך 1260 יום. | 6 |
And the woman fled into the wilderness, where God had a place prepared for her to be nourished for one thousand two hundred sixty days.
| לאחר מכן פרצה מלחמה בשמים; מיכאל ומלאכיו נלחמו נגד התנין ומלאכיו הרעים. | 7 |
Then war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels fought against the dragon. And the dragon fought back, along with his angels.
| התנין ומלאכיו הובסו בקרב וגורשו מהשמים. | 8 |
But he did not prevail, and there was no longer any place found for him in heaven.
| התנין הנורא הזה – הנחש הקדמוני שנקרא מלשין ושטן, והמתעה את העולם כולו – הושלך ארצה עם מלאכיו. | 9 |
The great dragon was thrown down, the old serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world. He was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
| ואז שמעתי קול אדיר בשמים:”סוף־סוף הגיעה ישועת אלוהים! אכן, גבורת אלוהים, מלכותו וסמכות משיחו הגיעו, כי השטן אשר קטרג על אחינו לפני אלוהים, יומם ולילה, הושלך ארצה! | 10 |
Then I heard a loud voice in heaven saying, “The salvation, power, and kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ, have now come. For the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, he who accuses them day and night before our God.
| הם ניצחוהו בדם השה ובעדותם הנאמנה, כי לא חסו על חייהם והיו מוכנים להקריב את עצמם למוות. | 11 |
They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so as to shy away from death.
| ”על כן שמחו שמים והשוכנים בהם! אך אוי לכם יושבי הארץ, כי השטן ירד אליכם בזעם גדול ובידיעה שזמנו קצר!“ | 12 |
Therefore rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you with great wrath, because he knows that his time is short.”
| כאשר נוכח התנין כי הושלך ארצה, רדף אחרי האישה שילדה את בן הזכר. | 13 |
When the dragon saw that he had been thrown down to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child.
| אולם לאישה ניתן זוג כנפי־נשר ענק כדי שתעוף אל המדבר, אל המקום שהוכן למענה. שם, הרחק מהנחש, מהתנין, יסופק לה כל מחסורה לתקופה של שלוש שנים וחצי. | 14 |
But the woman was given two wings like those of a great eagle so that she could fly away from the presence of the serpent to her place in the wilderness, to be nourished there for a time, times, and half a time.
| הנחש, שהמשיך לרדוף אחרי האישה, הוציא מפיו נהר מים שזרם לעבר האישה בניסיון להטביעה, | 15 |
Then out of his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river after the woman, to sweep her away with a flood.
| אך הארץ באה לעזרת האישה; האדמה פתחה את פיה ובלעה את המים! | 16 |
But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.
| והתנין, מרוגז מאוד על האישה, הלך להילחם נגד שאר ילדיה – הלא הם כל אלה ששומרים את דבר אלוהים ומעידים על ישוע המשיח. (התנין עמד על חוף הים והמתין). | 17 |
So the dragon was angry with the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring, those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.
