תְהִלִּים 33
| רַנְּנ֣וּ צַ֭דִּיקִים בַּֽיהוָ֑ה לַ֝יְשָׁרִ֗ים נָאוָ֥ה תְהִלָּֽה׃ | 1 |
Shout for joy, ye righteous, in Yahweh, To the upright, seemly is praise.
| הוֹד֣וּ לַיהוָ֣ה בְּכִנּ֑וֹר בְּנֵ֥בֶל עָ֝שׂ֗וֹר זַמְּרוּ־לֽוֹ׃ | 2 |
Give ye thanks unto Yahweh with the lyre, With a harp of ten strings, make ye music unto him.
| שִֽׁירוּ־ל֭וֹ שִׁ֣יר חָדָ֑שׁ הֵיטִ֥יבוּ נַ֝גֵּ֗ן בִּתְרוּעָֽה׃ | 3 |
Sing unto him, a song that is new, With skill, sweep the strings, with loud noise.
| כִּֽי־יָשָׁ֥ר דְּבַר־יְהוָ֑ה וְכָל־מַ֝עֲשֵׂ֗הוּ בֶּאֱמוּנָֽה׃ | 4 |
For right is the word of Yahweh, and, all his work, is in faithfulness:
| אֹ֭הֵב צְדָקָ֣ה וּמִשְׁפָּ֑ט חֶ֥סֶד יְ֝הוָ֗ה מָלְאָ֥ה הָאָֽרֶץ׃ | 5 |
Who loveth righteousness and justice, With the lovingkindness of Yahweh, the earth is full.
| בִּדְבַ֣ר יְ֭הוָה שָׁמַ֣יִם נַעֲשׂ֑וּ וּבְר֥וּחַ פִּ֝֗יו כָּל־צְבָאָֽם׃ | 6 |
By the word of Yahweh, the heavens were made, and, by the spirit of his mouth, all their host:
| כֹּנֵ֣ס כַּ֭נֵּד מֵ֣י הַיָּ֑ם נֹתֵ֖ן בְּאֹצָר֣וֹת תְּהוֹמֽוֹת׃ | 7 |
Who gathered as into a skin-bottle the waters of the sea, Delivering, into treasuries, the roaring deeps.
| יִֽירְא֣וּ מֵ֭יְהוָה כָּל־הָאָ֑רֶץ מִמֶּ֥נּוּ יָ֝ג֗וּרוּ כָּל־יֹשְׁבֵ֥י תֵבֵֽל׃ | 8 |
Let all the earth, stand in awe of Yahweh, Of him, be in dread, all ye inhabitants of the world;
| כִּ֤י ה֣וּא אָמַ֣ר וַיֶּ֑הִי הֽוּא־צִ֝וָּ֗ה וַֽיַּעֲמֹֽד׃ | 9 |
For, he, spake, and it was, He, commanded, and it stood forth.
| יְֽהוָ֗ה הֵפִ֥יר עֲצַת־גּוֹיִ֑ם הֵ֝נִ֗יא מַחְשְׁב֥וֹת עַמִּֽים׃ | 10 |
Yahweh, hath frustrated the counsel of nations, hath brought to nothing the devices of peoples.
| עֲצַ֣ת יְ֭הוָה לְעוֹלָ֣ם תַּעֲמֹ֑ד מַחְשְׁב֥וֹת לִ֝בּ֗וֹ לְדֹ֣ר וָדֹֽר׃ | 11 |
The counsel of Yahweh, to times age-abiding, shall stand, The devices of his heart, from generation to generation.
| אַשְׁרֵ֣י הַ֭גּוֹי אֲשֶׁר־יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהָ֑יו הָעָ֓ם ׀ בָּחַ֖ר לְנַחֲלָ֣ה לֽוֹ׃ | 12 |
How happy the nation whose God is, Yahweh, The people he hath chosen as his own inheritance!
| מִ֭שָּׁמַיִם הִבִּ֣יט יְהוָ֑ה רָ֝אָ֗ה אֶֽת־כָּל־בְּנֵ֥י הָאָדָֽם׃ | 13 |
Out of the heavens, hath Yahweh looked, He hath seen all the sons of men:
| מִֽמְּכוֹן־שִׁבְתּ֥וֹ הִשְׁגִּ֑יחַ אֶ֖ל כָּל־יֹשְׁבֵ֣י הָאָֽרֶץ׃ | 14 |
Out of his settled place of abode, hath he fixed his gaze on all the inhabitants of the earth:
| הַיֹּצֵ֣ר יַ֣חַד לִבָּ֑ם הַ֝מֵּבִ֗ין אֶל־כָּל־מַעֲשֵׂיהֶֽם׃ | 15 |
Who fashioneth their heart all together, Who understandeth all their doings.
| אֵֽין־הַ֭מֶּלֶךְ נוֹשָׁ֣ע בְּרָב־חָ֑יִל גִּ֝בּ֗וֹר לֹֽא־יִנָּצֵ֥ל בְּרָב־כֹּֽחַ׃ | 16 |
Not a king, can be saved by greatness of force, nor, hero, deliver himself by greatness of strength:
| שֶׁ֣קֶר הַ֭סּוּס לִתְשׁוּעָ֑ה וּבְרֹ֥ב חֵ֝יל֗וֹ לֹ֣א יְמַלֵּֽט׃ | 17 |
A deception, is the horse, for victory, and, by his great strength, shall he not deliver.
| הִנֵּ֤ה עֵ֣ין יְ֭הוָה אֶל־יְרֵאָ֑יו לַֽמְיַחֲלִ֥ים לְחַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 18 |
Lo! the eye of Yahweh, is toward them who revere him, unto such as are waiting for his lovingkindness:
| לְהַצִּ֣יל מִמָּ֣וֶת נַפְשָׁ֑ם וּ֝לְחַיּוֹתָ֗ם בָּרָעָֽב׃ | 19 |
To rescue, from death, their soul, and to keep them alive in famine.
| נַ֭פְשֵׁנוּ חִכְּתָ֣ה לַֽיהוָ֑ה עֶזְרֵ֖נוּ וּמָגִנֵּ֣נוּ הֽוּא׃ | 20 |
Our own soul, hath waited for Yahweh, Our help and our shield, is he!
| כִּי־ב֭וֹ יִשְׂמַ֣ח לִבֵּ֑נוּ כִּ֤י בְשֵׁ֖ם קָדְשׁ֣וֹ בָטָֽחְנוּ׃ | 21 |
For, in him, shall our heart rejoice, For, in his holy Name, have we trusted.
| יְהִֽי־חַסְדְּךָ֣ יְהוָ֣ה עָלֵ֑ינוּ כַּ֝אֲשֶׁ֗ר יִחַ֥לְנוּ לָֽךְ׃ | 22 |
Be thy lovingkindness, O Yahweh, upon us, According as we have waited for thee.
