תהילים 9

1 לַמְנַצֵּחַ עַלְמוּת לַבֵּן מִזְמוֹר לְדָוִֽד׃ אוֹדֶה יְהוָה בְּכָל־לִבִּי אֲסַפְּרָה כָּל־נִפְלְאוֹתֶֽיךָ׃

To him that excelleth vpon Muth Laben. A Psalme of Dauid. I will praise the Lord with my whole heart: I will speake of all thy marueilous workes.

2 אֶשְׂמְחָה וְאֶעֶלְצָה בָךְ אֲזַמְּרָה שִׁמְךָ עֶלְיֽוֹן׃

I will bee glad, and reioyce in thee: I will sing praise to thy Name, O most High,

3 בְּשׁוּב־אוֹיְבַי אָחוֹר יִכָּשְׁלוּ וְיֹאבְדוּ מִפָּנֶֽיךָ׃

For that mine enemies are turned backe: they shall fall, and perish at thy presence.

4 כִּֽי־עָשִׂיתָ מִשְׁפָּטִי וְדִינִי יָשַׁבְתָּ לְכִסֵּא שׁוֹפֵט צֶֽדֶק׃

For thou hast maintained my right and my cause: thou art set in the throne, and iudgest right.

5 גָּעַרְתָּ גוֹיִם אִבַּדְתָּ רָשָׁע שְׁמָם מָחִיתָ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶֽד׃

Thou hast rebuked the heathen: thou hast destroyed the wicked: thou hast put out their name for euer and euer.

6 הָֽאוֹיֵב ׀ תַּמּוּ חֳרָבוֹת לָנֶצַח וְעָרִים נָתַשְׁתָּ אָבַד זִכְרָם הֵֽמָּה׃

O enemie, destructions are come to a perpetual end, and thou hast destroyed the cities: their memoriall is perished with them.

7 וַֽיהוָה לְעוֹלָם יֵשֵׁב כּוֹנֵן לַמִּשְׁפָּט כִּסְאֽוֹ׃

But the Lord shall sit for euer: hee hath prepared his throne for iudgement.

8 וְהוּא יִשְׁפֹּֽט־תֵּבֵל בְּצֶדֶק יָדִין לְאֻמִּים בְּמֵישָׁרֽ͏ִים׃

For he shall iudge the worlde in righteousnes, and shall iudge the people with equitie.

9 וִיהִי יְהוָה מִשְׂגָּב לַדָּךְ מִשְׂגָּב לְעִתּוֹת בַּצָּרָֽה׃

The Lord also wil be a refuge for the poore, a refuge in due time, euen in affliction.

10 וְיִבְטְחוּ בְךָ יוֹדְעֵי שְׁמֶךָ כִּי לֹֽא־עָזַבְתָּ דֹרְשֶׁיךָ יְהוָֽה׃

And they that know thy Name, will trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not failed them that seeke thee.

11 זַמְּרוּ לַיהוָה יֹשֵׁב צִיּוֹן הַגִּידוּ בָעַמִּים עֲלִֽילוֹתָֽיו׃

Sing praises to the Lord, which dwelleth in Zion: shewe the people his workes.

12 כִּֽי־דֹרֵשׁ דָּמִים אוֹתָם זָכָר לֹֽא־שָׁכַח צַעֲקַת עניים עֲנָוֽ͏ִים׃

For whe he maketh inquisition for blood, hee remembreth it, and forgetteth not the complaint of the poore.

13 חָֽנְנֵנִי יְהוָה רְאֵה עָנְיִי מִשֹּׂנְאָי מְרוֹמְמִי מִשַּׁעֲרֵי מָֽוֶת׃

Haue mercie vpon mee, O Lord: consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate mee, thou that liftest me vp from the gates of death,

14 לְמַעַן אֲסַפְּרָה כָּֽל־תְּהִלָּתֶיךָ בְּשַֽׁעֲרֵי בַת־צִיּוֹן אָגִילָה בִּישׁוּעָתֶֽךָ׃

That I may shewe all thy praises within the gates of the daughter of Zion, and reioyce in thy saluation.

15 טָבְעוּ גוֹיִם בְּשַׁחַת עָשׂוּ בְּרֶֽשֶׁת־זוּ טָמָנוּ נִלְכְּדָה רַגְלָֽם׃

The heathen are sunken downe in the pit that they made: in the nette that they hid, is their foote taken.

16 נוֹדַע ׀ יְהוָה מִשְׁפָּט עָשָׂה בְּפֹעַל כַּפָּיו נוֹקֵשׁ רָשָׁע הִגָּיוֹן סֶֽלָה׃

The Lord is knowen by executing iudgement: the wicked is snared in the worke of his owne handes. (Higgaion, Selah)

17 יָשׁוּבוּ רְשָׁעִים לִשְׁאוֹלָה כָּל־גּוֹיִם שְׁכֵחֵי אֱלֹהִֽים׃ (Sheol h7585)

The wicked shall turne into hell, and all nations that forget God. (Sheol h7585)

18 כִּי לֹא לָנֶצַח יִשָּׁכַח אֶבְיוֹן תִּקְוַת ענוים עֲנִיִּים תֹּאבַד לָעַֽד׃

For the poore shall not bee alway forgotten: the hope of the afflicted shall not perish for euer.

19 קוּמָה יְהוָה אַל־יָעֹז אֱנוֹשׁ יִשָּׁפְטוּ גוֹיִם עַל־פָּנֶֽיךָ׃

Vp Lord: let not man preuaile: let the heathen be iudged in thy sight.

20 שִׁיתָה יְהוָה ׀ מוֹרָה לָהֶם יֵדְעוּ גוֹיִם אֱנוֹשׁ הֵמָּה סֶּֽלָה׃

Put them in feare, O Lord, that the heathen may knowe that they are but men. (Selah)
