תהילים 149

1 הַלְלוּ יָהּ ׀ שִׁירוּ לַֽיהוָה שִׁיר חָדָשׁ תְּהִלָּתוֹ בִּקְהַל חֲסִידִֽים׃

Praise ye Jehovah. Sing to Jehovah a new song, and his praise in the assembly of the sanctified.

2 יִשְׂמַח יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּעֹשָׂיו בְּנֵֽי־צִיּוֹן יָגִילוּ בְמַלְכָּֽם׃

Let Israel rejoice in him who made him. Let the sons of Zion be joyful in their King.

3 יְהַֽלְלוּ שְׁמוֹ בְמָחוֹל בְּתֹף וְכִנּוֹר יְזַמְּרוּ־לֽוֹ׃

Let them praise his name in the dance. Let them sing praises to him with timbrel and harp.

4 כִּֽי־רוֹצֶה יְהוָה בְּעַמּוֹ יְפָאֵר עֲנָוִים בִּישׁוּעָֽה׃

For Jehovah takes pleasure in his people. He will beautify the meek with salvation.

5 יַעְלְזוּ חֲסִידִים בְּכָבוֹד יְרַנְּנוּ עַל־מִשְׁכְּבוֹתָֽם׃

Let the sanctified exult in glory. Let them sing for joy upon their beds.

6 רוֹמְמוֹת אֵל בִּגְרוֹנָם וְחֶרֶב פִּֽיפִיּוֹת בְּיָדָֽם׃

The high praises of God are in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand

7 לַעֲשׂוֹת נְקָמָה בַּגּוֹיִם תּֽוֹכֵחֹת בַּל־אֻמִּֽים׃

to execute vengeance upon the nations, and punishments upon the peoples,

8 לֶאְסֹר מַלְכֵיהֶם בְּזִקִּים וְנִכְבְּדֵיהֶם בְּכַבְלֵי בַרְזֶֽל׃

to bind their kings with chains, and their ranking men with fetters of iron,

9 לַעֲשׂוֹת בָּהֶם ׀ מִשְׁפָּט כָּתוּב הָדָר הוּא לְכָל־חֲסִידָיו הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃

to execute upon them the judgment written. All his sanctified have this honor. Praise ye Jehovah.
