תהילים 136
| הוֹדוּ לַיהוָה כִּי־טוֹב כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 1 |
Thank Yahweh, because he does good things [for us]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| הוֹדוּ לֵֽאלֹהֵי הָאֱלֹהִים כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 2 |
Thank God, the one who is greater than all other gods; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| הוֹדוּ לַאֲדֹנֵי הָאֲדֹנִים כִּי לְעֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 3 |
Thank the Lord who is greater than all other lords/rulers; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| לְעֹשֵׂה נִפְלָאוֹת גְּדֹלוֹת לְבַדּוֹ כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 4 |
He is the only one who performs great miracles; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| לְעֹשֵׂה הַשָּׁמַיִם בִּתְבוּנָה כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 5 |
He is the one who by being very wise created the heavens; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| לְרֹקַע הָאָרֶץ עַל־הַמָּיִם כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 6 |
He is the one who caused the ground to rise up above the deep waters; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| לְעֹשֵׂה אוֹרִים גְּדֹלִים כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 7 |
He is the one who created great lights [in the sky]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| אֶת־הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ לְמֶמְשֶׁלֶת בַּיּוֹם כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 8 |
He created the sun to shine in the daytime; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| אֶת־הַיָּרֵחַ וְכוֹכָבִים לְמֶמְשְׁלוֹת בַּלָּיְלָה כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 9 |
He created the moon and stars to shine during the nighttime; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| לְמַכֵּה מִצְרַיִם בִּבְכוֹרֵיהֶם כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 10 |
He is the one who killed the firstborn [males] in Egypt; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| וַיּוֹצֵא יִשְׂרָאֵל מִתּוֹכָם כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 11 |
He led the Israeli people out of Egypt; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| בְּיָד חֲזָקָה וּבִזְרוֹעַ נְטוּיָה כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 12 |
With his (strong hand/great power) he led them out; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| לְגֹזֵר יַם־סוּף לִגְזָרִים כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 13 |
He is the one who caused the Red Sea to divide; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| וְהֶעֱבִיר יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּתוֹכוֹ כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 14 |
He enabled the Israeli people to walk through it [on dry land]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| וְנִעֵר פַּרְעֹה וְחֵילוֹ בְיַם־סוּף כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 15 |
But he caused the king of Egypt and his army to drown in it; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| לְמוֹלִיךְ עַמּוֹ בַּמִּדְבָּר כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 16 |
He is the one who led his people [safely through the desert]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| לְמַכֵּה מְלָכִים גְּדֹלִים כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 17 |
He killed powerful kings; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| וֽ͏ַיַּהֲרֹג מְלָכִים אַדִּירִים כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 18 |
He killed kings who were famous; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| לְסִיחוֹן מֶלֶךְ הָאֱמֹרִי כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 19 |
He killed Sihon, the king of the Amor people-group; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| וּלְעוֹג מֶלֶךְ הַבָּשָׁן כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 20 |
He killed Og, the king of Bashan [region]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| וְנָתַן אַרְצָם לְנַחֲלָה כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 21 |
He gave their lands to us, his people; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| נַחֲלָה לְיִשְׂרָאֵל עַבְדּוֹ כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 22 |
He gave those lands to us people of Israel, who serve him; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| שֶׁבְּשִׁפְלֵנוּ זָכַר לָנוּ כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 23 |
He is the one who did not forget about us when we were defeated [by our enemies]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| וַיִּפְרְקֵנוּ מִצָּרֵינוּ כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 24 |
He rescued us from our enemies; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| נֹתֵן לֶחֶם לְכָל־בָּשָׂר כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 25 |
He is the one who gives food to all living creatures; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
| הוֹדוּ לְאֵל הַשָּׁמָיִם כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 26 |
[So] thank God, [who lives in] heaven, [for all those things], because his faithful love [for us] endures forever!
