תהילים 119

1 אַשְׁרֵי תְמִֽימֵי־דָרֶךְ הַֽהֹלְכִים בְּתוֹרַת יְהוָֽה׃

Alleluia. Blessed are the blameless in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.

2 אַשְׁרֵי נֹצְרֵי עֵדֹתָיו בְּכָל־לֵב יִדְרְשֽׁוּהוּ׃

Blessed are they that search out his testimonies: they will diligently seek him with the whole heart.

3 אַף לֹֽא־פָעֲלוּ עַוְלָה בִּדְרָכָיו הָלָֽכוּ׃

For they that work iniquity have not walked in his ways.

4 אַתָּה צִוִּיתָה פִקֻּדֶיךָ לִשְׁמֹר מְאֹֽד׃

You have commanded [us] diligently to keep your precepts.

5 אַחֲלַי יִכֹּנוּ דְרָכָי לִשְׁמֹר חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃

O that my ways were directed to keep your ordinances.

6 אָז לֹא־אֵבוֹשׁ בְּהַבִּיטִי אֶל־כָּל־מִצְוֺתֶֽיךָ׃

Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect to all your commandments.

7 אוֹדְךָ בְּיֹשֶׁר לֵבָב בְּלָמְדִי מִשְׁפְּטֵי צִדְקֶֽךָ׃

I will give you thanks with uprightness of heart, when I have learned the judgments of your righteousness.

8 אֶת־חֻקֶּיךָ אֶשְׁמֹר אַֽל־תַּעַזְבֵנִי עַד־מְאֹֽד׃

I will keep your ordinances: O forsake me not greatly.

9 בַּמֶּה יְזַכֶּה־נַּעַר אֶת־אָרְחוֹ לִשְׁמֹר כִּדְבָרֶֽךָ׃

Wherewith shall a young man direct his way? by keeping your words.

10 בְּכָל־לִבִּי דְרַשְׁתִּיךָ אַל־תַּשְׁגֵּנִי מִמִּצְוֺתֶֽיךָ׃

With my whole heart have I diligently sought you: cast me not away from your commandments.

11 בְּלִבִּי צָפַנְתִּי אִמְרָתֶךָ לְמַעַן לֹא אֶֽחֱטָא־לָֽךְ׃

I have hidden your oracles in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

12 בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהוָה לַמְּדֵנִי חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃

Blessed are you, O Lord: teach me your ordinances.

13 בִּשְׂפָתַי סִפַּרְתִּי כֹּל מִשְׁפְּטֵי־פִֽיךָ׃

With my lips have I declared all the judgments of your mouth.

14 בְּדֶרֶךְ עֵדְוֺתֶיךָ שַּׂשְׂתִּי כְּעַל כָּל־הֽוֹן׃

I have delighted in the way of your testimonies, [as much] as in all riches.

15 בְּפִקֻּדֶיךָ אָשִׂיחָה וְאַבִּיטָה אֹרְחֹתֶֽיךָ׃

I will meditate on your commandments, and consider your ways.

16 בְּחֻקֹּתֶיךָ אֶֽשְׁתַּעֲשָׁע לֹא אֶשְׁכַּח דְּבָרֶֽךָ׃

I will meditate on your ordinances: I will not forget your words.

17 גְּמֹל עַֽל־עַבְדְּךָ אֶֽחְיֶה וְאֶשְׁמְרָה דְבָרֶֽךָ׃

Render a recompense to your servant: [so] shall I live, and keep your words.

18 גַּל־עֵינַי וְאַבִּיטָה נִפְלָאוֹת מִתּוֹרָתֶֽךָ׃

Unveil you mine eyes, and I shall perceive wondrous things of your law.

19 גֵּר אָנֹכִי בָאָרֶץ אַל־תַּסְתֵּר מִמֶּנִּי מִצְוֺתֶֽיךָ׃

I am a stranger in the earth: hide not your commandments from me.

20 גָּרְסָה נַפְשִׁי לְתַאֲבָה אֶֽל־מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ בְכָל־עֵֽת׃

My soul has longed exceedingly for your judgments at all times.

21 גָּעַרְתָּ זֵדִים אֲרוּרִים הַשֹּׁגִים מִמִּצְוֺתֶֽיךָ׃

You have rebuked the proud: cursed are they that turn aside from your commandments.

22 גַּל מֵֽעָלַי חֶרְפָּה וָבוּז כִּי עֵדֹתֶיךָ נָצָֽרְתִּי׃

Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have sought out your testimonies.

23 גַּם יָֽשְׁבוּ שָׂרִים בִּי נִדְבָּרוּ עַבְדְּךָ יָשִׂיחַ בְּחֻקֶּֽיךָ׃

For princes sat and spoke against me: but your servant was meditating on your ordinances.

24 גַּֽם־עֵדֹתֶיךָ שַׁעֲשֻׁעָי אַנְשֵׁי עֲצָתִֽי׃

For your testimonies are my (meditation) and your ordinances are my counselors.

25 דָּֽבְקָה לֶעָפָר נַפְשִׁי חַיֵּנִי כִּדְבָרֶֽךָ׃

My soul has cleaved to the ground; quicken you me according to your word.

26 דְּרָכַי סִפַּרְתִּי וַֽתַּעֲנֵנִי לַמְּדֵנִי חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃

I declared my ways, and you did hear me: teach me your ordinances.

27 דֶּֽרֶךְ־פִּקּוּדֶיךָ הֲבִינֵנִי וְאָשִׂיחָה בְּנִפְלְאוֹתֶֽיךָ׃

Instruct me in the way of your ordinances; and I will meditate on your wondrous works.

28 דָּלְפָה נַפְשִׁי מִתּוּגָה קַיְּמֵנִי כִּדְבָרֶֽךָ׃

My soul has slumbered for sorrow; strengthen you me with your words.

29 דֶּֽרֶךְ־שֶׁקֶר הָסֵר מִמֶּנִּי וְֽתוֹרָתְךָ חָנֵּֽנִי׃

Remove from me the way of iniquity; and be merciful to me by your law.

30 דֶּֽרֶךְ־אֱמוּנָה בָחָרְתִּי מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ שִׁוִּֽיתִי׃

I have chosen the way of truth; and have not forgotten your judgments.

31 דָּבַקְתִּי בְעֵֽדְוֺתֶיךָ יְהוָה אַל־תְּבִישֵֽׁנִי׃

I have cleaved to your testimonies, O Lord; put me not to shame.

32 דֶּֽרֶךְ־מִצְוֺתֶיךָ אָרוּץ כִּי תַרְחִיב לִבִּֽי׃

I ran the way of your commandments, when you did enlarge my heart.

33 הוֹרֵנִי יְהוָה דֶּרֶךְ חֻקֶּיךָ וְאֶצְּרֶנָּה עֵֽקֶב׃

Teach me, O Lord, the way of your ordinances, and I will seek it out continually.

34 הֲבִינֵנִי וְאֶצְּרָה תֽוֹרָתֶךָ וְאֶשְׁמְרֶנָּה בְכָל־לֵֽב׃

Instruct me, and I will search out your law, and will keep it with my whole heart.

35 הַדְרִיכֵנִי בִּנְתִיב מִצְוֺתֶיךָ כִּי־בוֹ חָפָֽצְתִּי׃

Guide me in the path of your commandments; for I have delighted in it.

36 הַט־לִבִּי אֶל־עֵדְוֺתֶיךָ וְאַל אֶל־בָּֽצַע׃

Incline mine heart to your testimonies, and not to covetousness.

37 הַעֲבֵר עֵינַי מֵרְאוֹת שָׁוְא בִּדְרָכֶךָ חַיֵּֽנִי׃

Turn away mine eyes that I may not behold vanity: quicken you me in your way.

38 הָקֵם לְעַבְדְּךָ אִמְרָתֶךָ אֲשֶׁר לְיִרְאָתֶֽךָ׃

Confirm your oracle to your servant, that he may fear you.

39 הַעֲבֵר חֶרְפָּתִי אֲשֶׁר יָגֹרְתִּי כִּי מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ טוֹבִֽים׃

Take away my reproach which I have feared: for your judgments are good.

40 הִנֵּה תָּאַבְתִּי לְפִקֻּדֶיךָ בְּצִדְקָתְךָ חַיֵּֽנִי׃

Behold, I have desired your commandments: quicken me in your righteousness.

41 וִֽיבֹאֻנִי חֲסָדֶךָ יְהוָה תְּשֽׁוּעָתְךָ כְּאִמְרָתֶֽךָ׃

And let your mercy come upon me, O Lord; [even] your salvation, according to your word.

42 וְאֶֽעֱנֶה חֹרְפִי דָבָר כִּֽי־בָטַחְתִּי בִּדְבָרֶֽךָ׃

And [so] I shall render an answer to them that reproach me: for I have trusted in your words.

43 וְֽאַל־תַּצֵּל מִפִּי דְבַר־אֱמֶת עַד־מְאֹד כִּי לְמִשְׁפָּטֶךָ יִחָֽלְתִּי׃

And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in your judgments. So shall I keep your law continually, for ever and ever.

44 וְאֶשְׁמְרָה תוֹרָתְךָ תָמִיד לְעוֹלָם וָעֶֽד׃

45 וְאֶתְהַלְּכָה בָרְחָבָה כִּי פִקֻּדֶיךָ דָרָֽשְׁתִּי׃

I walked also at large: for I sought out your commandments.

46 וַאֲדַבְּרָה בְעֵדֹתֶיךָ נֶגֶד מְלָכִים וְלֹא אֵבֽוֹשׁ׃

And I spoke of your testimonies before kings, and was not ashamed.

47 וְאֶשְׁתַּֽעֲשַׁע בְּמִצְוֺתֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר אָהָֽבְתִּי׃

And I meditated on your commandments, which I loved exceedingly.

48 וְאֶשָּֽׂא־כַפַּי אֶֽל־מִצְוֺתֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר אָהָבְתִּי וְאָשִׂיחָה בְחֻקֶּֽיךָ׃

And I lifted up my hands to your commandments which I loved; and I meditated in your ordinances.

49 זְכֹר־דָּבָר לְעַבְדֶּךָ עַל אֲשֶׁר יִֽחַלְתָּֽנִי׃

Remember your words to your servant, wherein you have made me hope.

50 זֹאת נֶחָמָתִי בְעָנְיִי כִּי אִמְרָתְךָ חִיָּֽתְנִי׃

This has comforted me in mine affliction: for your oracle has quickened me.

51 זֵדִים הֱלִיצֻנִי עַד־מְאֹד מִתּֽוֹרָתְךָ לֹא נָטִֽיתִי׃

The proud have transgressed exceedingly; but I swerved not from your law.

52 זָכַרְתִּי מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ מֵעוֹלָם ׀ יְהוָה וָֽאֶתְנֶחָֽם׃

I remembered your judgments of old, O Lord; and was comforted.

53 זַלְעָפָה אֲחָזַתְנִי מֵרְשָׁעִים עֹזְבֵי תּוֹרָתֶֽךָ׃

Despair took hold upon me, because of the sinners who forsake your law.

54 זְמִרוֹת הָֽיוּ־לִי חֻקֶּיךָ בְּבֵית מְגוּרָֽי׃

Your ordinances were my songs in the place of my sojourning.

55 זָכַרְתִּי בַלַּיְלָה שִׁמְךָ יְהוָה וָֽאֶשְׁמְרָה תּוֹרָתֶֽךָ׃

I remembered your name, O Lord, in the night, and kept your law.

56 זֹאת הָֽיְתָה־לִּי כִּי פִקֻּדֶיךָ נָצָֽרְתִּי׃

This I had, because I diligently sought your ordinances.

57 חֶלְקִי יְהוָה אָמַרְתִּי לִשְׁמֹר דְּבָרֶֽיךָ׃

You are my portion, O Lord: I said that I would keep your law.

58 חִלִּיתִי פָנֶיךָ בְכָל־לֵב חָנֵּנִי כְּאִמְרָתֶֽךָ׃

I implored your favor with my whole heart: have mercy upon me according to your word.

59 חִשַּׁבְתִּי דְרָכָי וָאָשִׁיבָה רַגְלַי אֶל־עֵדֹתֶֽיךָ׃

I thought on your ways, and turned my feet to your testimonies.

60 חַשְׁתִּי וְלֹא הִתְמַהְמָהְתִּי לִשְׁמֹר מִצְוֺתֶֽיךָ׃

I prepared myself, (and was not terrified, ) to keep your commandments.

61 חֶבְלֵי רְשָׁעִים עִוְּדֻנִי תּֽוֹרָתְךָ לֹא שָׁכָֽחְתִּי׃

The snares of sinners entangled me: but I forgot not your law.

62 חֲצֽוֹת־לַיְלָה אָקוּם לְהוֹדוֹת לָךְ עַל מִשְׁפְּטֵי צִדְקֶֽךָ׃

At midnight I arose, to give thanks to you for the judgments of your righteousness.

63 חָבֵר אָנִי לְכָל־אֲשֶׁר יְרֵאוּךָ וּלְשֹׁמְרֵי פִּקּוּדֶֽיךָ׃

I am a companion of all them that fear you, and of them that keep your commandments.

64 חַסְדְּךָ יְהוָה מָלְאָה הָאָרֶץ חֻקֶּיךָ לַמְּדֵֽנִי׃

O Lord, the earth is full of your mercy: teach me your ordinances.

65 טוֹב עָשִׂיתָ עִֽם־עַבְדְּךָ יְהוָה כִּדְבָרֶֽךָ׃

You have wrought kindly with your servant, o Lord, according to your word.

66 טוּב טַעַם וָדַעַת לַמְּדֵנִי כִּי בְמִצְוֺתֶיךָ הֶאֱמָֽנְתִּי׃

Teach me kindness, and instruction, and knowledge: for I have believed your commandments.

67 טֶרֶם אֶעֱנֶה אֲנִי שֹׁגֵג וְעַתָּה אִמְרָתְךָ שָׁמָֽרְתִּי׃

Before I was afflicted, I transgressed; therefore have I kept your word.

68 טוֹב־אַתָּה וּמֵטִיב לַמְּדֵנִי חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃

Good are you, O Lord; therefore in your goodness teach me your ordinances.

69 טָפְלוּ עָלַי שֶׁקֶר זֵדִים אֲנִי בְּכָל־לֵב ׀ אֱצֹּר פִּקּוּדֶֽיךָ׃

The injustice of the proud has been multiplied against me: but I will search out your commandments with all my heart.

70 טָפַשׁ כַּחֵלֶב לִבָּם אֲנִי תּוֹרָתְךָ שִֽׁעֲשָֽׁעְתִּי׃

Their heart has been curdled like milk; but I have meditated on your law.

71 טֽוֹב־לִי כִֽי־עֻנֵּיתִי לְמַעַן אֶלְמַד חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃

[It is] good for me that you have afflicted me; that I might learn your ordinances.

72 טֽוֹב־לִי תֽוֹרַת־פִּיךָ מֵאַלְפֵי זָהָב וָכָֽסֶף׃

The law of your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver.

73 יָדֶיךָ עָשׂוּנִי וַֽיְכוֹנְנוּנִי הֲבִינֵנִי וְאֶלְמְדָה מִצְוֺתֶֽיךָ׃

Your hands have made me, and fashioned me: instruct me, that I may learn your commandments.

74 יְרֵאֶיךָ יִרְאוּנִי וְיִשְׂמָחוּ כִּי לִדְבָרְךָ יִחָֽלְתִּי׃

They that fear you will see me and rejoice: for I have hoped in your words.

75 יָדַעְתִּי יְהוָה כִּי־צֶדֶק מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ וֶאֱמוּנָה עִנִּיתָֽנִי׃

I know, O Lord, that your judgments are righteousness, and [that] you in truthfulness have afflicted me.

76 יְהִי־נָא חַסְדְּךָ לְנַחֲמֵנִי כְּאִמְרָתְךָ לְעַבְדֶּֽךָ׃

Let, I pray you, your mercy be to comfort me, according to your word to your servant.

77 יְבֹאוּנִי רַחֲמֶיךָ וְאֶֽחְיֶה כִּי־תֽוֹרָתְךָ שַֽׁעֲשֻׁעָֽי׃

Let your compassions come to me, that I may live: for your law is my (meditation)

78 יֵבֹשׁוּ זֵדִים כִּי־שֶׁקֶר עִוְּתוּנִי אֲנִי אָשִׂיחַ בְּפִקּוּדֶֽיךָ׃

Let the proud be ashamed; for they transgressed against me unjustly: but I will meditate in your commandments.

79 יָשׁוּבוּ לִי יְרֵאֶיךָ וידעו וְיֹדְעֵי עֵדֹתֶֽיךָ׃

Let those that fear you, and those that know your testimonies, turn to me.

80 יְהִֽי־לִבִּי תָמִים בְּחֻקֶּיךָ לְמַעַן לֹא אֵבֽוֹשׁ׃

Let mine heart be blameless in your ordinances, that I may not be ashamed.

81 כָּלְתָה לִתְשׁוּעָתְךָ נַפְשִׁי לִדְבָרְךָ יִחָֽלְתִּי׃

My soul faints for your salvation: I have hoped in your words.

82 כָּלוּ עֵינַי לְאִמְרָתֶךָ לֵאמֹר מָתַי תְּֽנַחֲמֵֽנִי׃

Mine eyes failed [in waiting] for your word, saying, When will you comfort me?

83 כִּֽי־הָיִיתִי כְּנֹאד בְּקִיטוֹר חֻקֶּיךָ לֹא שָׁכָֽחְתִּי׃

For I am become as a bottle in the frost: [yet] I have not forgotten your ordinances.

84 כַּמָּה יְמֵֽי־עַבְדֶּךָ מָתַי תַּעֲשֶׂה בְרֹדְפַי מִשְׁפָּֽט׃

How many are the days of your servant? when will you execute judgment for me on them that persecute me?

85 כָּֽרוּ־לִי זֵדִים שִׁיחוֹת אֲשֶׁר לֹא כְתוֹרָתֶֽךָ׃

Transgressors told me [idle tales]; but not according to your law, O Lord.

86 כָּל־מִצְוֺתֶיךָ אֱמוּנָה שֶׁקֶר רְדָפוּנִי עָזְרֵֽנִי׃

All your commandments are truth; they persecuted me unjustly; help you me.

87 כִּמְעַט כִּלּוּנִי בָאָרֶץ וַאֲנִי לֹא־עָזַבְתִּי פִקֻּודֶֽיךָ׃

They nearly made an end of me in the earth; but I forsook not your commandments.

88 כְּחַסְדְּךָ חַיֵּנִי וְאֶשְׁמְרָה עֵדוּת פִּֽיךָ׃

Quicken me according to your mercy; so shall I keep the testimonies of your mouth.

89 לְעוֹלָם יְהוָה דְּבָרְךָ נִצָּב בַּשָּׁמָֽיִם׃

Your word, O Lord, abides in heaven for ever.

90 לְדֹר וָדֹר אֱמֽוּנָתֶךָ כּוֹנַנְתָּ אֶרֶץ וַֽתַּעֲמֹֽד׃

Your truth [endures] to all generations; you have founded the earth, and it abides.

91 לְֽמִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ עָמְדוּ הַיּוֹם כִּי הַכֹּל עֲבָדֶֽיךָ׃

The day continues by your arrangement; for all things are your servants.

92 לוּלֵי תוֹרָתְךָ שַׁעֲשֻׁעָי אָז אָבַדְתִּי בְעָנְיִֽי׃

Were it not that your law is my (meditation) then I should have perished in mine affliction.

93 לְעוֹלָם לֹא־אֶשְׁכַּח פִּקּוּדֶיךָ כִּי בָם חִיִּיתָֽנִי׃

I will never forget your ordinances; for with them you have quickened me.

94 לְֽךָ־אֲנִי הוֹשִׁיעֵנִי כִּי פִקּוּדֶיךָ דָרָֽשְׁתִּי׃

I am your, save me; for I have sought out your ordinances.

95 לִי קִוּוּ רְשָׁעִים לְאַבְּדֵנִי עֵדֹתֶיךָ אֶתְבּוֹנָֽן׃

Sinners laid wait for me to destroy me; [but] I understood your testimonies.

96 לְֽכָל תִּכְלָה רָאִיתִי קֵץ רְחָבָה מִצְוָתְךָ מְאֹֽד׃

have seen an end of all perfection; [but] your commandment is very broad.

97 מָֽה־אָהַבְתִּי תוֹרָתֶךָ כָּל־הַיּוֹם הִיא שִׂיחָתִֽי׃

How I have loved your law, O Lord! it is my meditation all the day.

98 מֵאֹיְבַי תְּחַכְּמֵנִי מִצְוֺתֶךָ כִּי לְעוֹלָם הִיא־לִֽי׃

You have made me wiser than mine enemies [in] your commandment; for it is mine for ever.

99 מִכָּל־מְלַמְּדַי הִשְׂכַּלְתִּי כִּי עֵדְוֺתֶיךָ שִׂיחָה לִֽֿי׃

I have more understanding than all my teachers; for your testimonies are my medication.

100 מִזְּקֵנִים אֶתְבּוֹנָן כִּי פִקּוּדֶיךָ נָצָֽרְתִּי׃

I understand more that the aged; because I have sought out your commandments.

101 מִכָּל־אֹרַח רָע כָּלִאתִי רַגְלָי לְמַעַן אֶשְׁמֹר דְּבָרֶֽךָ׃

I have kept back my feet from every evil way, that I might keep your words.

102 מִמִּשְׁפָּטֶיךָ לֹא־סָרְתִּי כִּֽי־אַתָּה הוֹרֵתָֽנִי׃

I have not declined from your judgments; for you have instructed me.

103 מַה־נִּמְלְצוּ לְחִכִּי אִמְרָתֶךָ מִדְּבַשׁ לְפִֽי׃

How sweet are your oracles to my throat! more so than honey to my mouth!

104 מִפִּקּוּדֶיךָ אֶתְבּוֹנָן עַל־כֵּן שָׂנֵאתִי ׀ כָּל־אֹרַח שָֽׁקֶר׃

I gain understanding by your commandments: therefore I have hated every way of unrighteousness.

105 נֵר־לְרַגְלִי דְבָרֶךָ וְאוֹר לִנְתִיבָתִֽי׃

Your law is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my paths.

106 נִשְׁבַּעְתִּי וָאֲקַיֵּמָה לִשְׁמֹר מִשְׁפְּטֵי צִדְקֶֽךָ׃

I have sworn and determined to keep the judgments of your righteousness.

107 נַעֲנֵיתִי עַד־מְאֹד יְהוָה חַיֵּנִי כִדְבָרֶֽךָ׃

I have been very greatly afflicted, O Lord: quicken me, according to your word.

108 נִדְבוֹת פִּי רְצֵה־נָא יְהוָה וּֽמִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ לַמְּדֵֽנִי׃

Accept, I pray you, O Lord, the free will offerings of my mouth, and teach me your judgments.

109 נַפְשִׁי בְכַפִּי תָמִיד וְתֽוֹרָתְךָ לֹא שָׁכָֽחְתִּי׃

My soul is continually in your hands; and I have not forgotten your law.

110 נָתְנוּ רְשָׁעִים פַּח לִי וּמִפִּקּוּדֶיךָ לֹא תָעִֽיתִי׃

Sinners spread a snare for me; but I erred not from your commandments.

111 נָחַלְתִּי עֵדְוֺתֶיךָ לְעוֹלָם כִּֽי־שְׂשׂוֹן לִבִּי הֵֽמָּה׃

I have inherited your testimonies for ever; for they are the joy of my heart.

112 נָטִיתִי לִבִּי לַעֲשׂוֹת חֻקֶּיךָ לְעוֹלָם עֵֽקֶב׃

I have inclined my heart to perform your ordinances for ever, in return [for your mercies].

113 סֵעֲפִים שָׂנֵאתִי וְֽתוֹרָתְךָ אָהָֽבְתִּי׃

I have hated transgressors; but I have loved your law.

114 סִתְרִי וּמָגִנִּי אָתָּה לִדְבָרְךָ יִחָֽלְתִּי׃

You are my helper and my supporter; I have hoped in your words.

115 סֽוּרוּ־מִמֶּנִּי מְרֵעִים וְאֶצְּרָה מִצְוֺת אֱלֹהָֽי׃

Depart from me, you evil-doers; for I will search out the commandments of my God.

116 סָמְכֵנִי כְאִמְרָתְךָ וְאֶֽחְיֶה וְאַל־תְּבִישֵׁנִי מִשִּׂבְרִֽי׃

Uphold me according to your word, and quicken me; and make me not ashamed of my expectation.

117 סְעָדֵנִי וְאִוָּשֵׁעָה וְאֶשְׁעָה בְחֻקֶּיךָ תָמִֽיד׃

Help me, and I shall be saved; and I will meditate in your ordinances continually.

118 סָלִיתָ כָּל־שׁוֹגִים מֵחֻקֶּיךָ כִּי־שֶׁקֶר תַּרְמִיתָֽם׃

You have brought to nothing all that depart from your ordinances; for their inward thought is unrighteous.

119 סִגִים הִשְׁבַּתָּ כָל־רִשְׁעֵי־אָרֶץ לָכֵן אָהַבְתִּי עֵדֹתֶֽיךָ׃

I have reckoned all the sinners of the earth as transgressors; therefore have I loved your testimonies.

120 סָמַר מִפַּחְדְּךָ בְשָׂרִי וּֽמִמִּשְׁפָּטֶיךָ יָרֵֽאתִי׃

Penetrate my flesh with your fear; for I am afraid of your judgments.

121 עָשִׂיתִי מִשְׁפָּט וָצֶדֶק בַּל־תַּנִּיחֵנִי לְעֹֽשְׁקָֽי׃

I have done judgment and justice; deliver me not up to them that injure me.

122 עֲרֹב עַבְדְּךָ לְטוֹב אַֽל־יַעַשְׁקֻנִי זֵדִֽים׃

Receive your servant for good: let not the proud accuse me falsely.

123 עֵינַי כָּלוּ לִֽישׁוּעָתֶךָ וּלְאִמְרַת צִדְקֶֽךָ׃

Mine eyes have failed for your salvation, and for the word of your righteousness.

124 עֲשֵׂה עִם־עַבְדְּךָ כְחַסְדֶּךָ וְחֻקֶּיךָ לַמְּדֵֽנִי׃

Deal with your servant according to your mercy, and teach me your ordinances.

125 עַבְדְּךָ־אָנִי הֲבִינֵנִי וְאֵדְעָה עֵדֹתֶֽיךָ׃

I am your servant; instruct me, and I shall know your testimonies.

126 עֵת לַעֲשׂוֹת לַיהוָה הֵפֵרוּ תּוֹרָתֶֽךָ׃

[It is] time for the Lord to work: they have utterly broken your law.

127 עַל־כֵּן אָהַבְתִּי מִצְוֺתֶיךָ מִזָּהָב וּמִפָּֽז׃

Therefore have I loved your commandments more than gold, or the topaz.

128 עַל־כֵּן ׀ כָּל־פִּקּוּדֵי כֹל יִשָּׁרְתִּי כָּל־אֹרַח שֶׁקֶר שָׂנֵֽאתִי׃

Therefore I directed myself [according] to all your commandments: I have hated every unjust way.

129 פְּלָאוֹת עֵדְוֺתֶיךָ עַל־כֵּן נְצָרָתַם נַפְשִֽׁי׃

Your testimonies are wonderful: therefore my soul has sought them out.

130 פֵּתַח דְּבָרֶיךָ יָאִיר מֵבִין פְּתָיִֽים׃

The manifestation of your words will enlighten, and instruct the simple.

131 פִּֽי־פָעַרְתִּי וָאֶשְׁאָפָה כִּי לְמִצְוֺתֶיךָ יָאָֽבְתִּי׃

I opened my mouth, and drew breath: for I earnestly longed after your commandments.

132 פְּנֵה־אֵלַי וְחָנֵּנִי כְּמִשְׁפָּט לְאֹהֲבֵי שְׁמֶֽךָ׃

Look upon me and have mercy upon me, after the manner of them that love your name.

133 פְּעָמַי הָכֵן בְּאִמְרָתֶךָ וְֽאַל־תַּשְׁלֶט־בִּי כָל־אָֽוֶן׃

Order my steps according to your word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

134 פְּדֵנִי מֵעֹשֶׁק אָדָם וְאֶשְׁמְרָה פִּקּוּדֶֽיךָ׃

Deliver me from the false accusation of men: so will I keep your commandments.

135 פָּנֶיךָ הָאֵר בְּעַבְדֶּךָ וְלַמְּדֵנִי אֶת־חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃

Cause your face to shine upon your servant: and teach me your ordinances.

136 פַּלְגֵי־מַיִם יָרְדוּ עֵינָי עַל לֹא־שָׁמְרוּ תוֹרָתֶֽךָ׃

Mine eyes have been bathed in streams of water, because I kept not your law.

137 צַדִּיק אַתָּה יְהוָה וְיָשָׁר מִשְׁפָּטֶֽיךָ׃

Righteous are you, O Lord, and upright are your judgments.

138 צִוִּיתָ צֶדֶק עֵדֹתֶיךָ וֶֽאֱמוּנָה מְאֹֽד׃

You has commanded righteousness and perfect truth, [as] your testimonies.

139 צִמְּתַתְנִי קִנְאָתִי כִּֽי־שָׁכְחוּ דְבָרֶיךָ צָרָֽי׃

Your zeal has quite wasted me: because mine enemies have forgotten your words.

140 צְרוּפָה אִמְרָתְךָ מְאֹד וְֽעַבְדְּךָ אֲהֵבָֽהּ׃

Your word [has been] very fully tried; and your servant loves it.

141 צָעִיר אָנֹכִי וְנִבְזֶה פִּקֻּדֶיךָ לֹא שָׁכָֽחְתִּי׃

I am young and despised: [yet] I have not forgotten your ordinances.

142 צִדְקָתְךָ צֶדֶק לְעוֹלָם וְֽתוֹרָתְךָ אֱמֶֽת׃

Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and your law is truth.

143 צַר־וּמָצוֹק מְצָאוּנִי מִצְוֺתֶיךָ שַׁעֲשֻׁעָֽי׃

Afflictions and distresses found me: [but] your commandments [were] my (meditation)

144 צֶדֶק עֵדְוֺתֶיךָ לְעוֹלָם הֲבִינֵנִי וְאֶחְיֶֽה׃

Your testimonies [are] an everlasting righteousness: instruct me, and I shall live.

145 קָרָאתִי בְכָל־לֵב עֲנֵנִי יְהוָה חֻקֶּיךָ אֶצֹּֽרָה׃

I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O Lord: I will search out your ordinances.

146 קְרָאתִיךָ הוֹשִׁיעֵנִי וְאֶשְׁמְרָה עֵדֹתֶֽיךָ׃

I cried to you; save me, and I will keep your testimonies.

147 קִדַּמְתִּי בַנֶּשֶׁף וָאֲשַׁוֵּעָה לדבריך לִדְבָרְךָ יִחָֽלְתִּי׃

I arose before the dawn, and cried: I hoped in your words.

148 קִדְּמוּ עֵינַי אַשְׁמֻרוֹת לָשִׂיחַ בְּאִמְרָתֶֽךָ׃

Mine eyes prevented the dawn, that I might meditate on your oracles.

149 קוֹלִי שִׁמְעָה כְחַסְדֶּךָ יְהוָה כְּֽמִשְׁפָּטֶךָ חַיֵּֽנִי׃

Hear my voice, O Lord, according to your mercy; quicken me according to your judgment.

150 קָרְבוּ רֹדְפֵי זִמָּה מִתּוֹרָתְךָ רָחָֽקוּ׃

They have drawn near who persecuted me unlawfully; and they are far removed from your law.

151 קָרוֹב אַתָּה יְהוָה וְֽכָל־מִצְוֺתֶיךָ אֱמֶֽת׃

You are near, O Lord; and all your ways are truth.

152 קֶדֶם יָדַעְתִּי מֵעֵדֹתֶיךָ כִּי לְעוֹלָם יְסַדְתָּֽם׃

I have known of old concerning your testimonies, that you have founded them for ever.

153 רְאֵֽה־עָנְיִי וְחַלְּצֵנִי כִּי־תֽוֹרָתְךָ לֹא שָׁכָֽחְתִּי׃

Look upon mine affliction, and rescue me; for I have not forgotten your law.

154 רִיבָה רִיבִי וּגְאָלֵנִי לְאִמְרָתְךָ חַיֵּֽנִי׃

Plead my cause, and ransom me: quicken me because of your word.

155 רָחוֹק מֵרְשָׁעִים יְשׁוּעָה כִּֽי־חֻקֶּיךָ לֹא דָרָֽשׁוּ׃

Salvation is far from sinners: for they have not searched out your ordinances.

156 רַחֲמֶיךָ רַבִּים ׀ יְהוָה כְּֽמִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ חַיֵּֽנִי׃

Your mercies, O Lord, are many: quicken me according to your judgment.

157 רַבִּים רֹדְפַי וְצָרָי מֵעֵדְוֺתֶיךָ לֹא נָטִֽיתִי׃

Many are they that persecute me and oppress me: [but] I have not declined from your testimonies.

158 רָאִיתִי בֹגְדִים וָֽאֶתְקוֹטָטָה אֲשֶׁר אִמְרָתְךָ לֹא שָׁמָֽרוּ׃

I saw men acting foolishly, and I pined away; for they kept not your oracles.

159 רְאֵה כִּי־פִקּוּדֶיךָ אָהָבְתִּי יְהוָה כְּֽחַסְדְּךָ חַיֵּֽנִי׃

Behold, I have loved your commandments, O Lord: quicken me in your mercy.

160 רֹאשׁ־דְּבָרְךָ אֱמֶת וּלְעוֹלָם כָּל־מִשְׁפַּט צִדְקֶֽךָ׃

The beginning of your words is truth; and all the judgments of your righteousness [endure] for ever.

161 שָׂרִים רְדָפוּנִי חִנָּם ומדבריך וּמִדְּבָרְךָ פָּחַד לִבִּֽי׃

Princes persecuted me without a cause, but my heart feared because of your words.

162 שָׂשׂ אָנֹכִֽי עַל־אִמְרָתֶךָ כְּמוֹצֵא שָׁלָל רָֽב׃

I will exult because of your oracles, as one that finds much spoil.

163 שֶׁקֶר שָׂנֵאתִי וַאֲתַעֵבָה תּוֹרָתְךָ אָהָֽבְתִּי׃

I hate and abhor unrighteousness; but I love your law.

164 שֶׁבַע בַּיּוֹם הִלַּלְתִּיךָ עַל מִשְׁפְּטֵי צִדְקֶֽךָ׃

Seven times in a day have I praised you because of the judgments of your righteousness.

165 שָׁלוֹם רָב לְאֹהֲבֵי תוֹרָתֶךָ וְאֵֽין־לָמוֹ מִכְשֽׁוֹל׃

Great peace have they that love your law: and there is no stumbling block to them.

166 שִׂבַּרְתִּי לִֽישׁוּעָתְךָ יְהוָה וּֽמִצְוֺתֶיךָ עָשִֽׂיתִי׃

I waited for your salvation, O Lord, and have loved your commandments.

167 שָֽׁמְרָה נַפְשִׁי עֵדֹתֶיךָ וָאֹהֲבֵם מְאֹֽד׃

My soul has kept your testimonies, and loved them exceedingly.

168 שָׁמַרְתִּי פִקּוּדֶיךָ וְעֵדֹתֶיךָ כִּי כָל־דְּרָכַי נֶגְדֶּֽךָ׃

I have kept your commandments and your testimonies; for all my ways are before you, O Lord.

169 תִּקְרַב רִנָּתִי לְפָנֶיךָ יְהוָה כִּדְבָרְךָ הֲבִינֵֽנִי׃

Let my supplication come near before you, o Lord; instruct me according to your oracle.

170 תָּבוֹא תְחִנָּתִי לְפָנֶיךָ כְּאִמְרָתְךָ הַצִּילֵֽנִי׃

Let my petition come in before you, O Lord; deliver me according to your oracle.

171 תַּבַּעְנָה שְׂפָתַי תְּהִלָּה כִּי תְלַמְּדֵנִי חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃

Let my lips utter a hymn, when you shall have taught me your ordinances.

172 תַּעַן לְשׁוֹנִי אִמְרָתֶךָ כִּי כָל־מִצְוֺתֶיךָ צֶּֽדֶק׃

Let my tongue utter your oracles; for all your commandments are righteous.

173 תְּהִֽי־יָדְךָ לְעָזְרֵנִי כִּי פִקּוּדֶיךָ בָחָֽרְתִּי׃

Let your hand be [prompt] to save me; for I have chosen your commandments.

174 תָּאַבְתִּי לִֽישׁוּעָתְךָ יְהוָה וְתֽוֹרָתְךָ שַׁעֲשֻׁעָֽי׃

I have longed after your salvation, O Lord; and your law is my (meditation)

175 תְּֽחִי־נַפְשִׁי וּֽתְהַֽלְלֶךָּ וּֽמִשְׁפָּטֶךָ יַעֲזְרֻֽנִי׃

My soul shall live, and shall praise you; and your judgments shall help me.

176 תָּעִיתִי כְּשֶׂה אֹבֵד בַּקֵּשׁ עַבְדֶּךָ כִּי מִצְוֺתֶיךָ לֹא שָׁכָֽחְתִּי׃

I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek your servant; for I have not forgotten your commandments.
