תהילים 108

1 שִׁיר מִזְמוֹר לְדָוִֽד׃ נָכוֹן לִבִּי אֱלֹהִים אָשִׁירָה וַאֲזַמְּרָה אַף־כְּבוֹדִֽי׃

My heart is steadfast, God. I will sing zahmar ·musical praise· and I will give kavod ·weighty glory·.

2 עוּרָֽה הַנֵּבֶל וְכִנּוֹר אָעִירָה שָּֽׁחַר׃

Wake up, harp and lyre! I will wake up the dawn.

3 אוֹדְךָ בָעַמִּים ׀ יְהוָה וַאֲזַמֶּרְךָ בַּל־אֻמִּֽים׃

I will yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to you, Adonai, among the nations. I will sing zahmar ·musical praise· to you among the peoples.

4 כִּֽי־גָדוֹל מֵֽעַל־שָׁמַיִם חַסְדֶּךָ וְֽעַד־שְׁחָקִים אֲמִתֶּֽךָ׃

For your chesed ·loving-kindness· is great above the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

5 רוּמָה עַל־שָׁמַיִם אֱלֹהִים וְעַל כָּל־הָאָרֶץ כְּבוֹדֶֽךָ׃

Be exalted, God, above the heavens! Let your kavod ·weighty glory· be over all the earth.

6 לְמַעַן יֵחָלְצוּן יְדִידֶיךָ הוֹשִׁיעָה יְמִֽינְךָ וַעֲנֵֽנִי׃

That your yadid ·beloved· may be delivered, save with your right hand, and answer us.

7 אֱלֹהִים ׀ דִּבֶּר בְּקָדְשׁוֹ אֶעְלֹזָה אֲחַלְּקָה שְׁכֶם וְעֵמֶק סֻכּוֹת אֲמַדֵּֽד׃

God has spoken from his sanctuary: “In triumph, I will divide Shechem, and measure out the valley of Sukkot.

8 לִי גִלְעָד ׀ לִי מְנַשֶּׁה וְאֶפְרַיִם מָעוֹז רֹאשִׁי יְהוּדָה מְחֹקְקִֽי׃

Gilead is mine. Manasseh [Causing to forget] is mine. Ephraim [Fruit] also is my helmet. Judah [Praised] is my scepter.

9 מוֹאָב ׀ סִיר רַחְצִי עַל־אֱדוֹם אַשְׁלִיךְ נַעֲלִי עֲלֵֽי־פְלֶשֶׁת אֶתְרוֹעָֽע׃

Moab [From father] is my wash pot. I will toss my sandal on Edom [Red]. I will shout over Philistia.”

10 מִי יֹבִלֵנִי עִיר מִבְצָר מִי נָחַנִי עַד־אֱדֽוֹם׃

Who will bring me into the fortified city? Who has led me to Edom [Red]?

11 הֲלֹֽא־אֱלֹהִים זְנַחְתָּנוּ וְֽלֹא־תֵצֵא אֱלֹהִים בְּצִבְאֹתֵֽינוּ׃

Haven’t you rejected us, God? You don’t go out, God, with our armies.

12 הָֽבָה־לָּנוּ עֶזְרָת מִצָּר וְשָׁוְא תְּשׁוּעַת אָדָֽם׃

Give us help against the enemy, for the help of man is vain.

13 בֵּֽאלֹהִים נַעֲשֶׂה־חָיִל וְהוּא יָבוּס צָרֵֽינוּ׃

Through God, we will do valiantly. For it is he who will tread down our enemies.
