מִשְׁלֵי 12

1 אֹהֵב מוּסָר אֹהֵֽב דָּעַת וְשֹׂנֵא תוֹכַחַת בָּֽעַר׃

to love: lover discipline to love: lover knowledge and to hate argument stupid

2 טוֹב יָפִיק רָצוֹן מֵיְהוָה וְאִישׁ מְזִמּוֹת יַרְשִֽׁיעַ׃

pleasant to promote acceptance from LORD and man plot be wicked

3 לֹא־יִכּוֹן אָדָם בְּרֶשַׁע וְשֹׁרֶשׁ צַדִּיקִים בַּל־יִמּֽוֹט׃

not to establish: establish man in/on/with wickedness and root righteous not to shake

4 אֵֽשֶׁת־חַיִל עֲטֶרֶת בַּעְלָהּ וּכְרָקָב בְּעַצְמוֹתָיו מְבִישָֽׁה׃

woman: wife strength: worthy crown master: husband her and like/as rottenness in/on/with bone his be ashamed

5 מַחְשְׁבוֹת צַדִּיקִים מִשְׁפָּט תַּחְבֻּלוֹת רְשָׁעִים מִרְמָֽה׃

plot righteous justice counsel wicked deceit

6 דִּבְרֵי רְשָׁעִים אֱרָב־דָּם וּפִי יְשָׁרִים יַצִּילֵֽם׃

word wicked to ambush blood and lip upright to rescue them

7 הָפוֹךְ רְשָׁעִים וְאֵינָם וּבֵית צַדִּיקִים יַעֲמֹֽד׃

to overturn wicked and nothing they and house: home righteous to stand: stand

8 לְֽפִי־שִׂכְלוֹ יְהֻלַּל־אִישׁ וְנַעֲוֵה־לֵב יִהְיֶה לָבֽוּז׃

9 טוֹב נִקְלֶה וְעֶבֶד לוֹ מִמְּתַכַּבֵּד וַחֲסַר־לָֽחֶם׃

10 יוֹדֵעַ צַדִּיק נֶפֶשׁ בְּהֶמְתּוֹ וְֽרַחֲמֵי רְשָׁעִים אַכְזָרִֽי׃

to know righteous soul: life animal his and compassion wicked cruel

11 עֹבֵד אַדְמָתוֹ יִֽשְׂבַּֽע־לָחֶם וּמְרַדֵּף רֵיקִים חֲסַר־לֵֽב׃

to serve: labour land: soil his to satisfy food: bread and to pursue worthless lacking heart

12 חָמַד רָשָׁע מְצוֹד רָעִים וְשֹׁרֶשׁ צַדִּיקִים יִתֵּֽן׃

to desire wicked net bad: evil and root righteous to give: give

13 בְּפֶשַׁע שְׂפָתַיִם מוֹקֵשׁ רָע וַיֵּצֵא מִצָּרָה צַדִּֽיק׃

in/on/with transgression lips snare bad: evil and to come out: come from distress righteous

14 מִפְּרִי פִי־אִישׁ יִשְׂבַּע־טוֹב וּגְמוּל יְדֵי־אָדָם ישוב יָשִׁיב לֽוֹ׃

15 דֶּרֶךְ אֱוִיל יָשָׁר בְּעֵינָיו וְשֹׁמֵעַ לְעֵצָה חָכָֽם׃

16 אֱוִיל בַּיּוֹם יִוָּדַע כַּעְסוֹ וְכֹסֶה קָלוֹן עָרֽוּם׃

17 יָפִיחַ אֱמוּנָה יַגִּיד צֶדֶק וְעֵד שְׁקָרִים מִרְמָֽה׃

18 יֵשׁ בּוֹטֶה כְּמַדְקְרוֹת חָרֶב וּלְשׁוֹן חֲכָמִים מַרְפֵּֽא׃

19 שְֽׂפַת־אֱמֶת תִּכּוֹן לָעַד וְעַד־אַרְגִּיעָה לְשׁוֹן שָֽׁקֶר׃

20 מִרְמָה בְּלֶב־חֹרְשֵׁי רָע וּֽלְיֹעֲצֵי שָׁלוֹם שִׂמְחָֽה׃

21 לֹא־יְאֻנֶּה לַצַּדִּיק כָּל־אָוֶן וּרְשָׁעִים מָלְאוּ רָֽע׃

not to meet to/for righteous all evil: trouble and wicked to fill bad: evil

22 תּוֹעֲבַת יְהוָה שִׂפְתֵי־שָׁקֶר וְעֹשֵׂי אֱמוּנָה רְצוֹנֽוֹ׃

23 אָדָם עָרוּם כֹּסֶה דָּעַת וְלֵב כְּסִילִים יִקְרָא אִוֶּֽלֶת׃

man prudent to cover knowledge and heart fool to call: call out folly

24 יַד־חָרוּצִים תִּמְשׁוֹל ורְמִיָּה תִּהְיֶה לָמַֽס׃

25 דְּאָגָה בְלֶב־אִישׁ יַשְׁחֶנָּה וְדָבָר טוֹב יְשַׂמְּחֶֽנָּה׃

26 יָתֵר מֵרֵעֵהוּ צַדִּיק וְדֶרֶךְ רְשָׁעִים תַּתְעֵֽם׃

27 לֹא־יַחֲרֹךְ רְמִיָּה צֵידוֹ וְהוֹן־אָדָם יָקָר חָרֽוּץ׃

28 בְּאֹֽרַח־צְדָקָה חַיִּים וְדֶרֶךְ נְתִיבָה אַל־מָֽוֶת׃
