| תִּמְשֹׁךְ לִוְיָתָן בְּחַכָּה וּבְחֶבֶל תַּשְׁקִיעַ לְשֹׁנֽוֹ׃ | 1 |
to draw Leviathan in/on/with hook and in/on/with cord to sink tongue his
| הֲתָשִׂים אַגְמוֹן בְּאַפּוֹ וּבְחוֹחַ תִּקּוֹב לֶֽחֱיוֹ׃ | 2 |
to set: put bulrush in/on/with face: nose his and in/on/with thistle to pierce jaw his
| הֲיַרְבֶּה אֵלֶיךָ תַּחֲנוּנִים אִם־יְדַבֵּר אֵלֶיךָ רַכּֽוֹת׃ | 3 |
to multiply to(wards) you supplication if: surely yes to speak: speak to(wards) you tender
| הֲיִכְרֹת בְּרִית עִמָּךְ תִּקָּחֶנּוּ לְעֶבֶד עוֹלָֽם׃ | 4 |
to cut: make(covenant) covenant with you to take: take him to/for servant/slave forever: enduring
| הֽ͏ַתְשַׂחֶק־בּוֹ כַּצִּפּוֹר וְתִקְשְׁרֶנּוּ לְנַעֲרוֹתֶֽיךָ׃ | 5 |
to laugh in/on/with him like/as bird and to conspire him to/for maiden your
| יִכְרוּ עָלָיו חַבָּרִים יֶחֱצוּהוּ בֵּין כְּֽנַעֲנִֽים׃ | 6 |
to trade upon him associate to divide him between: among merchant
| הַֽתְמַלֵּא בְשֻׂכּוֹת עוֹרוֹ וּבְצִלְצַל דָּגִים רֹאשֽׁוֹ׃ | 7 |
to fill in/on/with spear skin his and in/on/with spear fish head his
| שִׂים־עָלָיו כַּפֶּךָ זְכֹר מִלְחָמָה אַל־תּוֹסַֽף׃ | 8 |
to set: put upon him palm your to remember battle not to add: again
| הֵן־תֹּחַלְתּוֹ נִכְזָבָה הֲגַם אֶל־מַרְאָיו יֻטָֽל׃ | 9 |
look! hope his to lie also to(wards) appearance his to cast
| לֹֽא־אַכְזָר כִּי יְעוּרֶנּוּ וּמִי הוּא לְפָנַי יִתְיַצָּֽב׃ | 10 |
not cruel for to rouse him and who? he/she/it to/for face: before my to stand
| מִי הִקְדִּימַנִי וַאֲשַׁלֵּם תַּחַת כָּל־הַשָּׁמַיִם לִי־הֽוּא׃ | 11 |
who? to meet me and to complete underneath: under all [the] heaven to/for me he/she/it
| לא־לֽוֹ־אַחֲרִישׁ בַּדָּיו וּדְבַר־גְּבוּרוֹת וְחִין עֶרְכּֽוֹ׃ | 12 |

| מִֽי־גִלָּה פְּנֵי לְבוּשׁוֹ בְּכֶפֶל רִסְנוֹ מִי יָבֽוֹא׃ | 13 |

| דַּלְתֵי פָנָיו מִי פִתֵּחַ סְבִיבוֹת שִׁנָּיו אֵימָֽה׃ | 14 |

| גַּאֲוָה אֲפִיקֵי מָֽגִנִּים סָגוּר חוֹתָם צָֽר׃ | 15 |
pride channel shield to shut signet narrow
| אֶחָד בְּאֶחָד יִגַּשׁוּ וְרוּחַ לֹא־יָבוֹא בֵֽינֵיהֶֽם׃ | 16 |
one in/on/with one to approach: approach and spirit: breath not to come (in): come between them
| אִישׁ־בְּאָחִיהוּ יְדֻבָּקוּ יִתְלַכְּדוּ וְלֹא יִתְפָּרָֽדוּ׃ | 17 |

| עֲֽטִישֹׁתָיו תָּהֶל אוֹר וְעֵינָיו כְּעַפְעַפֵּי־שָֽׁחַר׃ | 18 |
sneezing his to shine light and eye his like/as eyelid dawn
| מִפִּיו לַפִּידִים יַהֲלֹכוּ כִּידוֹדֵי אֵשׁ יִתְמַלָּֽטוּ׃ | 19 |
from lip his torch to go: went spark fire to escape
| מִנְּחִירָיו יֵצֵא עָשָׁן כְּדוּד נָפוּחַ וְאַגְמֹֽן׃ | 20 |
from nostril his to come out: come smoke like/as pot to breathe and bulrush
| נַפְשׁוֹ גֶּחָלִים תְּלַהֵט וְלַהַב מִפִּיו יֵצֵֽא׃ | 21 |
soul: life his coal to kindle and flame from lip his to come out: come
| בְּֽצַוָּארוֹ יָלִין עֹז וּלְפָנָיו תָּדוּץ דְּאָבָֽה׃ | 22 |
in/on/with neck his to lodge strength and to/for face: before his to dance dismay
| מַפְּלֵי בְשָׂרוֹ דָבֵקוּ יָצוּק עָלָיו בַּל־יִמּֽוֹט׃ | 23 |
refuse flesh his to cleave to pour: cast metal upon him not to shake
| לִבּוֹ יָצוּק כְּמוֹ־אָבֶן וְיָצוּק כְּפֶלַח תַּחְתִּֽית׃ | 24 |
heart his to pour: firm like stone and to pour: firm like/as millstone lower
| מִשֵּׂתוֹ יָגוּרוּ אֵלִים מִשְּׁבָרִים יִתְחַטָּֽאוּ׃ | 25 |
from elevation his to dread god from breaking to sin
| מַשִּׂיגֵהוּ חֶרֶב בְּלִי תָקוּם חֲנִית מַסָּע וְשִׁרְיָֽה׃ | 26 |
to overtake him sword without to arise: establish spear missile and lance
| יַחְשֹׁב לְתֶבֶן בַּרְזֶל לְעֵץ רִקָּבוֹן נְחוּשָֽׁה׃ | 27 |
to devise: think to/for straw iron to/for tree: wood rottenness bronze
| לֹֽא־יַבְרִיחֶנּוּ בֶן־קָשֶׁת לְקַשׁ נֶהְפְּכוּ־לוֹ אַבְנֵי־קָֽלַע׃ | 28 |
not to flee him son: type of bow to/for stubble to overturn to/for him stone sling
| כְּקַשׁ נֶחְשְׁבוּ תוֹתָח וְיִשְׂחַק לְרַעַשׁ כִּידֽוֹן׃ | 29 |
like/as stubble to devise: think club and to laugh to/for quaking javelin
| תַּחְתָּיו חַדּוּדֵי חָרֶשׂ יִרְפַּד חָרוּץ עֲלֵי־טִֽיט׃ | 30 |

| יַרְתִּיחַ כַּסִּיר מְצוּלָה יָם יָשִׂים כַּמֶּרְקָחָֽה׃ | 31 |
to boil like/as pot depth sea to set: make like/as ointment pot/seasoning
| אַחֲרָיו יָאִיר נָתִיב יַחְשֹׁב תְּהוֹם לְשֵׂיבָֽה׃ | 32 |
after him to light path to devise: think abyss to/for greyheaded
| אֵֽין־עַל־עָפָר מָשְׁלוֹ הֶעָשׂוּ לִבְלִי־חָֽת׃ | 33 |
nothing upon dust likeness his [the] to make to/for without terror
| אֵֽת־כָּל־גָּבֹהַּ יִרְאֶה הוּא מֶלֶךְ עַל־כָּל־בְּנֵי־שָֽׁחַץ׃ | 34 |
