איוב 39

1 הֲיָדַעְתָּ עֵת לֶדֶת יַעֲלֵי־סָלַע חֹלֵל אַיָּלוֹת תִּשְׁמֹֽר׃

to know time to beget goat crag to twist: give birth doe to keep: look at

2 תִּסְפֹּר יְרָחִים תְּמַלֶּאנָה וְיָדַעְתָּ עֵת לִדְתָּֽנָה׃

to recount month to fill and to know time to beget they

3 תִּכְרַעְנָה יַלְדֵיהֶן תְּפַלַּחְנָה חֶבְלֵיהֶם תְּשַׁלַּֽחְנָה׃

to bow youth their to cleave pain their to send: let go

4 יַחְלְמוּ בְנֵיהֶם יִרְבּוּ בַבָּר יָצְאוּ וְלֹא־שָׁבוּ לָֽמוֹ׃

be healthy son: child their to multiply in/on/with field to come out: come and not to return: return to/for them

5 מִֽי־שִׁלַּח פֶּרֶא חָפְשִׁי וּמֹסְרוֹת עָרוֹד מִי פִתֵּֽחַ׃

who? to send: let go wild donkey free and bond wild donkey who? to open

6 אֲשֶׁר־שַׂמְתִּי עֲרָבָה בֵיתוֹ וּֽמִשְׁכְּנוֹתָיו מְלֵֽחָה׃

which to set: put plain house: home his and tabernacle his saltiness

7 יִשְׂחַק לַהֲמוֹן קִרְיָה תְּשֻׁאוֹת נוֹגֵשׂ לֹא יִשְׁמָֽע׃

to laugh to/for crowd town shout to oppress not to hear: hear

8 יְתוּר הָרִים מִרְעֵהוּ וְאַחַר כָּל־יָרוֹק יִדְרֽוֹשׁ׃

to spy mountain: mount pasture his and after all green to seek

9 הֲיֹאבֶה רֵּים עָבְדֶךָ אִם־יָלִין עַל־אֲבוּסֶֽךָ׃

be willing wild ox to serve you if: surely no to lodge upon crib your

10 הֲ‍ֽתִקְשָׁר־רֵים בְּתֶלֶם עֲבֹתוֹ אִם־יְשַׂדֵּד עֲמָקִים אַחֲרֶֽיךָ׃

to conspire wild ox in/on/with furrow cord his if: surely no to harrow valley after you

11 הֲֽתִבְטַח־בּוֹ כִּי־רַב כֹּחוֹ וְתַעֲזֹב אֵלָיו יְגִיעֶֽךָ׃

to trust in/on/with him for many strength his and to leave: forsake to(wards) him toil your

12 הֲתַאֲמִין בּוֹ כִּי־ישוב יָשִׁיב זַרְעֶךָ וְֽגָרְנְךָ יֶאֱסֹֽף׃

be faithful in/on/with him for (to return: return *Q(K)*) seed your and threshing floor your to gather

13 כְּנַף־רְנָנִים נֶעֱלָסָה אִם־אֶבְרָה חֲסִידָה וְנֹצָֽה׃

wing ostrich to rejoice if: surely yes pinion stork and plumage

14 כִּֽי־תַעֲזֹב לָאָרֶץ בֵּצֶיהָ וְֽעַל־עָפָר תְּחַמֵּֽם׃

for to leave: forsake to/for land: country/planet egg her and upon dust to warm

15 וַתִּשְׁכַּח כִּי־רֶגֶל תְּזוּרֶהָ וְחַיַּת הַשָּׂדֶה תְּדוּשֶֽׁהָ׃

and to forget for foot to crush her and living thing [the] land: wildlife to tread her

16 הִקְשִׁיחַ בָּנֶיהָ לְּלֹא־לָהּ לְרִיק יְגִיעָהּ בְּלִי־פָֽחַד׃

to harden son: young animal her to/for not to/for her to/for vain toil her without dread

17 כִּֽי־הִשָּׁהּ אֱלוֹהַּ חָכְמָה וְלֹא־חָלַק לָהּ בַּבִּינָֽה׃

for to forget her god wisdom and not to divide to/for her in/on/with understanding

18 כָּעֵת בַּמָּרוֹם תַּמְרִיא תִּֽשְׂחַק לַסּוּס וּלְרֹֽכְבֽוֹ׃

like/as time in/on/with height to flap to laugh to/for horse and to/for to ride his

19 הֲתִתֵּן לַסּוּס גְּבוּרָה הֲתַלְבִּישׁ צַוָּארוֹ רַעְמָֽה׃

to give: give to/for horse might to clothe neck his mane

20 הְֽתַרְעִישֶׁנּוּ כָּאַרְבֶּה הוֹד נַחְרוֹ אֵימָֽה׃

to shake him like/as locust splendor snorting his terror

21 יַחְפְּרוּ בָעֵמֶק וְיָשִׂישׂ בְּכֹחַ יֵצֵא לִקְרַאת־נָֽשֶׁק׃

to search in/on/with valley and to rejoice in/on/with strength to come out: come to/for to encounter: meet weapon

22 יִשְׂחַק לְפַחַד וְלֹא יֵחָת וְלֹֽא־יָשׁוּב מִפְּנֵי־חָֽרֶב׃

to laugh to/for dread and not to to be dismayed and not to return: return from face: before sword

23 עָלָיו תִּרְנֶה אַשְׁפָּה לַהַב חֲנִית וְכִידֽוֹן׃

upon him to rattle quiver flame spear and javelin

24 בְּרַעַשׁ וְרֹגֶז יְגַמֶּא־אָרֶץ וְלֹֽא־יַאֲמִין כִּי־קוֹל שׁוֹפָֽר׃

25 בְּדֵי שֹׁפָר ׀ יֹאמַר הֶאָח וּֽמֵרָחוֹק יָרִיחַ מִלְחָמָה רַעַם שָׂרִים וּתְרוּעָֽה׃

26 הֲ‍ֽמִבִּינָתְךָ יַֽאֲבֶר־נֵץ יִפְרֹשׂ כנפו כְּנָפָיו לְתֵימָֽן׃

27 אִם־עַל־פִּיךָ יַגְבִּיהַּ נָשֶׁר וְכִי יָרִים קִנּֽוֹ׃

28 סֶלַע יִשְׁכֹּן וְיִתְלֹנָן עַֽל־שֶׁן־סֶלַע וּמְצוּדָֽה׃

29 מִשָּׁם חָֽפַר־אֹכֶל לְמֵרָחוֹק עֵינָיו יַבִּֽיטוּ׃

30 ואפרחו וְאֶפְרֹחָיו יְעַלְעוּ־דָם וּבַאֲשֶׁר חֲלָלִים שָׁם הֽוּא׃
